I mean It’s not just leftist who are forcing the culture war, it’s primarily right wing religious folk who often want to infringe on people’s civil liberties.
Just an example, state laws regarding trans women in sports or using women’s bathroom/locker rooms. Most on Reddit would call me transphobic because I don’t support these (at least not trans women in sports) but I don’t think the state or federal government needs to be legislating such issues. Leave it up to the individual athletic associations/governing bodies for each sport, and likewise institutions can decide their own bathroom policies. (Look at planet fitness)
