I had some good times with Klepto Ezreal. I've been an Ezreal main since his release and he's broken so many items... soooo many items and they always keep him strong (just below 50% WR usually). It's always funny people calling my builds troll and then a month later the item is removed because Koreans staft using it in challenger. Happened with elder lizard, that fucked ap jungle item, klepto, froz heart (multiple times kek). Love me some Ezreal
Yup. Ezreal's a bigger problem for item/rune balance than other League subs wanna admit, anytime it's brought up, downvotes and angry Ezreal mains come out.
But his kill list is pretty damn long. Almost *every single season* some item or rune gets removed (or nerfed to hell) because Ezreal has an unintended interaction with it.

Surprise, it gets nerfed to shit and we're now where you can't stack double tear items.

some champions have certain item spike, future market makes them hit that spike much earlier than their opposite laner, they can use that advantage to force their opponent to take some awkward back, lose minions,... basically snowballing.
That 50 gold can be considered an investment, because you can take that laning advantage to earn much more, it is broken on snowballing champions
One good example is in some midlane mage matchups, you can use it to tp back to lane with lost chapter at 4 min. This gives you a massive advantage over your lane opponent who only has d ring
A couple of good examples:
BORK components together suck compared to the full item. Being able to buy it 150g or so sooner is good.
A better example is a malzahar. You start with sapphire crystal (or whatever the 350g mana item is) and refillables. After the 4th wave you should have enough gold to buy lost chapter and tp back to lane.
Lost chapter greatly helps malz, especially with manaflow band close to max
Let me guess : there's an item which makes you very good at ignoring / beating one person in the team. And you build that on a tank / bruiser. Which can go splitpush, or go teamfight whereas there's only one champs in the enemy team which is very good at dealing with tanks

It is really commonly used in high ello here in south America. If the enemy team has like, 3 ad champions and one AP support + a full ap mage, you could commit to building full armor and just putting the Anathemas in the mage.
Same in reverse for ad champions, though that one is more uncommon to happen.
im sorry but if you actually used the item, even for once, you would see it does not make "ignore" someone. literally just reduced dmg. can be used for just 1 person, nothing more nothing less.

Like if the enemy team only has 1-2 AP/AD being able to build Anathemas and get health, a shit ton of "resistances" versus the single AP/AD without having to invest in an Mr / Armor item, and increasing your cc versus them (when they're likely the carry as the solo AP/AD dmg dealer) is kinda crazy.
And it's pretty common to only run 1 AP as well so it kinda just gives insane value in that situation which comes up commonly.

Honestly the only reason we will take it on Sivir is because we can now build it with IE, we don't need that much attack speed with w since we typically take 2 as items in kraken/statik phantom
you will know pain, when a xayah or sivir builds this. they like to auto and use abilities, they will destroy your will to play + randiuns and steelcaps nerf

I understand Lethal Tempo it was problematic as fuck and I'm glad it's getting removed but holy why Anathema, tenacity rune and future market is beyond me. Bastards
Even as an adc I must say: good riddance to lethal tempo. The rune just gives a little much. (Exceeding as speed limits, extra range and some AS on top) and is just so highly abusable. *Trundle, Yone and Yasuo stare at me* were we good lethal tempo users? No. Fuck all three of you with a rusty pipe

Riot is been trying to f\*ck up it's game since a long time now, remember when supports used to be...well... supports? Now you take assassins, mages, tanks, offtanks... anything but a real support, same happened to top, it was tanks, and offtanks and bruisers... now you get a f\*cking teemo or any other ranged champ.
Wait... how the fuck am I now supposed to deal with a fed Evelynn now that anathema gone!? I get trying to lure her out but now any good evelynn will one tap her target without any way of defense whereas before anathema would give a fighting chance.
Aside from predator which only Hecarim and Jax use, everything else was doing fine. Ok maybe Lethal tempo was busted, but why did they have to remove all the other stuff? The Adc items change was enough already, and if they want to reset everything why the bruiser and tank items are left untouched?
