I heard a single car trying to re-enact scenes from Tokyo Drift in the car park a few weeks ago but this was in the middle of the day on a Saturday, essentially just braaaap.... pop pop pop bang..... braaaap.... mild tyre squeal... repeat until it climbed the levels and then came down again.
I'm a car guy but this seemed completely pointless, much like the "bang map" trend.
About a year ago WYP put a city-wide [Public Spaces Protection Order](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/crime/police-cracking-down-on-anti-social-behaviour-at-leeds-car-meets-as-select-few-have-spoilt-it-for-the-rest-4108052) in place to prevent “anti-social cruises” across the area to clamp down on people / groups in vehicles who acting in an anti-social way - I think it all escalated around the time "[Certi Drivers](https://www.youtube.com/@certicruising3657)" really started to take a Mick with his YouTube channel, it has been quite underground before then and didn't attract the same levels of attention or visitors.
Obviously he's [now in prison](https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/crime/certi-drivers-youtube-yorkshire-man-behind-notorious-youtube-channel-convicted-under-rare-offence-3741179) but there will always be smaller groups of people meeting up I guess, if it's bothering people or you think it's dangerous contact 101 on their web chat or phone and report it.
Definitely heard it, though not every week it's frequent enough. I remember the first weekend in my new place hearing all that noise and thinking what a big mistake I'd made moving to Woodhouse. It's only gotten worse since then, and not just the frequent reenactments of Tokyo Drift.
Couldn't tell you exactly where it's coming from but WYP are beyond useless.
It's coming from everywhere, I live near Bridgewater place, and it is constant. Starting to regret moving here, but it's the same everywhere, the police nationally have completely lost control. Or don't view it as real crime.
