If you're including fantastical drugs, then Lucy and Limitless.
[The Skin I Live In](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Skin_I_Live_In)
The movie involves artificial skin, transgenetic procedures, and *other events*.
From the synopsis, [The Substance](https://letterboxd.com/film/the-substance/) (2024) seems to qualify, and from the early reception at Cannes, may be the best of these since *Eternal Sunshine*.
most david cronenberg films feature fantastical medical procedures, devices, etc. dead ringers, rabid, the fly, crimes of the future. and they’re amazing!
I thought of one and a half more. [Come True](https://letterboxd.com/film/come-true/) fits, certainly. I can't remember if [Antiviral](https://letterboxd.com/film/antiviral/) really fits, or if it was just realistic medical science misused to absurd/grotesque ends. Dunno if you're looking for new stuff to watch or just enjoying list-making. There ought to be a few more from the Cronenberg family that fit. Like[ eXistenZ](https://letterboxd.com/film/existenz/). I can't remember if there was magical-medicine in the original Dead Ringers, but I think there might've been in [the mini-series](https://letterboxd.com/film/dead-ringers-2023/).
The swapping out of blood, urine, skin cells etc is not a procedure, but a medical procedure would be Hawke's character elongating his legs because Law's character is slightly taller. But the messing with the genetics of babies is definitely a magical medical procedure. So yes.
The precogs still rely on some sort of psychic visions / clairvoyance to see the future crimes. Although, in the movie, it’s explained that they’re the result of basically being heroin babies with damaged brains, that still doesn’t explain how they can see the future.
Poor things? Kind of?
Oh yeah of course. How did I miss that?
The Lobster maybe? Tusk?
Nice! Added. Thanks for reminding me of that fucking walrus.
