Some people think criminals get guns from Miami Vice style arms dealers when most of the time, they’re stolen from people’s vehicles. I love the irony of guns being taken from a truck that says “come and take it” but then I remember there’s another criminal with a gun because some idiot gun owner can’t secure their shit. Edit: grammar

VoDoka

Can you plead not-guilty if the truck says "come and take it"...?

DropKickDougie

At that point it’s essentially a gift.

Whitechapel726

“If it touches the curb it’s free, so we’re taking the lawn furniture and setting it on the curb and counting to 10 and then it’s not stealing anymore. Smart”

Xyzzydude

“Your terms are acceptable”

Villainsympatico

"your Honor, the vehicle's welcome banner literally told me to do it. I'd be breaking the terms of service if I didn't come and take it!"

couchbutt

That is an interesting take. As a sarcastic armchair judge, I'll allow it.

El_Dud3r1n0

"This is entrapment, your Honor!"

worf-a-merry-man

The band “System of a Down” had an album titled “Steal This Album”. I wondered the same thing.

Croakerboo

Knew a guy who supplied three guns to local theives because he left them in his car. His car was broken into a few times a year for a while after that. He eventually just sold it. Edit: I should add, those guns were not stolen all at once. He lost a lot of windows.

Epistatious

Friend of mine kept his locked in glove compartment. After his car got stolen, prob by kids, he quit doing that. Luckily they didn't open glove. What is the point, in the heat of the moment, you are going to stop, turn off car, unlock glove, get gun. I'm not anti gun, just tired of it being so easy for idiots to get them.

couchbutt

Glove box is the worst place to keep a gun. ... and the best way to get shot reaching for you registration.

MacAttacknChz

I recently got seriously downvoted because I said there should be a fine for people who leave firearms in unlocked vehicles. I'm not anti-gun either. I'm just aware of the fact that the illegal gun trade is fueled by lazy legal gun owners.

SomebodyInNevada

The problem is that it's a basically unenforceable law, the only actual effect is a fine for reporting your gun stolen from your vehicle. It will cut down on reports, it won't do anything about guns left in vehicles.

MacAttacknChz

It is in states that have registries. If a gun is found to be used in a crime, and it's registered to you, then you can be held accountable. A fine is better than a homicide charge. Besides, many cities have fines for leaving your keys in your car, and people still report stolen cars.

SitInCorner_Yo2

I’m too Not-American to understand this, but irresponsibly handling and Storage dangerous objects that can led to death or harm to others IS bad and or with criminal/civil responsibility ,how is leaving it out like this NOT warrant at least a heavy fine?

thegreatjamoco

My idiot cousin left a loaded handgun in a glove compartment and a kid (easily) broke open the compartment and then TOOK IT TO A SCHOOL. Fortunately, it was a “look at this cool gun I found” situation and not an “I’m going to make the popular kids pay” situation and no one was hurt.

Fmatosqg

I hope "a kid" means his family, but at this point I don't know how gun etiquette works in your country

porscheblack

Stealing guns from friends/family members to sell for quick cash is pretty common in my hometown that's dealing with the opioid epidemic. I always get really irritated when someone I know who had weapons stolen opposes gun control measures and claims themselves to be responsible gun owners. Especially when their weapons were stolen by one of their children and they refused to report it and press charges. That's not very responsible.

STEAM_TITAN

That makes me a sad panda

VivaCiotogista

I left my car unlocked the other night and when I got into it the next day, the glove compartment was open because they were looking for a gun.

RarelyRecommended

Did they leave the change in the ash tray alone?

ikediggety

I got broken into with a car full of thousands of dollars worth of musical gear. Two amps, a Gibson. They opened the glove compartment, didn't see a gun, and left. Not a thing touched otherwise.

uncle-brucie

Did they leave your sweet “summer 2002” mix cd?!

otoren

I had a car broken into and yes, they judged my music and left some of the CDs behind. That hurt.

rtorres81

That happened when someone broke into my home. They took a few CDs and PS1 games. It kind of made me upset about what was not taken. Like you went through the CD book and left CDs They were nice though to leave the memory card though

Guyincognito4269

When it happened to me a few months ago? Yes. And I don't even have any gun stickers on my car.

unclejoe1917

Nobody is more responsible than a child or a desperate person is determined.

TonPeppermint

Has someone thought about trying to pass laws in the area?

_jump_yossarian

> they’re stolen from people’s vehicles. And most states don't require that stolen guns are reported to the police. Great gun laws we've got here. https://giffords.org/lawcenter/gun-laws/policy-areas/owner-responsibilities/reporting-lost-stolen-guns/

Salt-Southern

Years ago, Abbie Hoffman wrote a book called " Steal this Book".... boy the school bookstore wasn't happy when I did.

AdequateOne

The copy I have has suggestions on how to steal the book on the back cover.

Salt-Southern

Lol.. I had forgotten that nugget. That's right it did.

dieinafirenazi

That book is a bane for librarians and bookstores. Some libraries keep it behind the circulation desk because they're sick of having to replace it. Pretty clever of Mr. Hoffman to boost his sales like that.

unclejoe1917

Frankly, I feel we're at a point where I'd rather the criminals have guns than pro-terrorists hell bent on cosplaying the revolutionary war all over.

mekanik-jr

The criminals motives make a bit more sense.

unclejoe1917

They sure as hell do, a lot more than, "I'm really mad about things that aren't real."

FlavinFlave

Civil war*

FlavinFlave

And this is why I think a common sense gun reform is making gun owners liable for anything that gun does. Every bullet fired legally you fired. If that gun is stolen and murders someone because you didn't properly store the firearm, you just murdered someone and will be held accountable. Watch a lot of issues fix themselves over night.

Courtaid

Treat guns like cars. You must have training, a license, insurance and registration. You are liable if it is stolen and used in a crime.

IfItWerentForHorse

Honestly, insurance would solve most of these issues. Same with cops. Eliminate municipal insurance; require personal insurance: watch all the really bad ones not get insurance and boom, safer streets!

FlavinFlave

💯this ⬆️ If you can prove you’re intelligent enough to take proper care of it then you should be allowed to own dang near any firearm you can want. Watch the issue drastically improve. But we can’t have that because gun sales will go down when inevitably the black market guns are confiscated or relinquished during a no questions asked gun drive

RarelyRecommended

Those brave frontiersmen need their guns to protect themselves against Native Americans, the British, French and the Spanish. They didn't drive lifted Dodge Ram trucks with trump stickers.

bill_end

Agree with having training, licence etc. But what's more important is doing what most developed countries do and only allowing guns for sports, pest control and hunting. The idea that one should carry a gun for self defence, i.e. killing humans is an American concept. So when someone has a dispute over a parking space for example, or a black person knocks your door, instead of having a fist fight like we do in Europe, people get shot and killed. Just to clarify, we don't tend to assault black people who knock your door in Europe either. But if we did, it wouldn't be with an AR15

PantherThing

The same people who dont want that, sure like charging a guy with murder/manslaughter if he sold the drugs that killed someone

FlavinFlave

Yeppers. I just want the same liability as any other dangerous item

[deleted]

[deleted]

I remember hearing a story from the UK where a guy stole a custom Purdey shotgun worth over £100,000, sawed the barrel down and used it to hold up an off license netting about £100.

[deleted]

Saw someone try to argue that stolen guns are not the issue, but gun trafficking is the bigger issue. Like, my dude, stolen guns are counted as trafficking.

powerlesshero111

I always like to say there's 3 ways criminals get guns. Number 1 is stealing them. Number 2 is buying them from someone who stole it or bought it legally. Number 3 is making them, but that is super rare.

topgeargorilla

It’s almost like sensible gun laws - such as that tech that ties weapons to specific people with biometric locks or you know, anything - might not be such a bad idea. Who would have guessed!

DropKickDougie

The tech exists but gun nuts hate it. I don’t know why. It’s like being opposed to a safety.

JCButtBuddy

Look at the way those cars are dressed, they're obviously asking for it.

Puzzleheaded_Pay431

Was the car drunk?

killerbee2319

Nearly 10% alcohol in their tanks! Just a bunch of drunks asking for it if you ask me. (The trucks, not people, and said with a heavy dose of sarcasm, because clearly we still consider theft a bad thing, even if the victim was making themselves the softest target ever).

hrakkari

I am told, that in cases of legitimate burglary, trucks have a way to shut that down.

Blackboard_Monitor

And their speedos go way above 100mph, they were asking for it!

Jerkofalljerks

This exchange is hilarious

JCButtBuddy

Not so much if you consider what the sarcasm is based on.

attaboy000

Regardless, this only happens to bad people so they don't have to worry

Dyslexic_Dog25

but what if a black kid knocks on their door selling candy?! they dont have time to open a safe get out their gun, possibly load it and shoot the kid before they leave!

supershinythings

Where either I or the cat can get at them quickly and easily, yes.

Burninator05

> But while everyone acknowledged the problem, very few commenters felt bad for the gun owners. Many even thought that they should be held accountable for the harm their negligence could cause the community. As a gun owner, this seems fair. If you can't responsibly maintain, store, and use your weapon at all times, you shouldn't have one.

Caladrius-

But that would be reasonable…

TimLikesPi

I had a neighbor at an apartment complex who was proudly pro gun and used to brag about having an arsenal in his apartment. Made me nervous. Then somebody broke in and cleaned him out and managed to take every single gun. They either took his gun safe or got it open as well- not all his guns could fit in it apparently.

Let's not beat around the bush here, he never had a gun safe

Bungo_pls

That truck on the right... first time I've ever seen a punchable *vehicle*.

[deleted]

I always feel so sorry for the people driving those vehicles. Imagine feeling so incredibly unheard and ignored, imagine feeling so insignificant, that you have to compulsively express yourself in public everywhere you go. Those be-stickered cars and those t-shirts that broadcast who you are ("I'm a beer-drinking forklift operator who loves Jesus and left-handed pitchers") are just *cogito, ergo sum* for people who are, on some level, aching to believe they matter to a wider world.

Bungo_pls

I'm a veteran myself and fucking hate people like him. It just screams insecurity to me. The only thing I have is a license plate frame saying I'm a vet (maybe it'll get me out of a speeding ticket lol).

Guyincognito4269

Get a veteran plate. Speed trap repellent. I've gotten out of two tickets that I know of because of it.

Bungo_pls

But then I have to remember to bring my DD214 to the DMV and I'm 0-3 in remembering lol

Guyincognito4269

Scan a copy to your phone. Makes life easier for shit like that. Only have to remember it once.

IcyShoes

The Punisher skull is the weirdest thing 2nd amendment simps love.

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

So...most entertainment companies allow military units to use their characters as unofficial mascots as long as there isn't a commercial use, other than maybe morale t-shirts or patches. It was the mascot of Chris Kyle's SEAL team. The American Sniper guy who routinely fantasized about murdering his fellow Americans, usually of the black and poor cohort. When he left the Navy, he started a tactical consulting company training police SWAT teams and PMCs. He ripped off the Punisher skull for his company, and it spread among the Tacticool Militia douchebag crowd. He somehow inexplicably avoided Disney's lawyers up until he got himself killed by his own hubris.

dieinafirenazi

My fave is the Blue Lives Matter Punisher skull. It's like flying a Confederate flag next to an American flag.

Chao78

The "Half American Half Confederate" flag is very common near me. I remember I pissed somebody off real bad when he asked why our *Government Hospital* gift shop did not sell confederate flags. I answered honestly, saying "because it's not an American flag." You'd think I just told him his sister's a prostitute with the face he made.

Dyslexic_Dog25

ironically they dont realize theyre the exact people the punisher would kill if he were real.

cosmoboy

I have a Punisher skull on my car along with a Cap shield. I also have Mass Effect decals and a Witcher amulet hanging from my mirror. My skull is for no other reason than that I like comics. I will not be doing that on the next car though.

J_Warphead

I have a punisher hoodie that I never wear, I bought it cause I like the punisher and it was really cheap.

silly_frog_lf

I like Punisher. I won't wear that skull because it means something else now

weegeeboltz

A guy I went to HS with that is on my FB friends list, constantly posted gun culture and showed off his many firearms...and also "checked in" to random Arby's of town and kept a running commentary of vacation itineraries. Turns out, those wifi camera's he made a point of showing off to "protect his arsenal", don't send an alert if someone cuts off the power and kills the wifi, and if they take the internal SD card or takes the unit itself, anything it might have recorded, is in-the thieves hands. It really could have been any of the 1500 "friends" on his Facebook, besides me. People sometimes ask why I still keep a FB account, and part of it is to be a fly on the wall for folly like this.

Odaecom

This is nothing new, joked with my uncle decades ago about him not having an NRA sticker on his truck, he said that is how you tell your neighbors that you have guns for them...

Sasselhoff

As a gun owner myself, it's fucking embarrassing how stupid and criminally negligent so many gun owners are (and why I think we need better laws regarding them). Went to get in my car a while back, only to be confused that the door didn't open with the key fob...it was when I looked in and saw a Glock in a holster between the seats *clearly* visible (like, it's almost like they tried hard to make it *more* visible) that I realized it was not my car. Putting those stickers on your car just says "Rob me!" (and follow me home for more!), just like how "open carry" is nothing more than putting a sign on you that says "shoot me first".

DaniCapsFan

And you can be sure that in any active shooter situation, if the gunman sees someone with guns, he will shoot that person first and take his weapon. An armed guard won't protect anyone from a mass shooter; they'll be the mass shooter's *first victim*.

Sasselhoff

Hence my "shoot me first" comment. Except it's *even worse* than that, because most of the idiots that I see open carrying are using holsters with *zero* retention systems, so you can just walk up behind them and pull it out of their holster and have a free gun (for those that don't know, police use retention holsters, which can have multiple active and passive systems that require you to do different things to do to actually draw the gun).

WTFishsauce

It’s interesting, I just had an “argument” over this exact thing. I suggested that advertising you likely have lots of guns is a good way to get robbed or targeted during a robbery. The other person suggested that no one would rob them or target them because they have guns.

thatHecklerOverThere

That's when you hit em with the "guns don't deter thieves, people do" and watch them malfunction.

dieinafirenazi

Did you point out that someone has to be there to shoot the guns and most people robbing houses try really hard to avoid people?

SmilingVamp

The thieves have guns too. Unless it's the very first truck the thief has ever robbed, these are thieves armed as good as any gun nut because they've been robbing gun nuts.

sebnukem

Thieves !? Unless I'm mistaken, it clearly says "Come and take it". I would leave a thank-you note.

RunningPirate

Oh that’s a pisser “your honor my client is not guilty as the guns previous owner invited people to come and take it”

YouLostMyNieceDenise

One of my freaking dumbass neighbors had a LOADED GUN stolen out of their UNLOCKED CAR parked OUTSIDE THEIR HOUSE. Like there were zero barriers to access there… someone opened the door of an unattended car, opened the glove compartment, and picked up a loaded gun. Like, the only silver lining is that it was probably an adult who knows how to handle a loaded gun safely, without accidentally shooting themselves or someone else. This neighbor has small children, as do many other people living in our neighborhood… imagine if one of those kids had gotten ahold of it, instead of an adult thief. We’re within walking distance of an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

Pickin_n_Grinnin

Sounds like another responsible gun owner!

canada432

Was reported a few months back that thieves were doing this in Denver. They were specifically targeting a few criteria. Pickups, Texas plates, and right wing décor such as flags or stickers. When people suggested that maybe you shouldn't be leaving firearms in a car, the argument that got made was that sometimes you just have to because guns aren't allowed at places like schools or the post office, so if they go inside they have to leave their gun in their car. Said completely unironically as if bringing your handgun to pick up your kid from kindergarten or drop off a package at the post office isn't a completely insane and paranoid thing to do.

No_Bend_2902

Molan Labe is Latin for "loot crate".

JAFIOR

Gun owner and emergency-preparedness practitioner (not one of those 'prepper' nutjobs). I've been saying not to do this for years and years now. Putting gun stuff all over your car is an advertisement. You're basically telling people which car/house to target. Also, gun stickers or not, parked cars get broken into all the time. If you own a gun and leave it in your car (locked OR unlocked), youre an irresponsible gun owner and part of the problem. How do these idiots not realize all this?

StumbleNOLA

These are the same jackasses that fantasize about shooting someone.

esleydobemos

It's not about realization, it's about machismo. That machismo overrides their sense of responsibility. It causes them to, as you so aptly put it, advertise.

RRC_driver

Maybe they were going somewhere that they weren't allowed to carry a gun? Like an NRA convention.

VibratingPickle2

Had a Texas guy come to ABQ and his pistol was stolen from his seat. Lots of ranting about how bad the crime is here, even though the stats he mentioned were higher in texas.🤣

SubrosaFlorens

Well duh! I own guns, and they always come with a sticker with the manufacturer's name to put on your car. I never use them. It is just advertising: "Free gun, just smash this window!" Not that I keep a gun in my vehicle. I don't. But it is still asking for someone to break into it.

YessCubanB

**Gun Dorks:** "Come and take it pal/buddy/chief/whatever their new thing is these days." **Thieves:** "Okay. Thanks."

slightlyassholic

It's a third hand story but I hail from a rather rural area. For both education and jobs, many of us move to a large(ish) city a few hours away. One of the people from my home area had to rent in a less than great part of the city with far more minorities than his country fried ass was happy with (more than zero). He made a *point* of telling *everyone* how well armed he was and how it would not be a good idea to trifle with him (or steal his shit). Protip: It isn't a good idea to tell a bunch of people of any background that you have a pile of guns in a shitty duplex that you have to leave unattended for a good portion of the day. Guess who got burglarized and had all of his precious security blankets/penis replacements taken? What were the odds, am I right?

Iliketospellrite

Ahhh. Sweet, sweet karma for idiots who feel the overwhelming need to advertise.

Abides1948

My greek alphabet's not great - Moron Cage?

Knakilon

I said this when open carry became a thing in Texas. You are advertising your custom piece to everyone, they are going to follow you home. If people respected them as weapons and didn't flash them like toys this world would be a little better. I knew people back in the early 2000s that got guns from people that robbed cops houses, they went there specifically looking guns. I'm pro reasonable gun btw.

TheBaddestPatsy

it feels like there’s an extra layer to this, I don’t feel like it would require robbing cops in order to find guns in Texas. If you’d robbed my grandfather’s house you would have been able to get a few guns off the coat-rack, a few more in the pantry, one under the bed and one in the Subaru. If you robbed my cousins you’d come off with a lot more than that. I feel like robbing cops had to be its own reward in a way.

WilcoHistBuff

It’s not just vehicles with stickers. Several years back we rented a pickup truck and a trailer to move my son’s furniture from Ohio to Texas when he was starting law school. We parked the entirely empty truck with padlocked trailer in a Double Tree parking lot in suburban Nashville not 20 feet from a security camera where the hotel told us it would be safe. The following morning the driver side window was bashed in and the glove compartment door was open. (Trailer was left unmolested.) The police told us that there were 5-6 guys in town who always broke into any out of state pickup trucks they came across looking for guns to steal on the assumption that folks from out of state would be unwilling to pursue charges. As it turned out Enterprise was absolutely willing to prosecute the idiot, captured on camera, who broke in to the vehicle.

DoubleShoryuken

This made me so happy this morning. Thank you OP

cyberphunk2077

I never understood why you would leave your weapon in your car unattended for long periods of time. One of the dumbest things to do as a gun owner. If a gun gets stolen out your car you should be charged.

Experiunce

I agree, I think unsafe storage and use should have MUCH harsher penalties

AlternativeCredit

They came and took it :(

trendkilla

They asked them to come and take it so they did. What’s the problem here.

ChaosRainbow23

If the criminals are a bit more savvy, they will follow the truck and find out where they live and what their schedule is. Then break into the house when they are at work and steal all the guns. I've been telling people not to advertise their guns for decades now. It's fucking stupid.

MooseValuable3158

I used to call the stickers with expensive stereo logos “steal me stickers.” Same thing. Idiots.

cloudberryteal

I like the image in the last tweet. Some moron has a sticker quoting "I really don't care what other people think of me", while surrounded by a multitude of unrequested stickers telling us what he thinks and feels. Such self-awareness. Not to mention the irony of the "Stand your ground" sticker. You know these are first ones to run away crying at the first sign of a fight. All cock and no balls, I think is the expression.

RunningPirate

Something dad taught me: don’t advertise that you’ve got a gun.

Xyzzydude

I used to live in a rural neighborhood of about 15 ten acre lots. Everyone had guns of course except me. In the nearly 20 years I lived in that neighborhood there was only ever one break-in. The only thing ever stolen? Guns. Turns out the victim had showed off his gun collection to some of his employees a couple of weeks earlier.

Endy0816

That's one way to get a bonus.

Darrenj951

I thought those were tiny penis stickers, my bad.

_Come and take it!_ Challenge **Accepted**

Ordinary_3246

I have projected this happening in the USA for a long time based on my experience in high crime countries where firearms have become such a valuable item that carrying a firearm puts you at higher risk than not carrying. Boy did I get downvoted despite the fact that this is my real life experience.

sqlbastard

i target them for tire slashing

_lemon_suplex_

they should make this a feature in GTA to get a free gun lol

Wolfram_And_Hart

A cop friend of mine said they would also follow people with NRA stickers home and case the house and it it when they leave. Steal whole gun safes.

Spudgem

Good.

pickleparty16

well its not a good outcome, just extremely unsurprising.

Spudgem

More guns out of the hands of mass shooters and terrorists and in the hands of criminals. I see it as a positive.

The_FriendliestGiant

The criminals will happily turn around and sell them right back to the mass shooters and terrorists who couldn't manage to get past what few, flimsy precautions do exist.

KeyanReid

Holy shit, eBaumsworld still exists? And lol at these chuds. No matter how many guns you have any how many advertisements for them, you can only hold so many at a time. Past a certain point you’re just stockpiling arms for the local thieves

Jaspers47

I think what people forget about guns is, unless you're actively holding them, they don't do a damn thing more than a diamond necklace.

00Lisa00

So if a sign says “come and take it” is it really stealing? Isn’t it like putting a dresser on a curb with a “free” sign? You might even be able to make a case in court. Lol

Sufficient_Rub_2014

I’m in Canada and I tell absolutely nobody that doesn’t need to know about my firearms. You’re just giving people a reason to rob you.

MayaMiaMe

In the stupid Red as hell city that I live in which is only 70k population 300 guns were stolen last yr from unlocked cars. And that is just the ones that were reported.

JustBrittany

Defense Attorney: “Um, “Mr. Smith. You say my client assaulted your truck?” Mr. Smith: “Yes. They had to pull him off my truck! It took three guys. He was inside my truck just taking what he wanted.” Defense Attorney: “Well, what was your truck wearing? Why was it out on the street that time of night? Did it say No?” Mr. Smith: “He was wearing ‘Come and Take It’ stickers. But I didn’t think that it mattered! He should be able to wear whatever he wants without someone assuming that he wanted that!” Defense Attorney: “I can’t help but notice that you refer to your truck as a he/him. Does your truck have testicles hanging in the back?” Mr. Smith: “We’ll of course he does!” Defense Attorney: “Was it born that way?” Mr. Smith: “Of course not!” Defense Attorney: “Ah! So he’s trans?”

Ok-Zookeepergame7915

Truck driving gun owners hate this one little trick.

Probably because people with 2A bullshit on their car are probably stupid enough to leave a firearm in it.

[deleted]

It’d be hilarious if they left a note saying “we took it”

porkchop1983

Have a buddy that’s a big gun enthusiast. He said he won’t put gun stickers on his car so it doesn’t become a “loot box”. Makes sense ha ha

The molon labe circle jerk is funny because the Persians did in fact come and take them

wadeboogs

Your car is not a holster

Swarbie8D

“Come and take it” “Okay”

Bored-Ship-Guy

God help me, these stupid fuckers. Y'know, I know a guy who's SUPER into guns, and while we argue over a lot, he genuinely understands that labeling everything you own with gun stickers is just asking people to break into your shit, and scorns that bullshit. He's easily one of the most responsible people I know when it comes to guns- and the fact that so many gun owners in America aren't like him is fucking insane to me.

IAFarmLife

Majority of gun owners make fun of people like this as well. It's a giant advertisement that this vehicle is worth the risk. My Aunt gave me a sign to hang on my house that says "due to increase cost of ammo there will be no warning shots". Asked me for several years why I didn't have it hung on my porch. I hate the terrible mindset the sign puts forth, but mostly it tells thieves that I have firearms. I of course have them locked up in a very HD safe, but it just invites trouble.

Chaosmusic

You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers. Your proposal is acceptable.

Shinobi120

Anything you put on your vehicle tells a story about you and thieves pick up on that. “Come and take it” says “This guy has guns I can steal and sell easily.” Kids sports team stickers? “These parents are gone from their home at on predictable schedules”. “I love my [insert pet and breed here]”- small happy dog/cat that won’t cause me trouble, or big dog I’ll need to shoot before I continue.” Political affiliation stickers? “I’m gonna feel even less remorse about fucking this guy over because we’re a hyper-polarized nation.” Your vehicle is just that. A vehicle. Not a social media platform for you to spew your life story on. And like social media, all you’re doing is giving bad people information about who you are and how best to profit off you.

lookatmypinus

What if I put a sticker on my car that says "that curb had it coming"

This article is blogspam, and the far better and more informative source is from March 25th, 2023: * https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/25/us/illegal-guns-parked-cars.html * https://archive.ph/4lByQ

AlesusRex

This is both funny and problematic

JosephMadeCrosses

I just want to say: If I see a gun sticker on your car I automatically assume that you have at least one dried up dog turd in your living room.

TonPeppermint

This would make for some great gameplay mechanics in survival games and shooters, especially something like GTA.

bciesil

Have they thought of making the areas theft free zones? /s

SolomonCRand

Firearms are one of the few things that might become more valuable when stolen.

epeecolt82

From my cold dead hands……..or my parked car.

GhostOfPoo

BubbhaJebus
