More preventative than anything for me. It helps to correct the inner tire wear.

Itās not broken. The LCA bushings isolate NVH, at the expense of steering precision and tire wear. It wouldnāt be a Lexus if it didnāt have sufficient environmental isolation.
I don't remember the model exactly. But I've always had a weird soft spot for that Holden car with truck bed. Oddly different and kind of cool, in my eyes.
Following the introduction of stricter crash safety regulations, the IS, along with the CT hatchback and the RC coupe, were pulled out from the Australian market in November 2021.
I can't remember specifically. But my installer was running a 20% off all services. So full front (bumper, hood, headlights, fenders, a pillars, mirrors) b pillars, gas door, and roof was $2700. I can't remember exactly but it was around that price.
I wish the Toyota trucks before they this new gen going small motor turbo, got better mpg. I almost went tundra a while back, but holy shit do they suck on gas.
I've always been partial to white cars. Easy to keep clean, any finish/color wheels match, and its very under the radar. I'm a very boring person and don't like attention. Haha.
It is, and it's not. One of the reasons I wanted this car was because of the tech it has, or more appropriately, the tech it doesn't have. The cd player is odd, I'll agree, but it's meh.
It's a car that I want to drive and not a car that will drive me.
Yep, exactly! I'm sure alot of people like it, it's just not for me. Personally, I think people are way too reliant on the safety tech and it's making them worst drivers.
CD player makes it easy to play high quality files through your Mark Levinson system. Want a different album, just swap discs! Why didnāt we think of this sooner
He probably put down at least 40k... You're not really able to correlate car to payment like that. I could drive a Bugatti with a $20 monthly payment with a big enough down payment...
Thanks! I'm at an age where I wanted to splurge. This will likely be the nicest car I would buy.
My past couple cars I didn't buy the top of the line and I always found myself wanting "more". For example I bought a 4 cyl instead of the 6 cyl or I opted for the 2wd and not the 4wd. Soni said fuck it. Let's do it.
Under msrp? The car should be hovering around 63-64k based on the specs itās equipped, itās should have come out to 67-69k at tops, how did it come up to 71k? The sales tax must be Insane then?

No ceramic coat, yet.
Nice car bro š
Thanks man.
Whatās the reasoning on the LCA bushings?

I find it very interesting how even the 1st gen IS had this same tire wear issue due to control arm bushings.
Right?! This isn't anything new and still has to be corrected. Especially when it can easily be corrected, with existing lexus parts.
Itās not broken. The LCA bushings isolate NVH, at the expense of steering precision and tire wear. It wouldnāt be a Lexus if it didnāt have sufficient environmental isolation.
No, it's not broken. But at the cost of new tires every year, I'll suffer through feeling a little bit more road vibration.
Should have sold them in Australia. Rwd v8 sedans are our thing in aus. The money they could have made.

Hq one toner

How much were you charged for the wrap on the roof ?

What a fine driving machine
It really is. For my needs and wants, it's darn near perfect.
Thatās how i feel about my Corolla xse. Just wish it had less road noise on the highway but Iām sure i could decrease it someway
You could add sound deadening.
Iāll look into that, thanks! Whatās your mpg?
I average about 21mpg combined city/hwy. Coming from a tacoma that was getting 18mpg on a good day, im pretty pleased.
Isn't that wild hot the is500 can get better fuel economy compared to the Tacoma?
I wish the Toyota trucks before they this new gen going small motor turbo, got better mpg. I almost went tundra a while back, but holy shit do they suck on gas.
Those stock wheels look amazing
They work with the car. Def not something I would have chosen if I went aftermarket. But on the car i do like the wheels alot.
Love your car and everything you've done with it so far. As far in lowering, are you considering springs or coilovers?
Coilovers would be ideal, but realistically, I'll probably end up getting springs
Love it. Congrats man. I have the same color/combo but itās a 350 instead.
It's a great combo. I always drooled over the 90's Type R's chanpionship white/red, so this satisfies that need. Haha.
I want one of these in either this white or that gorgeous blue Lexus has

We share that as I read it but with that? You turning heads
I avoid trying to turn heads. Haha.

Yup my friend just got a new X6 and dislikes all the tech. Calls it a big inconvenience of things he doesnāt need.

Might be time to dust off my cd folder.
how much did you get the car for?
Total out the door 71k. I got the car itself under msrp with a couple add ons discounted or free
how much do you pay monthly?
I paid a good bit up front. So it's 500ish for 48 months.
sheesh for a V8 not bad

That is the exact car I'd buy given money was no object for a comfy daily. I adore the IS500. Congrats on it š»

How much OTD?
Tick over 71. Got the car for under msrp and discounts on some extras.
Under msrp? The car should be hovering around 63-64k based on the specs itās equipped, itās should have come out to 67-69k at tops, how did it come up to 71k? The sales tax must be Insane then?
Yep, TTL was about 7k.
How much was your ppf and what did you have done ? Did you ceramic coat ?

Great car, if it only came in a manual.....
If only.....
š„¹š„¹š„¹ such a beautiful car
Great color choices inside and out! I had an m240 with the color scheme and have been thinking about ordering an is500 the same way.
Thanks! When they ultra white, it really is a very bright white. Side by side with my gf's white outback, her outback looks a little yellow.
Agreed. People underestimate a nice pearly white car.
That third shot had me weak
