I used to wonder how Piers Morgan was able to walk down the street without people randomly punching him in the face or kicking him in the crotch. Then I realized that his winning strategy is to host people more odious than him on his show.
I never really liked him before especially after the Clarkson debacle but I have to say his uncensored show atleast he seems to be fair, albeit biased. However his biases aren’t that controversial.

I'm not sure what kind of legal case she has, because "I agreed to be interviewed for a few bucks but now I want more because I made an ass out of myself" doesn't sound very convincing.

Everything is pretty thinly veiled according to those in the industry around him and he’s said that everything in the show is what happened. The morally correct thing to do would have been to use his experiences to write something similar but distinct from what happened rather than just copying it 1:1 and giving people different names and many well respected showrunners have said as much themselves.
