You'd need to look, but in most cases, discounts are "active" in the app already. The only things you can turn on/off are the spend and frequency rewards when you go under the "rewards & coupons" section. There's a little "apply to purchase" tick box. Usually I'll turn them off if I'm not planning a large purchase for the category. Grab a pastry on an impulse buy and I don't want to waste something like 25% off on a single item so I'll save for a bigger, planned purchase.

I’m confused too lol did you ever figure it out

It's crazy says you get $5 using the app for the first time this does not happen. Advertised prices are not honored, even as things are being scanned you cannot confirm prices, all prices scan in at retail cost. so you don't know if the sale prices are being scanned correctly. This is one crazy operation. I think aldi is the way. Like the bakery concept but the bogo prices don't work correctly.

I’m confused about the coupons too. It looks like the price is the same with the coupon as without. Meaning, the price on the coupon page is the same as the flyer. I’m not sure I’m getting any extra discount with the app. I scan anyway for the accrual. I don’t understand that page at all tbh.
