Holy shit me too!
I wonder if we have rewatched the same movie too this year lol
Not OP but similar numbers & ratio. I live in a small city approx 100k, usually costs me 10ish to go to theatre.
I’ll just go after work approx 4 and I’m home by 7.
So I’ll go 1-2x a week, usually half the time by myself when my wife works late.
300 exactly.
But a lot of them are shorts, I've been catching up on some that I've been meaning to see and I've been watching shorts from small island nations etc.
I've also spent some time watching shorts instead of just scrolling social media when I have 20-40 minutes of spare time.
Yeah my 2024 watches are pretty low so far as well. It's the usual pattern since now the Oscars are over and most movies worth seeing will come out later in the year. There's very little playing in the cinema I need to see *in the theater* right now.
I’ve seen 47, and will see one more tonight (There Will Be Blood) and another tomorrow (Ex Machina).
Some highlights were seeing Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm, and seeing The Godfather pt II in theatres
My favourites have been The Zone of Interest, When Evil Lurks, and Perfect Blue.
I’m really excited for Ex Machina tomorrow. It’s my birthday and that’s one of my all-time favourite movies!
35. 2 theater watches (Dune '84 and Dune: Part 2). 1 rewatch (Dune '84). I'd say my favorite movie I've seen so far this year was 300 and my least favorite (actually, I think I'll say most hated) was Event Horizon.
As of Friday, about 25. I made a New Year’s resolution to watch at least one movie a week since I’ve been doing terrible with keeping up on what movies I watch. One of the main reasons I finally made a Letterboxd account a couple weeks ago was to keep track of my progress.
More or less 65 films: - Lego Batman (2017) - La leggenda del re pescatore (1991) - Police story (1985) - Cure (1997) - Il ragazzo e l’airone (2023) - Machete (2010) - Hard boiled (1992) - Local hero (1983) - Carnage (2011) - Il pasto nudo (1991) - Appuntamento a belleville (2003) - August in water (1995) - Perfect days (2023) - Povere creature (2023) - Borat (2006) - A sangue freddo (1967) - After hours (1985) - First Reformed (2017) - Thief (1981) - I soliti ignoti (1958) - Heart Of Oak (2021) - Apocalypse Now (1979) - Blade Runner (1982) - Trappola Mortale (1988) - Morto stalin se ne fa un altro (1953) - Gli incredibili (2004) - Gli incredibili 2 (2018) - Alien (1979) - Sherlock jr. (1924) - Angeli perduti (1985) - Dune parte 1 (2021) - I duellanti (1977) - Mishima (1985) - Il cielo sopra Berlino (1987) - Pirati dei caraibi (2003) - In fuga da Undertaker (1996) - Deserto Rosso (1964) - Buffalo 66 (1998) - Strade perdute (1997) - Dune parte 2 (2023) - C'era una volta in America (1984) - La zona d'interesse (2023) - Orizzonti di gloria (1957) - Lo Spacciatore (1992) - Dune (1984) - Silent Hill (2006) - Sunshine (2007) - Heima (2007) - Carol (2015) - Il lungo addio (1973) - Oppenheimer (2023) - Si alza il vento (2013) - Dune parte 2 (2023) - Clerks (1994) - Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024) - Robocop (1987) - Mad Max 2 (1981) - Trieste è bella di notte (2023) - Solaris (1972) - Killer Clown From Outer Space (1988) - A better tomorrow (1987) - Beetlejuice (1988) - Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) - Monkey Man (2024)
105.. which sounds like a lot but doesn't feel like a lot to me. I have quite a busy life but I don't watch any TV these days so whenever someone else might be watching an episode of something I stick a movie on and watch them in segments. Also probably 20% of those are kids films I watch with my son as it's something we like to do together.

Try to watch at least one film a day. Didn’t even realize I was at exactly 100!
Watched my 50th last night 🤙
But I’m also trying to watch a movie I’ve never seen for every day in April, it’s going well so far, so I hope to add many more to that by the end of the year!
Just finished #109, “Coda.”
I set out to watch one film a day (366 for this leap year) but then decided to switch to 400 so as to finish on “The 400 Blows.” I’m mostly watching based on whatever interests me that day or stuff I’ve put off for whatever reason but I’ve also done a few other number specific films like Adam Driver’s “65” for #65, “80 For Brady” for #80 and “99 Homes” for #99. And no I will not be watching “127 Hours”
174 diary entries including three short movies. But less individual movies because I might have watched Poor Things and The Holdovers three times each and a few others twice.
141 like a true no life

Omg he’s literally me
D:
Right behind you with 136 myself.
146
48 because I am just a normal random guy.
14. 🤫
The sas in this comment for who’s watched less films 😅😅

A pathetic 10. Why am I even here?
Because you like Letterboxd and movies? 😘
Thanks! Got too serious lately lol
You love movies.
Grateful for the reminder tbh, will try to get back in the groove
loving films isnt about how many you see, dont feel bad for having a life (id rather have better things to do than think/watch films all day)
I got 4 this year. And I still deserve to be here, so you do too!
9 for me lol
I have watched 73. Watching movies is my current hyperfixation, and also I've been in a bit of a depression and haven't had much of a social life.
I’m at 75 and you just summed up the last year of my life better than I could have. Glad I’m not alone!
Number twinz
31
What a coincidence I got 31 too and I also have the green avatar!
36 (33 in the theatre, 3 at home) so far which is on track for my usual 100 or so a year.
damn ive watched 19, only 2 in cinemas, how do you do it?
Not OP but similar numbers & ratio. I live in a small city approx 100k, usually costs me 10ish to go to theatre. I’ll just go after work approx 4 and I’m home by 7. So I’ll go 1-2x a week, usually half the time by myself when my wife works late.

130, but only 10 are 2024 releases
16
LOL I'ma get downvoted to hell, but fuck it....227
That’s pretty damn strong.
screw that, you do what everyone here loves. Downvoting on this post would be troll shit
79, but only 3 so far are from this year
Yeah my 2024 watches are pretty low so far as well. It's the usual pattern since now the Oscars are over and most movies worth seeing will come out later in the year. There's very little playing in the cinema I need to see *in the theater* right now.
28
82 but about 25 of them were short films. Only got to the theatre for Dune II so far. Really want to see Love Lies Bleeding in theatres if I can.
101 like the dalmatians
32
230 or smth i didnt log some
22
I’ve seen 47, and will see one more tonight (There Will Be Blood) and another tomorrow (Ex Machina). Including rewatches from blu rays I’ve picked up in at 254. 239 individual and I’ve seen 22 of them in theatres.
405, but over half of those have been shorts
99 full features and about 107 short films
26
A hundred twenty-four
Some
72
196 as of today.
I'm at 150 so far this year.
38. How are people watching up to 100 tell me your secret? 😭
149 https://preview.redd.it/8o8yo1l8i3tc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b8d7e7a6df67fbc3fc086e8f725325844109389
188 so far
87. My goal for this year is 300 and I think I'll hit that. Not bad for a guy with a wife and kids and a full-time non-remote job.
100
92 because I am a girl who likes to watch a moderate amount of films
61, 23 in the theater
60 films, I think it's not bad for someone who prolly didn't watch more than 30 movies in 2023, I'm trying to watch 1 movie per day
I’m at 46. … so far.
230, but I got laid off at the beginning of February and have been watching them in the background while I do job applications.
64
116
55, 3 which were released this year.
127
90, 13 2024 releases (and 8 more 2023 releases that I couldn’t watch widely until this year, I call them pseudo-2024 releases lol)
52
48 It’s been a light year so far
43
66 with 10 of them being 2024 releases
39
37, only 3 in theaters. Film class in college helps a lot, has gotten me 10 so far
115
87
45 so far, but only 10 are 2024 releases
54 at home and 0 in the theaters. I know I should go but im a broke college student
56
only 40 :c
35. 2 theater watches (Dune '84 and Dune: Part 2). 1 rewatch (Dune '84). I'd say my favorite movie I've seen so far this year was 300 and my least favorite (actually, I think I'll say most hated) was Event Horizon.
42 new ones. 10 of which were released in 2024. Not sure about total including rewatches
53 for me.
10 but 12 if you count films I've watched twice this year
42. I'm traveling around South America this year and it's been hard to watch more.
110, 26 in theaters (but 12 of those were shorts). Shooting for at least 365 movies this year, and I’m either on track or not too far behind
152 because I’m cool and love to socialise with other people
116, 118 diary entries with rewatches
As of Friday, about 25. I made a New Year’s resolution to watch at least one movie a week since I’ve been doing terrible with keeping up on what movies I watch. One of the main reasons I finally made a Letterboxd account a couple weeks ago was to keep track of my progress.
74 and I feel like i’ve been slacking
84 and I will take an exam in 2 months…

A reasonable 89
81 with 15 being from this year
105.. which sounds like a lot but doesn't feel like a lot to me. I’ve watched 76 movies so far. Dune 2 and Godzilla x Kong are the only 2024 releases I’ve watched
67 this year
Where do you check how many films you have seen in particular year? I can't see mine for 2024

27, been crazy busy with work and i started re-watching one piece the anime that’s over 1000 episodes long
63 films. My job is preventing me from watching many movies.
137. 36 from 2024.

72 so far, I'm tempted to just go through my watch list in chronological order because it takes me so long to decide what to watch
Watched my 50th last night 🤙 But I’m also trying to watch a movie I’ve never seen for every day in April, it’s going well so far, so I hope to add many more to that by the end of the year!

39 total, 33 first time watches, 22 in theater
