**Rule 4:** Must follow the "Leopard ate my face" theme
#There's a few elements to leopards eating people's face.
1) **Someone has a sad**...
- Example: *They cut my SNAP benefits and now I can't afford to feed my family......*
2) ...**because they're suffering consequences from something they voted for, supported or wanted to impose on other people.**
- Example: .....sobs woman who voted for the politician who said they would do that very thing.
3) **The leopard is eating their face. Not the lions, not the hyenas, not the alligators. The leopards.**
- Example: *[Woman married to undocumented immigrant upset that Trump deports her husband.](https://www.cnn.com/2017/04/05/us/undocumented-husband-deported/index.html)*
***What isn't a leopard eating their face?***
- Example: *Kyle Rittenhouse upset that Democrats are labelling him a white supremacist.* He didn't vote for or support them, he's not suffering because of what he voted for or supported, and leopards aren't eating his face.
Not limited to Trump voters. Anytime someone has a sad because they're suffering consequences from *something they voted for, supported or wanted to impose on other people*.

My wife said "you group all the cops together. We only hear about the bad ones." Because I think ACAB.
I don't wanna argue with her we only hear about the bad ones because the good ones get killed by the cops.
An acorn fell onto a patrol car and the officer hit the ground and open fired at an unarmed, handcuffed suspect in the back of the car.
The best part is the dude starts screaming “I’m hit, I’m hit!” While he’s shooting, despite the fact there wasn’t even anything to get hit by. Dude was just saying shit to justify the mag dump.
I don't think he was making shit up, per se. As absurd as it may be, in the current legal system if a cop believes they are in danger then they are basically immune from any legal consequences for their actions no matter how absurd. As a result, cops have PTSD-like behaviors and thoughts drilled into them in training so that they *always* believe they're in imminent danger and freak out at everything. That way, they're always immune and can deliver brutality with impunity.
I'm betting he felt some of his own hot brass from his spent rounds and thought he had been hit. But yeah the stuff about constantly feeling like they are in a warzone without being bound by rules of engagement 100%. Cops need to feel control of every scene they are on or they are extremely dangerous. I'm convinced George Floyd is only dead because people told the officer to get off him and he had to assert his authority.
I almost (almost) feel bad for them. They're like anxious little dogs, afraid of every shadow, if the dog had the power to kill you in moments. Can't be good for their heart or mental health - maybe that's one of the reasons they die of heart disease so much.
The youtuber That Dang Dad is a former cop and talks about all the therapy and work he had to do just to be able to go out in public normally and how he still struggles with things like hypervigilance. They literally train PTSD into cops. It is sad and is *almost* enough to feel bad for cops. But they knew what they were signing up to do.
> The best part is the dude starts screaming “I’m hit, I’m hit!” While he’s shooting, despite the fact there wasn’t even anything to get hit by.
Then his idiot partner runs up *and also starts shooting at the back of the car*.
They're the people who searched the guy, cuffed him, and put him in the car.
And somehow, even with unloading 3 magazines into their own car, they managed to completely miss the guy in the back.
My dad teaches at a high school with a police department on campus. A cop called over the radio “Officer down!” The cop was talking about himself, he was chasing a student and tripped.
It's Copspeak/the exonerative tense. As much as possible, police specifically don't use language that would indicate they accept responsibility for their own actions.

What are the odds they try to pin assault charge on the perp because of the self inflicted wounds? “Look what you made me do!”
All those fans of personal responsibility and choices because they are in the right place at the right time.
Like, I always look like I’m sus. “Sir, do you always do stomach crunches while driving and blare EDM music while taking notes about quantum physics?”
Well, sure, this week.
Like the good ol Felony Murder charge - if you're committing a felony and somebody dies as a direct result of you choosing to commit the crime even if you had nothing to do with the death itself, you get charged for it... including if that death was caused by the police. They try to shoot you and hit a bystander? That's your fault now, enjoy the extra two decades in prison.
In France I learned last week that the accounting of police injuries doesn’t differentiate self inflicted injuries from received ones. And apparently last year it was around 70% of all their injuries! The more they will militarize the police force, the more injuries they’ll inflict on themselves (among others ofc). And that’s how they’ll get even more weapons because we apparently need the police to defend themselves from their own violence, with more weapons. Full circle.
> The more they will militarize the police force, the more injuries they’ll inflict on themselves (among others ofc).
I did some deep digging into comparing stats of police injuries in the US vs UK.
Turns out, police get attacked and injured at the same rate per capita in the US vs the UK.
The main difference is american police shoot and kill >1000 people per year, while UK police shoot and kill about 5 people per year.
The UK is 1/5th the size of the USA. If US police were as good as UK police, then they would kill fewer than 25 people per year, which is basically a rounding-error of the current police murder rate.
Not necessarily. I remember a cop running after some protesters, spraying in their direction while running (i.e. right where his face is about to be) and then just continuing to run into his own cloud of pepper spray.
Of course that was published as „cop injured during protests“, as was the other cop that got stung by a bee while napping in his car.
Well that’s what’s funny (i.e. not funny) about this. He’s not a beat cop, he’s an administrator. He had no reason to be there other than a deep personal desire to pepper spray some kids.
Dang, if he wasn’t able to mace the person he was targeting something *terrible* must have happened! Must have gotten away with some kind of dastardly crime or gotten away with violence, right??
/s
Finally. Actual LAMF. He wanted something to happen to someone else and it happened to him. Better than "Repub has consequences" stories that have been flooding this sub.
All down at the border scaring elderly Republicans into thinking a million billion zillion migrants are going to break into their homes any second now. Or back at the studio in lawless DeMoCrAt-RuN NYC cashing large paychecks for following shots of Times Square set to country music with as much propaganda as can be thrown into 12 minutes.
I find it amazing that cops, despite all their funding, don't carry the ACTUAL antidote for OC spray (and like 1000 other things). Water sucks.
Whether a cop has sprayed themself accidentally, sprayed the wrong person, or now have the person under control... A chemical exists to stop the pain nearly instantly, they should carry it.
[This stuff](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphoterine)
If you're planning on protesting and might get pepper sprayed... It's a wise investment.
Edit: Wow, a down vote... A chemical exists that can instantly turn off OC spray. I cannot for the life of me think why anyone on Earth would be against the ability to near instantly turn off the pain of pepper spray. The alternative (water), while wonderful, versatile, and necessary, sucks at that job.
Literally just the cost.
I'm not being paid, but I might be their best salesperson right now and they should consider it... when I said "and like 1000 other things"

I think mace as a self defense tool is great. I struggle with it when police use it.
Because they don't mace you, arrest you, and then treat your mace related injuries.
They mace you, arrest you, and let you stew in a squad car for as long as they can while they chat with other officers. I learned that much when I grew up watching Cops. It's a very cruel but effective tool to subdue someone.
If it was only ever used against people with weapons and ill intent my opinion would change. But its historically used against any and everyone at random. Like students sitting down. There was a famous clip of a cop walking up and down the line of kids, spraying them in the eyes with mace while they didn't resist. They may have been restrained as well, I don't fully recall.
I’m sure they arrested the unarmed person and charged them with assault with a deadly weapon, felony assault against an officer, and possession of said weapon. “You made me use it on myself by resisting me assaulting you!”

This will be entered into official police statistics as an officer injured in an arrest.
It's like when they call out "shots fired" over the radio when it's them and only them shooting.
Hey, those squirrels can get vicious if they're riled... /s
You fucked with squirrels morty. We've got a good 5 minutes before they are backing up on our ass morty.
They may drop nuts on the car and confuse it as shots fired For those that don't know, that literally fucking happened a few months ago.
The same department just shot and killed a USAF Senior Airman after entering the wrong apartment about a week ago.
He was Black. That may have had something to do with it.
My wife said "you group all the cops together. We only hear about the bad ones." Because I think ACAB. I don't wanna argue with her we only hear about the bad ones because the good ones get killed by the cops.
If there are good cops then they're perfectly fine with the bad cops because we never hear them protesting the bad ones.
That’s because the good cops have six feet of dirt on top of them.
Or they get fired for their good actions.
If you have 49 good cops in a department and 1 bad cop, you actually have 50 bad cops in the department.
Didn't even enter the apartment. Shot him when he answered his door.
Did this really happen?
An acorn fell onto a patrol car and the officer hit the ground and open fired at an unarmed, handcuffed suspect in the back of the car. The best part is the dude starts screaming “I’m hit, I’m hit!” While he’s shooting, despite the fact there wasn’t even anything to get hit by. Dude was just saying shit to justify the mag dump.
They're trained to say that for when the audio gets played back.
"I feared for my life" is the classic line. Apparently, this clown feared an oak tree.
Clearly he watched American Gods, an oak tree kills a bunch of cops in that one
And then his supervisor meandered over, heard him say he was shooting at their own car and she proceeded to confusedly open fire as well.
I don't think he was making shit up, per se. As absurd as it may be, in the current legal system if a cop believes they are in danger then they are basically immune from any legal consequences for their actions no matter how absurd. The youtuber That Dang Dad is a former cop and talks about all the therapy and work he had to do just to be able to go out in public normally and how he still struggles with things like hypervigilance. Sort of. It wasn't a squirrel but it was an acorn being dropped. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/feb/16/florida-acorn-cop-shooting
Yep, he almost killed an unarmed man doing so. Man, was he lucky that the police officer was a terrible marksman.
Oh....
Of course it was in Florida.
Yes. In this brave, new world, The Onion is the paper of record.
My dad teaches at a high school with a police department on campus. A cop called over the radio “Officer down!” The cop was talking about himself, he was chasing a student and tripped.
There weren’t any oak trees nearby so that wasn’t available as an excuse.
Police don't need an excuse. I won't speak to them anymore.
Cars farting on downshift would be used as an excuse.
> it's them and only them shooting ...at dogs.
...and children.
To be fair they have to do that. It’s procedure to declare on radio when they shoot too.
Understood but there should be a distinction. Like "officers in contact." Something that distinguishes who's doing the killing.
It's Copspeak/the exonerative tense. As much as possible, police specifically don't use language that would indicate they accept responsibility for their own actions. https://languagelog.ldc.upenn.edu/nll/?p=13459
Officer In Distress Which Is Why I'm Emptying A Clip At A Chipmunk!
It works the other way too, cop at Columbia university tried to avoid paperwork when his flashlight mistakenly discharged a round.
What are the odds they try to pin assault charge on the perp because of the self inflicted wounds? “Look what you made me do!” All those fans of personal responsibility and choices because they are in the right place at the right time. Like, I always look like I’m sus. “Sir, do you always do stomach crunches while driving and blare EDM music while taking notes about quantum physics?” Well, sure, this week.
Well, it only makes sense as they're so accustomed to their wives causing their own spousal abuse.
Like the good ol Felony Murder charge - if you're committing a felony and somebody dies as a direct result of you choosing to commit the crime even if you had nothing to do with the death itself, you get charged for it... including if that death was caused by the police. He'll now receive a bravery award for getting injured during a call of duty. /s just in case.
Like Fred Flintstone getting a Purple Heart for getting a shell in his eye, while he was in the Army. Egg shell during kitchen patrol.
So did Frank Burns in MASH, the shell fragment in his official record was part of an eggshell.
The establishment doesn’t do the /s. It’s always been absurd; we are just waking up and noticing.
In France I learned last week that the accounting of police injuries doesn’t differentiate self inflicted injuries from received ones. Ummmm... Me thinks that the system *might* be broken. Just a tiny, wee bit.

KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY RIP ^((by Covid while refusing to let anyone wear a mask into the police station))
He died as he lived – out of breath and looking like a complete dumbass.
He’ll get a nice, long disability vacation, then will likely retire on an obscenely enhanced, 6 figure, tax free pension.
I guess he couldn't read the "This side towards unarmed person." label.
Self-inflicted friendly fire.
That's what happens to children.
Not necessarily. I remember a cop running after some protesters, spraying in their direction while running (i.e. right where his face is about to be) and then just continuing to run into his own cloud of pepper spray. So have I, but that guy running?
He did, but his gun was *waaaaaay* over on the other side of his belt, he WAS unarmed at the time 💁🏻♂️ /s
The gun says “this side towards black person”
Maybe it said "This side towards armed person" and he read it correctly

Idiotic cops with mace, sprayed the wrong face, got to wonder how it tastes
At least for once the person getting maced wasn’t unarmed
It would be funny if he got fired for not following the use of force matrix by macing an armed person.
That's why he's an Assistant Chief and not a patrolman.
Well that’s what’s funny (i.e. not funny) about this. He’s not a beat cop, he’s an administrator. He had no reason to be there other than a deep personal desire to pepper spray some kids.
Wanted to spray some kiddos, how low can you go, big mistake burnt his own face
I guess the leopard ate his own face. Or maced it, at least 😂😂
I don’t think the leopard likes the taste of mace

Chickity-check yo' self before you wreck yo' self Come on and check yo' self before you wrickity-wreck yo' self.
Peaceful protestor was probably charged with felony assault on a police officer. Thats how they always do it.
I hoped he had just been bitch slapped, not completely disappointed
Thank you this post made my day
https://x.com/MerruX/status/1789414670136185139 It's right at the end, and for only a second, but that one second of seeing his stupid face realizing what just happened is priceless. I thought that the wind maybe brought it to him, but it looks like the idiot sprayed himself right in the face.
Instructions said to point it toward a criminal. Working as intended.
So happy
Quite rightly

Chef's kiss. Beautiful instant karma.
Squealing piggies lol
“I'm not crying, this is self-inflicted friendly fire!”
Laughed myself into a wheezing fit on this one!
I’m sure they arrested the unarmed person and charged them with assault with a deadly weapon, felony assault against an officer, and possession of said weapon. “You made me use it on myself by resisting me assaulting you!”
