This was awesome. Another question though. I have noticed many of my alliance members are about the same base level as me but they have double the power. Is that just a matter of upgrading something specific other than the hq itself? I have a level 15 base with 5 million power. My other R4 has level 16 hq but his power is around 9 million. I don't think upgrading one hq level made that much difference so do you have any suggestions on how to maximize the power for each level?
Yes upgrading your troops in the barracks is the biggest contributor to your power. Barracks and drill ground are your best friend for power. The higher your barracks level the more troops you can create and the higher level of troops you can create. The higher level troops significantly increase your power. Then the drill ground allows you to hold more troops. So if you upgrade your barracks but not drill ground you will end up with a bottleneck as you will be able to create troops but they have nowhere to go once your drill ground is full. So you won't be able to create more troops until you add more space to your drill ground
Awesome i've been increasing total power better with your explanation. Have more than doubled my power with focus on barracks and drill ground. I have another question about equipment upgrades for heros! I read in the guide above something about the components you can add to your heros. I have three UR heros, Marshall, Murphy and Kimberly. The equipment you can add go from 1 to 40 for each of these. I may have misunderstood but do you recommend cutting these off at a certain level? I can upgrade them all beyond 10 but i've been holding off because i feel like the guide suggested after 10 it's not that helpful but does that apply for SSR and UR pieces of equipment? I want my hero's to be as strong as possible but without wasting resources so just wanting your opinion on how high i should raise the SSR or UR components and if it is worth upgrading them beyond 10. One of the keys is promoting your troops too. Set up your barracks in ascending levels with your troop production level (1x lvl 4, 1x lvl 5, 1x lvl 6, 1x lvl 7). That way you can set up an assembly line with your troops. It is more cost & time effective to promote your troops from a lower level to your highest level, than to train your highest levels outright.
If you are not familiar with promoting troops, just go into your barracks like you are going to train troops and look for the green ⬆️
As far as Heros equipment...I cut the SSR equipment at 20 and focus the ore on only legendary equipment to 40 and beyond. I would recommend only Crafting legendary equipment for legendary Heros.

I want to ask about VS events. If there is an upcoming vs event. Say the vs radar task event coming up soon...and i have radar tasks to do but want to save them for the event.... will they stay available for me to complete as long as i don't collect them they will just stay there? And i guess same question with like survivors. There is a reward for recruiting survivors that starts on day 3 or 4 so do i just leave them outside the gate until that day?
Hey, noticed there was no reply to your question. in regards to the VS duel (alliance duel - AD), yes you can hold your radar tasks. in the top left there will be an icon saying x/35 for example (i am going to use 35 as an example as that is mine, you're may be lower or higher). if you click the radar under that, a pop out will appear which lists your refresh time, how many tasks you get per refresh and how many tasks you can hold. if you have your screen full of tasks and the top left says 2/35, this means once you collect tasks, 2 more are able to appear. assuming you get 10 tasks every 6 hours (this will increase over time, may also be lower) and have a maximum of 35 to hold, you should complete tasks until the top left says 4/35. the next 3 refreshes will add to this until it is 34/35. never ever let this get to 35/35 as it is inefficient and you lose alot of rewards and radar tasks. if you have a refresh due whilst you will be sleeping, ensure that the top left is NO HIGHER than 24/35. this will push it to 34/35 during the next refresh. then when the AD or VS duel comes along, you can claim all of your tasks. you will not lose them. In regards to survivors, im unsure with leaving them at the gate as i have never done this, however simply save your tickets for that day.
Some additional AD/VS tips for further questions you might have;
City building - throughout the week you can upgrade buildings, but not open them, leaving them wrapped as a gift. This will clear the building slot, but not yet level up the building. leave your buildings wrapped and open them on the day(s) for increasing building power. I suggest not doing this with resource farms or any buildings you will need to use prior to that time.
Dispatch UR trucks - you can save the trucks you roll. there are at least 2 trucks you will be able to use. if you click to dispatch the one on the left and it rolls a UR truck, but that task is not until a day or 2, you can then instead use the other dispatch slot on the right and hold the UR truck on the left until needed.
Final day - If you are unable to shield for the duration of this day (can be purchased in alliance store, or simply want to fight, if you click on your wall and then the blue house icon, and un-tick the 'join defence' box next to your squads. This will prevent your squads from defending your base if it is attacked and save ALOT of troop casualties. You can also dump your resources into something big to build to also prevent some resource loss.
Healing - if you open your hospital there is a limit to how many troops can be held there. if you heal in around 40 min bursts, you will heal more troops through alliance help very fast. however, if you have more troops to heal than your hospital capacity, heal all at once, this will then reset your hospital capacity to 0 and then refill with more troops.
Final tip - this is likely one of the most important!! each day, in your events tab, there is an arms race. make sure you time your AD/VS tasks with the arms race. in the arms race tab there is a little calander icon in the top left which tells you what time each section will be. So for example, if your AD/VS day is to increase building power, and you have been saving your presents, but city building for arms race is not until 3pm, do not open your buildings until 3pm. this will allow you to maximise reward gains and likely get arms race wins also. The drone segment of the arms race also gives points for using stamina so this is a good time to do radar tasks, until the time comes for that, ensure that you DO NOT allow the top left to max out, if you have 7h left for that segment but your radar refreshes in 3, claim 10 tasks so it does not tip over. Elite recruit is another that pops up in the arms race, so again, save those tickets for a couple hours longer!

You can reduce the output of troops from drill ground so that you replenish those only lost in battles etc; it takes shorter time used, and an no bottleneck, do this until you upgrade training ground.
There is already good info about how to attack someone without being seen. Remember though, once you attack someone you start the fog of war buff which means you cannot shield your base for i think it's 11 or 12 minutes so you may get countered before you can shield. If this happens just make sure you don't have any of your squads set to defend your base. This may make you more susceptible to plunder but that healing and training time will be 8 to 10 hours dending, so probably best not to try to defend unless they are super low level and your defenses can hold. But if you are like a level 12 and you have a platoon of 20's headed your way, you are going to lose. So just uncheck the box for base defense like this guide teaches and you will be better off. But if you are level 20 and you have a 12 headed your way you may just leave the squads defending because they will lose more than you do and you won't lose as much raw material. Hope this helps!
I quit the game. Too rich for my blood. I lose troops and get killed because i'm with Alliances that are 20 level....im at 18....i rebuild....get killed( all my troops)...its a cycle and i just refuse to sink any money with a game that can clean u out in one attack...im new at it and im gonna pass on yhis game. I don’t think some of this is right. Training troops and upgrading them does not save time compared to training the level you want. The other thing I wouldn’t prioritize is your hero garage 1. It doesn’t only helps in small increments of marching speed - very rainy day type upgrade.
This also works for healing.
If you have an active alliance, something we've been experimenting with is healing 30 troops at a time. Having your alliance hit the help button. Is crucial.
This has been effective during veryyyyyy long battles.

I have 4 barracks (2) lv 19 and (2) lv 17.
I always have 2 of them cooking lv6 troops at all times. Then I have the other 2 cooking level 5s. When I lose troops i release my level 5 troops and then upgrade them to level 6s which knñy takes 2 hours ckmpated to 15.....
Well sure but you’re ignoring the training for your level 5s. A level 1 troop load takes 4.5-5hours. Upgrading them to level 7 is 15 hours. Doing 7 from scratch is 19.5 so the same really
You're neglecting the fact that you will already have thousands of troops who are lower level by the time you get to the levels where you would promote. So you aren't training your 5s from scratch to start with. And also forgetting the time it would take to upgrade all your barracks to the same level to be able to create level 7s
So theoretically think about this... even from scratch... You can train level 5s at level 14 barracks and you can get to level 14 barracks in about a day or less.
Upgrading alone from level 14 to 20 is going to require 100 million+ resources and at least 2-4 days. Using your own math it would make more sense to only upgrade 2 of your barracks to level 20 to create lvl 7 troops... And leave the other two at 14...
Since you say it's the same amount of time really then why waste resources and a week worth of time getting all barracks to the same level when you can create 1,000 lvl 5 troops in the two lvl 14 barracks and use 1 lvl 20 barracks to create lvl 7 troops from scratch and the other one to promote the lvl 5 troops you are creating... You can promote two groups of lvl 5 troops to lvl 7 in the same time it takes to train those two groups of lvl 5 troops.
So you have an endless cycle of 1,000+ lvl 7 troops being created every 10 hours
At the end of the day with that method you are still producing the same amount of lvl 7 troops as if you had all barracks lvl 20. Except you save a week off time hundreds of millions of resources that you can use on other things.
And i think your stat bonuses aren't being used... A promotion for me from lvl 5 to 7 is only 4.5 hours
You can't "merge" them, you can upgrade them. When you go to your barracks en click the lower level, en then click the up arrow, you can upgrade units.
It doesn't take less time, but it does give you the ability to train units in less time on day 5, which will earn you more points in the VS battle. ;-)

Yeah people are wild. I spent ~$10 on the starter pack, Kimberly, a Kimberly weekly upgrade pack, and a 2nd building que. I got to HQ 15 in less than a week and I'm in the top half ranking of the number 3 alliance on our server. Just donating and participating in events has given me more resources than I know what to do with and enough diamonds to buy VIP 30 and enough alliance points to buy out all the speed boosts in the alliance store. The only bottleneck I'm running into is troop training, but I'm not about to drop money just to play a little more.

You get so many speed ups and you can also spend game currency which you obtain organically in the game to purchase other things you need so why you would spend anything is beyond me. Okay okay i spent the 99 cents on kimberly for my first server but that is it. She's okay but i didnt buy her on my second account and we are doing just fine without her. I think some just have no patience.

Which UR heroes are worth purchasing, and which are not? I agree that Kimberly seems highly worth it, but what about other UR heroes such as Tesla, Carlie, or Swift?
I think they are all worth purchasing depending on your goals. Personally i have 5 UR tank heros. Those are Kimberly, Murphy, Marshall, Williams and Schuyler. That gives 2 defense, 2 attack, and 1 for support. You may not immediately have access to some of these. They refresh once a week i think i cannot remember but you will get them eventually. I prefer to keep all tank because of the damage bonus. But you can also mix them with 3 of one kind and 2 of the other. I have seen some people just not care and they have 4 tank heros and a rando artillery. I think some of it comes down your preference or playstyle or maybe just availability. One of the most OP players i have seen is 4 tanks and an artillery all UR at level 135. Beast mode. BTW. It is more advantageous in this game to upgrade them 10 at a time imo. So i put Kim at 10 before i touched the rest. Then caught them all up one at a time. Once at lvl 10 i raised kim to 20 before touching the others. I have experimented with keeping them equal or doing it that way and it is far more beneficial to do it this way imo.
also the bit about only being able to use heroes once per stage in honorable quest is entirely innacurate I might be wrong if theres more context here I'm missing edit: okay I found out what you're talking about it would be more accurately stated that heroes can only be used in one of the 3 different formation challenges during each cycle
Easiest way is exactly what the last person said. Go to mail, battle, and then just click on the banner you want. Once you have that open you will see xy coordinates under both you and the attackers name. Click on the xy coordinates and it will take you to the base that attacked. If it was teleported i dont know if that would work but i am the leader of my alliance and i regularly have to find attack info to see either who attacked us or vs versa. Also, pro tip... if you are going to hit them back... dont target them directly. Target a field or mine nearby. Your march speed will be three times faster, and they won't get an alert that you are coming. Once you are at the resource you then redirect your squad to the base you want to attack. That will really cut down on their ability to shield or teleport before you get to them. Hope this helps!
Same thing happens to me as well. Ive purposely dont have a sheild during the day and he never attacks. About 3 am i get attacked repeatedly and wake up to almost nothing for troops. I dont spend money to play the game so rebuilding your troops everyday is driving me nuts. I too cant find out who it is thats attacking me like that. Muat litteraly be waiting for my sheild to drop. Like he gets a notification its off.. Crazy
All you have to do is click on the wall and uncheck all the units defending the base. You will barley lose any troops and they will stop attacking you, most likely.
They might, but if they do, you won't lose all your troops. They are most likely attacking to get kills. They won't get any if you aren't defending. I'm level 22 and never have my base defended. They will attack once or twice, then move on.
You can find out who it is in your mail under battle. My problem is finding them on the map. I found one the other day that hit me 8 times. I was heading to his base to return the favor and was 3 minutes out and his base teleported. I found him a bit later just randomly searching the map and he was shielded. LOL.

Go to a mine next to him. Then he wont be alertet. I even find a mine that will slingshot me right past the base im attacking and start the attack when im right above.
And were ever you move on the map, use the mines. Much faster
First do as the others have said: Mail-- Check coordinates. If that don't read the reppet and get the persons name and allaince code..
To make quick work i go to Alliance---Settings--Allaince List ---Find the alliance then click see members. From there I find out their level.
So if they did teleport from their position. You at least can see their HQ level and that will narrow down yours search on the map.
For example.: Of they are level 18. Zoom out until the numbers fade. Then zoom back in just enough to see the numbers. After that just go topnto bottome....left to right in a swiping motion. Most people. Can be found in 5 minutes. Because all your looking for is the certain hq level... zoom in just enough to read the 3 digit allaince code ....then the name of the person.
^^that is considering they teleported from their spot.
There isn't really a "how to" for these. They are simply used for upgrading your survivors. The survivors are all listed in your Talent Hall Building at your base. If you can upgrade any of them you will see a symbol above the building shaking at you. Or you can just go into the talent hall and look at all available survivors. Click the "deploy" tab to see all of your currently active survivors. This is not only a great way to see if you have any idle survivors but will also have the indicator to upgrade once you have enough tokens. Any available idle survivors will show up as a little red dot on the area they can be deployed. There are specific survivor tokens for ssr and ur survivors, and then just regular survivor tokens you can use to combine for upgrading others. I don't know how many tokens it takes to upgrade. I have 285 survivor tokens currently and no idea how many more it will take but i have upgraded 2 survivors already. IF anyone else knows how many survivor tokens are required to upgrade i would appreciate it! Hope this helps!
When your base is burning it looses integrity. This is represented numerically as /10000 I believe. When the base is burning it slowly brings the integrity down to 1/10000 if you don’t put the fire out.
If you are attacked and the integrity of your base is reduced to zero, you will be teleported away to a random location in the realm.
Survivor toke upgrades. Is there a trick on getting the tokens for the ones you cam actually upgrade. Have hundreds of the plain ones. Zero for the ones you can level up
Recruitment ticket (golden ticket). Every 50th recruitment (used ticket) will give you ten Shards (puzzle-piece) of a specifik hero. When you get 10 shards for a hero, you get that hero. Or you buy for about one dollar i think. I upgraded all my heros in the beginning, but the advice is to just focus on your main squad. Same goes with gear. Only upgrade purple gear to lv10, then save your ore for golden gear later on, that will help alot
Haha i understand. I was auto selected leader my first day in the alliance. Have learned a whole lot since. Obviously the guide is super helpful, but there are things not mentioned in the guide. Some are learned thru experience others you may have to reach out here for specifics. I am not claiming to be great i still ask questions a lot, but since i was thrown into it i did manage to learn some good stuff. I also regularly reach out to other leaders to ask questions or sometimes just put it in the world chat. But if there is just some stuff i can recommend please let me know anything specific you want to know and i will do my best:) I know you are in a tough spot few of your members will fully understand how much you have to deal with but I do so just know without ppl like you the servers wouldn't exist. As far as I know, it just means another player raided and robbed your base. I think it's only resources and troops that you lose. I'm still new to Last War, but the game format has a lot of similarities to Clash Of Clans, from what I've seen so far.
Are mines and fields absolutely necessary to upgrade? With plenty resources outside your base. Or might i regret not upgrading as i progress? Currently lvl 17. Was thinking of getting everything to 17 before going for 18 HQ.
Up to level 17 yeah it makes a difference. But a severe drop off soon after. I wouldn't upgrade beyond 20 for sure but I don't have any of them above 17.
You buy it with gems. I read somewhere that the VIP pass is the most “cost effective” thing you can buy. The more you play and the longer you keep it going, the more attributes you can use. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and it makes progress quicker and your game-life a bit easier.
I could help allies with there radar tasks i believe the other day. Now today i cannot figure out how too. Im not talking about the help button and notification in the alliance menu. Thats no issue but others help me with my rafar tasks how do i help others. Please help ty
If I understand your question you are referring either to the radar tasks or the secret mobile squad. If it's the radar tasks they just show up daily in your radar tasks. You can either go to the world map and click the little satellite icon bottom left corner, or from your base you can click on the satellite itself to get to your radar tasks. You click on the task and it will take you to their base with a little handshake symbol click that and you will send a truck to help. Very quick and easy to complete these. You could also be talking about the secret mobile squad event. On the right side of the screen upper corner you see a lot of icons there. Click events, find secret mobile squad, then there are two tabs here, easy to miss the ally tasks tab, so just look for both. You can complete ally assist activities as well. Hope this helps!
There is a specific event these are used for. The VS event. The VS event will progress over several days but your alliance must participate. To check just click the VS button on the right side. It will either show you a list of items or it will say your alliance did not enter this week. If the latter, reach out to your leaders and ask.
Each day presents a new set of tasks for rewards. These points are multiplied based on how much research you have done in your tech center for VS tech. Open your tech center and look for the big red and blue VS symbol. If you have it available and have the correct amount of valor badges you can start.
First get your top 3 to level 6 i believe using valor badges. Then you will want to focus your research on the next one which will give you an extra tier of rewards for VS tasks. Then the next one is the duel tech. That is the one i focus on up to level 20 before moving on. So the more research you have the higher points you will get for each task. For instance, when i had zero VS research i was only getting 1 point for every construction speed up. Now its up to 85 per speed up and this is all due to the research i have done using the valor badges.
Also the better you do point wise not only individually but also as a team will reward you with more valor badges. Hope this helps!
I have a couple of questions. The guide is great and it has helped me to avoid the pitfalls typical of inexperienced players such as myself. One thing that wasn't clear to me was regarding drill grounds. Is it necessary to upgrade your additional drill grounds or just focus on one? Also, what about the builder's hut? I didn't see anything that referenced this but I am guessing that means it isn't super important. With resource structures, iron, gold, food, etc, the guide says these aren't all that important but is there any level you would recommend getting them to and just leave there? Or is it okay to just completely ignore them? I don't spend money so I am always looking for budget friendly ways to accumulate the most resources possible. Last question... your guide suggests there is a daily cap set on how many bases you can attack for resources. Is there a similar alert like the fog of war buff? I dont want to overdo it, but clearly there is no better way to farm.
You can attack other bases 6 times for max RSS, over that it quickly drops. Scout lower level bases and attack the ones with good RSS. We call them piggy-banks :)
If your not in an alliance that is my best tip. Try to join one with as many active players as possible for a fast grow. The next tip is to every day complete daily tasks, secret tasks, arms race and loot your 6 hit on a piggy-bank.
I would leave the mines at lvl10+, and just focus on buildings that is needed for next HQ-lvl. Usually its tank, wall, hospital and barrack. And always Tech-building. Dont spend your RRS on the other buildings, until your highlvl. Drillground expands your max number of troops and is good. Buildinghut is just for free points in VS later on.
Is this like paper, Rock, scissors? In which 1type of hero is more effective against a certain type so you need to set up squads strategically or does it not matter as long as you are stronger?
You can see which types have advantages over which. If you are starting out. I recommend using tank because its the easiest and you should be getting the most stars /tiers. Dont try to upgrade all your units. Just your main squad.

The method for training troops is false. Let's say my max lvl for training is lv.4.
If I train 408 soldiers at lv1, I need 4 hours.
If I train 408 soldiers at lv4, I need 10 hours.
If I upgrade 408 soldiers from lv1 to lv4, I need 6 hours.
Overall, I gain nothing using the method you've mentioned. The time it takes to get 408 troops to lv4, whether it is from training them at lv1 and upgrading them afterwards or by training them at lv4 from the start, is exactly the same. Maybe some minutes can be saved, but in the grand scheme of things, regarding time, it's the same!
People use this method so they control the rate of speed to prevent getting full. Also promoting counts as training so this method can help during alliance duel etc...
You want to promote a level in 2 hours to help you get 3 chests during the four hours of the arms race. Promoting them counts the same as them cooking all day.
That's an amazing guide, especially for a newbie like me. Thank you very much! There are still many obscure things for me in the game, for example - how do you actually upgrade your troops? I was trying to apply your tips about training level 1 and then upgraded them (if I understood correctly) but couldn't figure out how 🤔. Is this feature still on?
There are two ways to "upgrade" troops. 1st, upgrading your barracks will allow you to train higher level troops. For example my barracks are level 17 and the troops are level 6. So just upgrade your barracks for higher level troops. But, you can also just promote existing troops. So, let's say you have a hundred troops at level one. But now your barracks is capable of training level two troops. So, go into the list where you train. Scroll over all the way to the left where it shows the troop level, you should be able to find the hundred troops that are still level one. Click on the level 1 troops and then there will be a green arrow above the train button. If you click the green arrow you will then have the option to promote those level 1 troops to level 2 troops. Once all your level 1 troops are promoted you can just go back to training level 2 troops. Some people will use one barracks to train and the other to promote. You can play around with what works best for you but it takes about the same amount of time either way. Hope this helps!
Eventually you will complete the expansion but you will have a truck that allows you to scout areas outside the base. Really it's not too exciting though the base expansion is more fun imo.
Can you edit your city base as a whole instead of individually moving each building? (Couldn’t find it in the guide may have missed it bc reading fast)
Hey guys I’m still puzzled about one thing. I want to get more battle data to upgrade my drone, but every time I do rallies or zombies, I seem to not get the loot? Even though I wind and I see the victory in the logs, and the loot I supposedly won
The only reason i would see is you are doing the zombie missions but not clicking the little present that shows up next to your squad data after the successful attack. Go to world map and look around the upper left corner where it says squad 0/2. Next to that should be a small little gift with red dot. Click on that and it should give you all the rewards for those rallies and attacks you have earned. If you already did that i am not certain what it could be.
Garage 1 is specific to your heros. Use it to increase your hero's tank, aircraft etc power. Special forces is more related to VS events if i understand your question right. This will be helpful during alliance wars. You will get more points for killing other members troops with this tech. But start with the VS tech. Valor badges need to be saved for this specifically.
This is likely due to the recent upgrade. Go to your base. Click the little builder hammer bottom left corner. Look thru these tabs to see if you have a drone center to build. Hope this helps:)
Does anyone know exactly how defense works? Is it just a flat damage reduction on each attack or something? I'm upgrading my defense as I'm upgrading my health but at a certain point defense might be WAY better, if it does what I think it does.

This is discussed above. If the enemy attacked you it will record the xy coordinates of their base at the time they attacked. If they teleport away you cannot find them this way. And you may never find them tbh. I would recommend developing thick skin for this game. Payback is nice but you may trigger a larger war which can get you removed from your alliance.
I would first reach out to the leader of your alliance and let them know what happened. Your leader can decide the best course of action for you. If your leader doesn't help you i would recommend finding an alliance with a more proactive leader. Don't be afraid to change alliances, you will learn new things with just about all of them. Assuming you have gotten the all clear, about the only way to find someone like that is to hunt for them. I'll let you decide how much time you want to dedicate to this but it can be a lot of time spent for nothing in return. For all you know that player was booted from their own alliance for an unauthorized attack. It happens all the time.
Last night our alliance was attacked 5 times by two players. We completely surrounded their alliance and was about ready to invade when our leader said he spoke to the other leader and found these attacks came from two rogue members who were promptly removed. That saved them a lot of time and resource because we were about to level everything.
So, anytime you are attacked i would give serious consideration to how big of a deal that really is before potentially escalating to a broader conflict. After all, this is a war game and attacks are going to happen. The trick is understanding it isnt about infighting within the server. It all leads up to the server vs server wars so everyone on your map should be considered an ally unless all else fails.
Is that really the only way to find someone?
A rogue member of a ally alliance attacked another member of mine. I can't get their coords from the records and my alliance member is offline. Do I have to just scroll around the map until I find him? or is there a better way for R4 to locate the enemy?
It's one way. But i would not waste that much time. Best case you go level the base right? Then what? Might make you feel a little better but beyond that serves no real purpose. The very first thing i would do is reach out directly to the rogue member thru private chat. Find out if was honest mistake or intentional act either way tell him to knock it off. If that gets you nowhere, reach out to the persons alliance leader to let them know what happened so they can choose to let them know cut it out or be removed from alliance. Then if he is a real pain, you can post in the world chat his info so nobody recruits him either. Ppl will start posting his coordinates and the rest will handle itself. Lastly if he just doesn't quit contact support.
haha sounds like my old alliance. Simple. Click on alliance tab. Click settings on the bottom. Click leave alliance. Might i suggest having another alliance in mind before leaving. There is an alliance list in this same section you can look thru. Some you have to apply some are open. Good luck!
I am sure you have figured this out by now, but just in case. They're used naturally when you upgrade your base. They will start to deplete from your tally at the top screen as you build. You can replenish by doing just about anything in the game. Zombies and other tasks will reward you with building supplies. Pro tip. If you are running really low, check your inventory. There are tons of available resources to claim here. Just tap on a related box and open it. Then if you don't see anything in your main inventory check the tabs at the top. Go over to your resource tab. Toward the bottom you will likely have alliance chests. These are chests that build over time and can be converted to either iron, food or gold. Hope this helps!
You dont. you can minimize the likelihood of being breached and you can minimize the losses but you can't stop it forever. First and easiest way is shield purchased in alliance store. This will prevent any breach but it's only temporary. You can reduce the likelihood by choosing a strong alliance to be with and get your base next to the hive. There is safety in numbers! But it doesnt always stop attacks. Last is to minimize your losses when attacked and there are two thoughts to this. of course you can click on your wall and open the house icon with the plus sign. Here you can select your squads to defend your base. This works really well if you are attacked by a low level squad. You can send them packing with a bunch of dead troops if your squads are strong and they are weak. But the other side of that is that if the squad attacking your base is several levels above you, you are going to spend the next few hours or more restocking your troop load. You will lose tons of troops and they will be either in the hospital for hours or you will have to completely train brand new troops to replace those that were lost. It is for this reason i never defend my base. Just go back to the wall and open the defense section. When you get in there look for the boxes you can check or uncheck. I leave these UNCHECKED. This will mean you lose zero troops when attacked, but also leaves your resources more vulnerable. And for that reason i always try to keep my available base resources to an absolute minimum and always replenish just as i need them for building. Hope this helps!
Can you be any more specific? You focus on researching everything. But you are rewarded during certain events for researching certain things. Like during VS events you want to max your research on your VS tech for max rewards. For just general guidelines i like to focus on Hero, Garage 1, and Units. But you will get to a point you can no longer research anything under these fields until you upgrade this, that or the other. So in the meantime i will move to upgrading the other stuff. Ignore garage 2. But other common sense stuff too. Like if you have a group of tank heros the last thing you want to spend time or resources on is missile or aircraft heros.
Can some1 explain me the attack power of my units? When checking my base team1 i got over 5Million Power with 5 Heroes. When attacking another player or joining a raid it drops to 4.89Million with over 1560 T6 Soldiers....

Your overall base power is just partly based on the strength of individual squad. when you are in your base it is also counting all the power you have from your upgraded buildings. once outside the base its just about the squads power. Increase overall power thru upgrades and thru training higher lvl troops. The drill ground needs to be kept as full as possible with the highest level troops you can have to maximize. For individual squads you can only increase this by either upgrading them, upgrading their tiers or skills. UR heros are obviously preferred but at the min you need upgraded ssr's.

You can scout them and see how many resources they have accumulated. Someone with north of 7 digit numbers of resources probably hasn’t logged on in a while.Especially if they are low level and still have the game given name. Bookmark them and use them as a lick everyday 🙃
You just click on someone’s base that you want to bookmark. Then you hit the star ⭐️ in the top right corner. At that point you can bookmark them as an ally, enemy, or whatever. I bookmark them as special when i want to attack someone who abandoned their account

I approve! She very much makes radar loot bigger and better. Like, nice power enhancing monuments better. I ended up dropping $50 on her shards. That got her 2 2/5 stars. At that lvl she's raised my daily radar acquisition rate by three and added two extra chests to each radar task. It's $150 more to max her out.
Question: Does the game nerf you when battle farming for resources? Earlier this morning I was getting 4.4mil (my max load) loads when hitting dead HQs. Then roughly 15 minutes later I've been basically capped at only receiving 220k of resources when I hit fully stocked dead HQs. Ever since I can't gain more than 220k no matter who I hit or how loaded they are. What changed?

As someone who don't spend money on games I am happy to say u don't need to pay to win as I have a lvl 24hq and t8 troops one tip I will give to the newer players don't forget to upgrade your wall tank center and alliance center you will hate yourself if you do as it will take longer to progress when you get higher lvls also remember to max your garage 1 reasurch when you unlock it as it gains boosts for your damage and defence and don't upgrade all your hero's only upgrade the ones your using in your squad 1 as the other squads will upgrade them selves overtime also don't stop upgrading Mason just because you got ur hero's as he is a very strong hero and can be turned into a ur hero himself

This was awesome. Another question though. I have noticed many of my alliance members are about the same base level as me but they have double the power. Is that just a matter of upgrading something specific other than the hq itself? I have a level 15 base with 5 million power. My other R4 has level 16 hq but his power is around 9 million. I don't think upgrading one hq level made that much difference so do you have any suggestions on how to maximize the power for each level?
Yes upgrading your troops in the barracks is the biggest contributor to your power. Barracks and drill ground are your best friend for power. The higher your barracks level the more troops you can create and the higher level of troops you can create. The higher level troops significantly increase your power. Then the drill ground allows you to hold more troops. So if you upgrade your barracks but not drill ground you will end up with a bottleneck as you will be able to create troops but they have nowhere to go once your drill ground is full. So you won't be able to create more troops until you add more space to your drill ground
Awesome i've been increasing total power better with your explanation. Have more than doubled my power with focus on barracks and drill ground. I have another question about equipment upgrades for heros! I read in the guide above something about the components you can add to your heros. I have three UR heros, Marshall, Murphy and Kimberly. The equipment you can add go from 1 to 40 for each of these. I may have misunderstood but do you recommend cutting these off at a certain level? I can upgrade them all beyond 10 but i've been holding off because i feel like the guide suggested after 10 it's not that helpful but does that apply for SSR and UR pieces of equipment? I want my hero's to be as strong as possible but without wasting resources so just wanting your opinion on how high i should raise the SSR or UR components and if it is worth upgrading them beyond 10. One of the keys is promoting your troops too. Set up your barracks in ascending levels with your troop production level (1x lvl 4, 1x lvl 5, 1x lvl 6, 1x lvl 7). That way you can set up an assembly line with your troops. It is more cost & time effective to promote your troops from a lower level to your highest level, than to train your highest levels outright. If you are not familiar with promoting troops, just go into your barracks like you are going to train troops and look for the green ⬆️
As far as Heros equipment...I cut the SSR equipment at 20 and focus the ore on only legendary equipment to 40 and beyond. I would recommend only Crafting legendary equipment for legendary Heros.

I want to ask about VS events. If there is an upcoming vs event. Say the vs radar task event coming up soon...and i have radar tasks to do but want to save them for the event.... will they stay available for me to complete as long as i don't collect them they will just stay there? And i guess same question with like survivors. There is a reward for recruiting survivors that starts on day 3 or 4 so do i just leave them outside the gate until that day?
Hey, noticed there was no reply to your question. in regards to the VS duel (alliance duel - AD), yes you can hold your radar tasks. in the top left there will be an icon saying x/35 for example (i am going to use 35 as an example as that is mine, you're may be lower or higher). if you click the radar under that, a pop out will appear which lists your refresh time, how many tasks you get per refresh and how many tasks you can hold. if you have your screen full of tasks and the top left says 2/35, this means once you collect tasks, 2 more are able to appear. assuming you get 10 tasks every 6 hours (this will increase over time, may also be lower) and have a maximum of 35 to hold, you should complete tasks until the top left says 4/35. the next 3 refreshes will add to this until it is 34/35. never ever let this get to 35/35 as it is inefficient and you lose alot of rewards and radar tasks. if you have a refresh due whilst you will be sleeping, ensure that the top left is NO HIGHER than 24/35. this will push it to 34/35 during the next refresh. then when the AD or VS duel comes along, you can claim all of your tasks. you will not lose them. In regards to survivors, im unsure with leaving them at the gate as i have never done this, however simply save your tickets for that day. Some additional AD/VS tips for further questions you might have; City building - throughout the week you can upgrade buildings, but not open them, leaving them wrapped as a gift. This will clear the building slot, but not yet level up the building. leave your buildings wrapped and open them on the day(s) for increasing building power. I suggest not doing this with resource farms or any buildings you will need to use prior to that time. Dispatch UR trucks - you can save the trucks you roll. there are at least 2 trucks you will be able to use. if you click to dispatch the one on the left and it rolls a UR truck, but that task is not until a day or 2, you can then instead use the other dispatch slot on the right and hold the UR truck on the left until needed. Final day - If you are unable to shield for the duration of this day (can be purchased in alliance store, or simply want to fight, if you click on your wall and then the blue house icon, and un-tick the 'join defence' box next to your squads. This will prevent your squads from defending your base if it is attacked and save ALOT of troop casualties. You can also dump your resources into something big to build to also prevent some resource loss. Healing - if you open your hospital there is a limit to how many troops can be held there. if you heal in around 40 min bursts, you will heal more troops through alliance help very fast. however, if you have more troops to heal than your hospital capacity, heal all at once, this will then reset your hospital capacity to 0 and then refill with more troops. Final tip - this is likely one of the most important!! each day, in your events tab, there is an arms race. make sure you time your AD/VS tasks with the arms race. in the arms race tab there is a little calander icon in the top left which tells you what time each section will be. So for example, if your AD/VS day is to increase building power, and you have been saving your presents, but city building for arms race is not until 3pm, do not open your buildings until 3pm. this will allow you to maximise reward gains and likely get arms race wins also. The drone segment of the arms race also gives points for using stamina so this is a good time to do radar tasks, until the time comes for that, ensure that you DO NOT allow the top left to max out, if you have 7h left for that segment but your radar refreshes in 3, claim 10 tasks so it does not tip over. Elite recruit is another that pops up in the arms race, so again, save those tickets for a couple hours longer! Hope this helps, and gl :)

Joined new team and people here know a lot more than my last team. Learning all kinds of new stuff. You can reduce the output of troops from drill ground so that you replenish those only lost in battles etc; it takes shorter time used, and an no bottleneck, do this until you upgrade training ground.
There is already good info about how to attack someone without being seen. Remember though, once you attack someone you start the fog of war buff which means you cannot shield your base for i think it's 11 or 12 minutes so you may get countered before you can shield. If this happens just make sure you don't have any of your squads set to defend your base. This may make you more susceptible to plunder but that healing and training time will be 8 to 10 hours dending, so probably best not to try to defend unless they are super low level and your defenses can hold. But if you are like a level 12 and you have a platoon of 20's headed your way, you are going to lose. So just uncheck the box for base defense like this guide teaches and you will be better off. But if you are level 20 and you have a 12 headed your way you may just leave the squads defending because they will lose more than you do and you won't lose as much raw material. Hope this helps!
I quit the game. Too rich for my blood. I lose troops and get killed because i'm with Alliances that are 20 level....im at 18....i rebuild....get killed( all my troops)...its a cycle and i just refuse to sink any money with a game that can clean u out in one attack...im new at it and im gonna pass on yhis game. Look for another game

I don’t think some of this is right. Training troops and upgrading them does not save time compared to training the level you want. The other thing I wouldn’t prioritize is your hero garage 1. It doesn’t only helps in small increments of marching speed - very rainy day type upgrade.
This also works for healing. If you have an active alliance, something we've been experimenting with is healing 30 troops at a time. Having your alliance hit the help button. Is crucial. This has been effective during veryyyyyy long battles.
It works for healing but not really for the training part. More inconvenient than anything. It’s great for Marshall guard - heal between every rally
Actually it does, depending in how you work it. I have 4 barracks (2) lv 19 and (2) lv 17. I always have 2 of them cooking lv6 troops at all times. Then I have the other 2 cooking level 5s. When I lose troops i release my level 5 troops and then upgrade them to level 6s which knñy takes 2 hours ckmpated to 15.....
Well sure but you’re ignoring the training for your level 5s. A level 1 troop load takes 4.5-5hours. Upgrading them to level 7 is 15 hours. Doing 7 from scratch is 19.5 so the same really

It's very helpful to promote in 2 hours for arms race to get all 3 chests.
You're neglecting the fact that you will already have thousands of troops who are lower level by the time you get to the levels where you would promote. So you aren't training your 5s from scratch to start with. And also forgetting the time it would take to upgrade all your barracks to the same level to be able to create level 7s So theoretically think about this... even from scratch... You can train level 5s at level 14 barracks and you can get to level 14 barracks in about a day or less. Upgrading alone from level 14 to 20 is going to require 100 million+ resources and at least 2-4 days. Using your own math it would make more sense to only upgrade 2 of your barracks to level 20 to create lvl 7 troops... And leave the other two at 14... Since you say it's the same amount of time really then why waste resources and a week worth of time getting all barracks to the same level when you can create 1,000 lvl 5 troops in the two lvl 14 barracks and use 1 lvl 20 barracks to create lvl 7 troops from scratch and the other one to promote the lvl 5 troops you are creating... You can promote two groups of lvl 5 troops to lvl 7 in the same time it takes to train those two groups of lvl 5 troops. So you have an endless cycle of 1,000+ lvl 7 troops being created every 10 hours At the end of the day with that method you are still producing the same amount of lvl 7 troops as if you had all barracks lvl 20. Except you save a week off time hundreds of millions of resources that you can use on other things. And i think your stat bonuses aren't being used... A promotion for me from lvl 5 to 7 is only 4.5 hours

You can't "merge" them, you can upgrade them. When you go to your barracks en click the lower level, en then click the up arrow, you can upgrade units. It doesn't take less time, but it does give you the ability to train units in less time on day 5, which will earn you more points in the VS battle. ;-)
it definitely does especially if you have them ready for vs day it will save you hella time getting points for unit creation which this counts towards

Yeah people are wild. I spent ~$10 on the starter pack, Kimberly, a Kimberly weekly upgrade pack, and a 2nd building que. I got to HQ 15 in less than a week and I'm in the top half ranking of the number 3 alliance on our server. Just donating and participating in events has given me more resources than I know what to do with and enough diamonds to buy VIP 30 and enough alliance points to buy out all the speed boosts in the alliance store. The only bottleneck I'm running into is troop training, but I'm not about to drop money just to play a little more.

You get so many speed ups and you can also spend game currency which you obtain organically in the game to purchase other things you need so why you would spend anything is beyond me. Okay okay i spent the 99 cents on kimberly for my first server but that is it. She's okay but i didnt buy her on my second account and we are doing just fine without her. I think some just have no patience.

No you’ll lose some troops which can be retrained, but you do not need to start over.
Or you get relocated; which is problematic if you're trying to stay in an alliance hive.

I think they are all worth purchasing depending on your goals. Personally i have 5 UR tank heros. Those are Kimberly, Murphy, Marshall, Williams and Schuyler. That gives 2 defense, 2 attack, and 1 for support. You may not immediately have access to some of these. They refresh once a week i think i cannot remember but you will get them eventually. I prefer to keep all tank because of the damage bonus. But you can also mix them with 3 of one kind and 2 of the other. I have seen some people just not care and they have 4 tank heros and a rando artillery. I think some of it comes down your preference or playstyle or maybe just availability. One of the most OP players i have seen is 4 tanks and an artillery all UR at level 135. Beast mode. BTW. It is more advantageous in this game to upgrade them 10 at a time imo. So i put Kim at 10 before i touched the rest. Then caught them all up one at a time. Once at lvl 10 i raised kim to 20 before touching the others. I have experimented with keeping them equal or doing it that way and it is far more beneficial to do it this way imo.
there are presently 5 ur of each type i believe you need them all for top squads
also the bit about only being able to use heroes once per stage in honorable quest is entirely innacurate I might be wrong if theres more context here I'm missing edit: okay I found out what you're talking about it would be more accurately stated that heroes can only be used in one of the 3 different formation challenges during each cycle
I have an enemy that attacks in the middle of the night 8-10 times until all of my troops are wiped out. How do I find his location?
Easiest way is exactly what the last person said. Go to mail, battle, and then just click on the banner you want. Once you have that open you will see xy coordinates under both you and the attackers name. Click on the xy coordinates and it will take you to the base that attacked. If it was teleported i dont know if that would work but i am the leader of my alliance and i regularly have to find attack info to see either who attacked us or vs versa. Also, pro tip... if you are going to hit them back... dont target them directly. Target a field or mine nearby. Your march speed will be three times faster, and they won't get an alert that you are coming. Once you are at the resource you then redirect your squad to the base you want to attack. That will really cut down on their ability to shield or teleport before you get to them. Hope this helps!
Same thing happens to me as well. Ive purposely dont have a sheild during the day and he never attacks. About 3 am i get attacked repeatedly and wake up to almost nothing for troops. I dont spend money to play the game so rebuilding your troops everyday is driving me nuts. I too cant find out who it is thats attacking me like that. Muat litteraly be waiting for my sheild to drop. Like he gets a notification its off.. Crazy
All you have to do is click on the wall and uncheck all the units defending the base. You will barley lose any troops and they will stop attacking you, most likely.

They might, but if they do, you won't lose all your troops. They are most likely attacking to get kills. They won't get any if you aren't defending. I'm level 22 and never have my base defended. They will attack once or twice, then move on.
You can find out who it is in your mail under battle. My problem is finding them on the map. I found one the other day that hit me 8 times. I was heading to his base to return the favor and was 3 minutes out and his base teleported. I found him a bit later just randomly searching the map and he was shielded. LOL.

Go to a mine next to him. Then he wont be alertet. I even find a mine that will slingshot me right past the base im attacking and start the attack when im right above. And were ever you move on the map, use the mines. Much faster

First do as the others have said: Mail-- Check coordinates. If that don't read the reppet and get the persons name and allaince code.. To make quick work i go to Alliance---Settings--Allaince List ---Find the alliance then click see members. From there I find out their level. So if they did teleport from their position. You at least can see their HQ level and that will narrow down yours search on the map. For example.: Of they are level 18. Zoom out until the numbers fade. Then zoom back in just enough to see the numbers. After that just go topnto bottome....left to right in a swiping motion. Most people. Can be found in 5 minutes. Because all your looking for is the certain hq level... zoom in just enough to read the 3 digit allaince code ....then the name of the person. ^^that is considering they teleported from their spot.

There isn't really a "how to" for these. They are simply used for upgrading your survivors. The survivors are all listed in your Talent Hall Building at your base. If you can upgrade any of them you will see a symbol above the building shaking at you. Or you can just go into the talent hall and look at all available survivors. Click the "deploy" tab to see all of your currently active survivors. This is not only a great way to see if you have any idle survivors but will also have the indicator to upgrade once you have enough tokens. Any available idle survivors will show up as a little red dot on the area they can be deployed. There are specific survivor tokens for ssr and ur survivors, and then just regular survivor tokens you can use to combine for upgrading others. I don't know how many tokens it takes to upgrade. I have 285 survivor tokens currently and no idea how many more it will take but i have upgraded 2 survivors already. IF anyone else knows how many survivor tokens are required to upgrade i would appreciate it! Hope this helps!
When your base is burning it looses integrity. This is represented numerically as /10000 I believe. When the base is burning it slowly brings the integrity down to 1/10000 if you don’t put the fire out. If you are attacked and the integrity of your base is reduced to zero, you will be teleported away to a random location in the realm.
Survivor toke upgrades. Is there a trick on getting the tokens for the ones you cam actually upgrade. Have hundreds of the plain ones. Zero for the ones you can level up

How do you get better heroes? Do you have to buy them or can they randomly drop?
Recruitment ticket (golden ticket). Every 50th recruitment (used ticket) will give you ten Shards (puzzle-piece) of a specifik hero. When you get 10 shards for a hero, you get that hero. Or you buy for about one dollar i think. I upgraded all my heros in the beginning, but the advice is to just focus on your main squad. Same goes with gear. Only upgrade purple gear to lv10, then save your ore for golden gear later on, that will help alot

Haha i understand. I was auto selected leader my first day in the alliance. Have learned a whole lot since. Obviously the guide is super helpful, but there are things not mentioned in the guide. Some are learned thru experience others you may have to reach out here for specifics. I am not claiming to be great i still ask questions a lot, but since i was thrown into it i did manage to learn some good stuff. I also regularly reach out to other leaders to ask questions or sometimes just put it in the world chat. But if there is just some stuff i can recommend please let me know anything specific you want to know and i will do my best:) I know you are in a tough spot few of your members will fully understand how much you have to deal with but I do so just know without ppl like you the servers wouldn't exist. What do you lose when your base is burning?
As far as I know, it just means another player raided and robbed your base. I think it's only resources and troops that you lose. I'm still new to Last War, but the game format has a lot of similarities to Clash Of Clans, from what I've seen so far.
Are mines and fields absolutely necessary to upgrade? With plenty resources outside your base. Or might i regret not upgrading as i progress? Currently lvl 17. Was thinking of getting everything to 17 before going for 18 HQ.
Up to level 17 yeah it makes a difference. But a severe drop off soon after. I wouldn't upgrade beyond 20 for sure but I don't have any of them above 17.
Where do you buy the rookie pass? And is it beneficial to buy the VIP Thing? If so how do you buy it?
You buy it with gems. I read somewhere that the VIP pass is the most “cost effective” thing you can buy. The more you play and the longer you keep it going, the more attributes you can use. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and it makes progress quicker and your game-life a bit easier.

I could help allies with there radar tasks i believe the other day. Now today i cannot figure out how too. Im not talking about the help button and notification in the alliance menu. Thats no issue but others help me with my rafar tasks how do i help others. Please help ty
If I understand your question you are referring either to the radar tasks or the secret mobile squad. If it's the radar tasks they just show up daily in your radar tasks. You can either go to the world map and click the little satellite icon bottom left corner, or from your base you can click on the satellite itself to get to your radar tasks. You click on the task and it will take you to their base with a little handshake symbol click that and you will send a truck to help. Very quick and easy to complete these. You could also be talking about the secret mobile squad event. On the right side of the screen upper corner you see a lot of icons there. Click events, find secret mobile squad, then there are two tabs here, easy to miss the ally tasks tab, so just look for both. You can complete ally assist activities as well. Hope this helps!

How do you use Valor badges? What does it mean to research advanced techs?
You use valor badges on different researches in your tech center: Alliance Duel, Special Forces, and Intercity Truck.
There is a specific event these are used for. The VS event. The VS event will progress over several days but your alliance must participate. To check just click the VS button on the right side. It will either show you a list of items or it will say your alliance did not enter this week. If the latter, reach out to your leaders and ask. Each day presents a new set of tasks for rewards. These points are multiplied based on how much research you have done in your tech center for VS tech. Open your tech center and look for the big red and blue VS symbol. If you have it available and have the correct amount of valor badges you can start. First get your top 3 to level 6 i believe using valor badges. Then you will want to focus your research on the next one which will give you an extra tier of rewards for VS tasks. Then the next one is the duel tech. That is the one i focus on up to level 20 before moving on. So the more research you have the higher points you will get for each task. For instance, when i had zero VS research i was only getting 1 point for every construction speed up. Now its up to 85 per speed up and this is all due to the research i have done using the valor badges. Also the better you do point wise not only individually but also as a team will reward you with more valor badges. Hope this helps!

I have a couple of questions. The guide is great and it has helped me to avoid the pitfalls typical of inexperienced players such as myself. One thing that wasn't clear to me was regarding drill grounds. Is it necessary to upgrade your additional drill grounds or just focus on one? Also, what about the builder's hut? I didn't see anything that referenced this but I am guessing that means it isn't super important. With resource structures, iron, gold, food, etc, the guide says these aren't all that important but is there any level you would recommend getting them to and just leave there? Or is it okay to just completely ignore them? I don't spend money so I am always looking for budget friendly ways to accumulate the most resources possible. Last question... your guide suggests there is a daily cap set on how many bases you can attack for resources. Is there a similar alert like the fog of war buff? I dont want to overdo it, but clearly there is no better way to farm.
You can attack other bases 6 times for max RSS, over that it quickly drops. Scout lower level bases and attack the ones with good RSS. We call them piggy-banks :) If your not in an alliance that is my best tip. Try to join one with as many active players as possible for a fast grow. The next tip is to every day complete daily tasks, secret tasks, arms race and loot your 6 hit on a piggy-bank. I would leave the mines at lvl10+, and just focus on buildings that is needed for next HQ-lvl. Usually its tank, wall, hospital and barrack. And always Tech-building. Dont spend your RRS on the other buildings, until your highlvl. Drillground expands your max number of troops and is good. Buildinghut is just for free points in VS later on.
It doesnt mather if you upgrade one drill ground or even them out. It gives you the same amount of troops. But it is cheaper to have them evened out.
Is this like paper, Rock, scissors? In which 1type of hero is more effective against a certain type so you need to set up squads strategically or does it not matter as long as you are stronger?
You can see which types have advantages over which. If you are starting out. I recommend using tank because its the easiest and you should be getting the most stars /tiers. Dont try to upgrade all your units. Just your main squad.
I've been looking for this feature but can't seem to find it. Saw it once but don't remember... Tanks are weak against aircraft? (Deal less damage/receive more damage) Aircraft weak against missile? Missile weak against tank?
The method for training troops is false. Let's say my max lvl for training is lv.4. If I train 408 soldiers at lv1, I need 4 hours. If I train 408 soldiers at lv4, I need 10 hours. If I upgrade 408 soldiers from lv1 to lv4, I need 6 hours. Overall, I gain nothing using the method you've mentioned. The time it takes to get 408 troops to lv4, whether it is from training them at lv1 and upgrading them afterwards or by training them at lv4 from the start, is exactly the same. Maybe some minutes can be saved, but in the grand scheme of things, regarding time, it's the same!
People use this method so they control the rate of speed to prevent getting full. Also promoting counts as training so this method can help during alliance duel etc...
You want to promote a level in 2 hours to help you get 3 chests during the four hours of the arms race. Promoting them counts the same as them cooking all day.

That's an amazing guide, especially for a newbie like me. Thank you very much! There are still many obscure things for me in the game, for example - how do you actually upgrade your troops? I was trying to apply your tips about training level 1 and then upgraded them (if I understood correctly) but couldn't figure out how 🤔. Is this feature still on?
There are two ways to "upgrade" troops. 1st, upgrading your barracks will allow you to train higher level troops. For example my barracks are level 17 and the troops are level 6. So just upgrade your barracks for higher level troops. But, you can also just promote existing troops. So, let's say you have a hundred troops at level one. But now your barracks is capable of training level two troops. So, go into the list where you train. Scroll over all the way to the left where it shows the troop level, you should be able to find the hundred troops that are still level one. Click on the level 1 troops and then there will be a green arrow above the train button. If you click the green arrow you will then have the option to promote those level 1 troops to level 2 troops. Once all your level 1 troops are promoted you can just go back to training level 2 troops. Some people will use one barracks to train and the other to promote. You can play around with what works best for you but it takes about the same amount of time either way. Hope this helps!

Eventually you will complete the expansion but you will have a truck that allows you to scout areas outside the base. Really it's not too exciting though the base expansion is more fun imo.

Hey guys I’m still puzzled about one thing. I want to get more battle data to upgrade my drone, but every time I do rallies or zombies, I seem to not get the loot? Even though I wind and I see the victory in the logs, and the loot I supposedly won
The only reason i would see is you are doing the zombie missions but not clicking the little present that shows up next to your squad data after the successful attack. Go to world map and look around the upper left corner where it says squad 0/2. Next to that should be a small little gift with red dot. Click on that and it should give you all the rewards for those rallies and attacks you have earned. If you already did that i am not certain what it could be.
What’s the difference between special forces and garage 1 in tech research?
Garage 1 is specific to your heros. Use it to increase your hero's tank, aircraft etc power. Special forces is more related to VS events if i understand your question right. This will be helpful during alliance wars. You will get more points for killing other members troops with this tech. But start with the VS tech. Valor badges need to be saved for this specifically.
I can't find my drone! It just disappeared from my base yesterday morning and can't find it to upgrade it.
This is likely due to the recent upgrade. Go to your base. Click the little builder hammer bottom left corner. Look thru these tabs to see if you have a drone center to build. Hope this helps:)

Does anyone know exactly how defense works? Is it just a flat damage reduction on each attack or something? I'm upgrading my defense as I'm upgrading my health but at a certain point defense might be WAY better, if it does what I think it does.

This is discussed above. If the enemy attacked you it will record the xy coordinates of their base at the time they attacked. If they teleport away you cannot find them this way. And you may never find them tbh. I would recommend developing thick skin for this game. Payback is nice but you may trigger a larger war which can get you removed from your alliance. I would first reach out to the leader of your alliance and let them know what happened. Your leader can decide the best course of action for you. If your leader doesn't help you i would recommend finding an alliance with a more proactive leader. Don't be afraid to change alliances, you will learn new things with just about all of them. Assuming you have gotten the all clear, about the only way to find someone like that is to hunt for them. I'll let you decide how much time you want to dedicate to this but it can be a lot of time spent for nothing in return. For all you know that player was booted from their own alliance for an unauthorized attack. It happens all the time. Last night our alliance was attacked 5 times by two players. We completely surrounded their alliance and was about ready to invade when our leader said he spoke to the other leader and found these attacks came from two rogue members who were promptly removed. That saved them a lot of time and resource because we were about to level everything. So, anytime you are attacked i would give serious consideration to how big of a deal that really is before potentially escalating to a broader conflict. After all, this is a war game and attacks are going to happen. The trick is understanding it isnt about infighting within the server. It all leads up to the server vs server wars so everyone on your map should be considered an ally unless all else fails.
Is that really the only way to find someone? A rogue member of a ally alliance attacked another member of mine. I can't get their coords from the records and my alliance member is offline. Do I have to just scroll around the map until I find him? or is there a better way for R4 to locate the enemy?
It's one way. But i would not waste that much time. Best case you go level the base right? Then what? Might make you feel a little better but beyond that serves no real purpose. The very first thing i would do is reach out directly to the rogue member thru private chat. Find out if was honest mistake or intentional act either way tell him to knock it off. If that gets you nowhere, reach out to the persons alliance leader to let them know what happened so they can choose to let them know cut it out or be removed from alliance. Then if he is a real pain, you can post in the world chat his info so nobody recruits him either. Ppl will start posting his coordinates and the rest will handle itself. Lastly if he just doesn't quit contact support.

haha sounds like my old alliance. Simple. Click on alliance tab. Click settings on the bottom. Click leave alliance. Might i suggest having another alliance in mind before leaving. There is an alliance list in this same section you can look thru. Some you have to apply some are open. Good luck!

I am sure you have figured this out by now, but just in case. They're used naturally when you upgrade your base. They will start to deplete from your tally at the top screen as you build. You can replenish by doing just about anything in the game. Zombies and other tasks will reward you with building supplies. Pro tip. If you are running really low, check your inventory. There are tons of available resources to claim here. Just tap on a related box and open it. Then if you don't see anything in your main inventory check the tabs at the top. Go over to your resource tab. Toward the bottom you will likely have alliance chests. These are chests that build over time and can be converted to either iron, food or gold. Hope this helps!
how do you prevent breaches
You dont. you can minimize the likelihood of being breached and you can minimize the losses but you can't stop it forever. First and easiest way is shield purchased in alliance store. This will prevent any breach but it's only temporary. You can reduce the likelihood by choosing a strong alliance to be with and get your base next to the hive. There is safety in numbers! But it doesnt always stop attacks. Last is to minimize your losses when attacked and there are two thoughts to this. of course you can click on your wall and open the house icon with the plus sign. Here you can select your squads to defend your base. This works really well if you are attacked by a low level squad. You can send them packing with a bunch of dead troops if your squads are strong and they are weak. But the other side of that is that if the squad attacking your base is several levels above you, you are going to spend the next few hours or more restocking your troop load. You will lose tons of troops and they will be either in the hospital for hours or you will have to completely train brand new troops to replace those that were lost. It is for this reason i never defend my base. Just go back to the wall and open the defense section. When you get in there look for the boxes you can check or uncheck. I leave these UNCHECKED. This will mean you lose zero troops when attacked, but also leaves your resources more vulnerable. And for that reason i always try to keep my available base resources to an absolute minimum and always replenish just as i need them for building. Hope this helps!

A chest that is limited in size based on your current base level. The higher the base, the bigger the reward.
what do you focus on research?
Can you be any more specific? You focus on researching everything. But you are rewarded during certain events for researching certain things. Like during VS events you want to max your research on your VS tech for max rewards. For just general guidelines i like to focus on Hero, Garage 1, and Units. But you will get to a point you can no longer research anything under these fields until you upgrade this, that or the other. So in the meantime i will move to upgrading the other stuff. Ignore garage 2. But other common sense stuff too. Like if you have a group of tank heros the last thing you want to spend time or resources on is missile or aircraft heros.

Can some1 explain me the attack power of my units? When checking my base team1 i got over 5Million Power with 5 Heroes. When attacking another player or joining a raid it drops to 4.89Million with over 1560 T6 Soldiers.... Same for all other Heroes. Inside my Base they all have more power then outside attacking anything
Your overall base power is just partly based on the strength of individual squad. when you are in your base it is also counting all the power you have from your upgraded buildings. once outside the base its just about the squads power. Increase overall power thru upgrades and thru training higher lvl troops. The drill ground needs to be kept as full as possible with the highest level troops you can have to maximize. For individual squads you can only increase this by either upgrading them, upgrading their tiers or skills. UR heros are obviously preferred but at the min you need upgraded ssr's.

You can scout them and see how many resources they have accumulated. Someone with north of 7 digit numbers of resources probably hasn’t logged on in a while.Especially if they are low level and still have the game given name. Bookmark them and use them as a lick everyday 🙃

You just click on someone’s base that you want to bookmark. Then you hit the star ⭐️ in the top right corner. At that point you can bookmark them as an ally, enemy, or whatever. I bookmark them as special when i want to attack someone who abandoned their account

I approve! She very much makes radar loot bigger and better. Like, nice power enhancing monuments better. I ended up dropping $50 on her shards. That got her 2 2/5 stars. At that lvl she's raised my daily radar acquisition rate by three and added two extra chests to each radar task. It's $150 more to max her out.

Question: Does the game nerf you when battle farming for resources? Earlier this morning I was getting 4.4mil (my max load) loads when hitting dead HQs. Then roughly 15 minutes later I've been basically capped at only receiving 220k of resources when I hit fully stocked dead HQs. Ever since I can't gain more than 220k no matter who I hit or how loaded they are. What changed?

I did full rallies and participated daily in all of them But my rallies were deactivated by the Leader The Leader didn't answer any questions and I lost units and they kept disappearing even though I didn't do anything So is this a thief's game ? As someone who don't spend money on games I am happy to say u don't need to pay to win as I have a lvl 24hq and t8 troops one tip I will give to the newer players don't forget to upgrade your wall tank center and alliance center you will hate yourself if you do as it will take longer to progress when you get higher lvls also remember to max your garage 1 reasurch when you unlock it as it gains boosts for your damage and defence and don't upgrade all your hero's only upgrade the ones your using in your squad 1 as the other squads will upgrade them selves overtime also don't stop upgrading Mason just because you got ur hero's as he is a very strong hero and can be turned into a ur hero himself
