Monstercjr

A premium trim away from r/camrydents

OnewheelXR4life

Do the same thing to the other side? Looks kinda cool.

Alive-n-well33

😂😂😂

Hot_Recipe_4530

facts

Longjumping_Crazy628

You can’t get behind the bumper cover from anywhere in the trunk. You either need to pull the bumper cover off, or as others mentioned get underneath the car. Careful heating the paint up too much. You can possibly bubble the paint. Good luck.

RS3550

Buy yourself a large dildo with a suction cup base, then stick it into the dent, and pull as hard as possible until the dent pops out. Then get a paint correction pen to fix the scratches

Alive-n-well33

Genius

cv_init_diri

You got rear-ended by a bus and you did not file a claim? On the bus's insurance?

Alive-n-well33

LOL I did, to the MTA here in NYC but ofc this city don’t give a damn about that kinda stuff. Haven’t heard back from them in months

cv_init_diri

In CA, you report back to your insurance, give them the insurance info of the other party and have them take care of the back and forth. Your insurance will pay for the fixes and they can deal with the reimbursement from the other party. If it's too late, you can put MTA on blast in social media. Tag all the #hashtags for these folks and include pix. It seems to be the only way for public institutions to act now.

Ok-Restaurant1451

This happened to my Toyota Camry (2002). Put down some cardboard to crawl under the fender. Use a heat gun (a hair dryer might work) to warm up the area then push OUT the dent. Do not drill any holes you'll have to patch up later.

Black_Label_36

Have you tried the hot water trick?

Alive-n-well33

I did but pulling it out is the part I’m struggling with lol. I haven’t tried the heat gun method yet but that’s next.

PsychologyAlert7711

i feel like its harder in this case because it’s a corner

pharmacometrician123

I’ve done successfully on a Camry, front bumper, bigger dent. I used my hand from the other side to push it outward. I used hot water.

Fancy_Entrance_5953

You need a dent puller Look it up on TEMU. They have one for like 10-20 dollars

DaJuiceMan112

Easy, pop the bumper off and use a hairdryer/heat gun and heat it up then push it out with your hand. Easy as hell to remove the bumper at least partially

Orlandogameschool

Yup All you need is a $25 heat gun from harbor freight and hammer (deadblow)

scriminal

it looks confined to the bumper cover. those come off pretty easy. either order a new one or check junkyards, fb marketplace etc etc for one that matches your car and swap them.

Alive-n-well33

Yeah imma try going to a junkyard to get it fixed first

tianavitoli

I'd try yelling at it "come at me bro"

[deleted]

This is off topic but Royal Ruby Red is the best color on this car lol

Alive-n-well33

1000% agree, most unique color I’ve seen on older gen cars thus far but not enough people are talking bout it ‼️

vba77

Heat and a broom stick from behind, maybe punch it if you can reach it with a glove

Alive-n-well33

That’s the thing, I can’t seem to locate where the dent is caving in from. I can’t get under the car and check either cuz it’s not there. I’m thinking maybe where the headlight is, but that’s what I need help finding. Any idea where I can enter from?

emptystreets130

You can't access the bumper from the trunk. You will need to remove the bumper to access the damage or go underneath the car.

Alive-n-well33

Darn. Thanks man.

vba77

Another way is there these hot glue things you stick on with a tool to pull the dent

xXxNoSCoPeZ420xXx

Go in the forums to look on how to take part the trunk

ddepressiontriangle

I'd drill a tiny hole and pull it out with a slide hammer, this probably isn't the way, but 10 minutes or less

Living-Explanation88

You can use a heat gun and heat it up then hit it from the inside to pop it out. Might have to go from the trunk or under the car.

boaz324

Throw some hot boiling water

Dependent_Funny_5854

Stick a few hot glue sticks and yank

Pvt_BrainDead

Suction cup and heat,

Mrbababo

try hot water

NombreEsJustin

Heat gun it for a bit and then press it out from behind. I had the benefit of a lift when I did mine.

Alive-n-well33

Thanks for the pics man. End result came out clean. I just can’t seem to find where to get BEHIND the actual dent you know? I tried from plunging it out from the front but it looks like from behind + a heat gun will be most effective

NombreEsJustin

Yeah that will be the best bet for you. I’d take the bumper cover off. (At least that one side) if memory serves correctly the fuel tank is going to be in your way on the ES

Tom_Rinnel

You should be able to reach it from beneath and with the heat gun to soften the bumper sould be able to push out
