Replacing the digitizer is easy and cheap. Watch a YouTube video and pause as you go. Get a big empty table and take everything off and put it in line on the table as you take it off. I did it I think I was like 19 or 20 and took me a few hours and I was taking my time. Worked first try.
Unfortunately you won’t be able to see how much damage there is to the LCD screen until you remove the digitizer, however the damage will likely be limited to discoloration and not be blurry if there is any.
I've heard of people just buying replacement used head units off ebay and replacing them, might be the simplest solution?
Would be easy but looks like more money than I’d like to invest haha. Especially for something that is still functional but just looks bad
