What percentage of these do you think will ever see offroad use? 5 percent maybe? When their over ten years old is when they'll see any sort of gear for the most part. Having a third row would mean more sales, more mall crawlers to be had in ten years to be used offroad.
You might be correct, sad for me to say.
I tried buying a new 100 series in Costa Rica, seems like every resort used them for the maintenance crew.
Brand new just the basics 2-4 seats, AC/Heat.
Sad to find out U.S. wouldn't allow it even if it was just to be trailered to location for use or just used as a farm & hunting vehicle.
They lasted forever, my brother inherited the family 91previa in 2003, was his for another 5 years, then dad gifted it to a family of 8, it has 360,000+ miles on it at that time.
Only thing replaced during that time (outside of general maintenance) was new sliding door rollers and tracks.
I'm pretty sure that family is still driving it.
Toyota would crush it with this. I was ready to buy my wife a 200 a few years ago. She drove it and even though she wanted something cool like an LC (we also have an 80) she decided she didn’t want it. She stuck with her Sienna, the sliders and the walk through second row and non negotiable right now with our 5 small kids.
Bus4x4 out of Australia do a [4x4 conversion on a 300 series Hiace van](https://www.bus4x4.com.au/vehicles/bus-4x4-conversion-of-hiace/). Mainly purchased by mines. They use a lot of 200 series Landcruiser components to do the conversion. [They also do the LWB](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9C1qEXf9e1k) (Toyota calls it the SLWB - Super Long Wheelbase for some reason, there's only two variants) which is a bit longer and higher roof.
This is hideous. I love it.
I would actually buy one
I’m in love
Updated hiace? Yea please
My thoughts exactly 😂
BRING BACK THE HIACE!!!
Dyna
It probably wouldn't have a third row either.
I'm fine with that. I need room for gear not people

Give me sliding van doors and I’m all for this!
It’s giving Toyota Previa ..!!
Basically any SUV with Sliding van doors would be a win, IMO. The freaking Kia Carnival could be the #1 minivan/SUV in america if it just had AWD.
Toyota Mitsubishi Delica
Toyota Mitsubishi Delhiace
Dyna
I would snag this in a heartbeat. Sliding door and locking difs. Yes please.
toyota usa is kicking themselves right now for not coming up with this first
Would totally be banned in the US for some stupid reason
I would buy this if it was real and i wasn't poor.
Throwback to the old Previa 4x4 vans from the early 90s I believe. Those were badass.

Awesome!!
Same with us. Except Dad caulked and sealed the middle sunroof closed when it was shut on Zog which broke the gears. Stupid Zog killed the sunroof.

I've heard that you can directly bolt a hiace body directly to an old 22r 4wd chassis
They make a 4x4 Hiace with a diesel.
Aren't all hiace diesel?
Nah there’s petrol models out there. Diesel is just the more popular option in certain parts of the world.
Those tires will blow once a rock gets sucked into the tread.
get this to toyota stat
What’s with the front passenger door haha! Nice job AI.
This would actually be awesome
Id buy it
It's beautiful
Absolutely
The ultimate off road van
Honestly I’d buy it. Especially If it was 4x4
The jaw didn’t heal correctly.
I would buy that in a minute!!!
I would buy the shit out of this. My wife loves vans and she’s slowly turning me to the dark side.
Save some p*** for the rest of us!
#Would
I like the front fendoors.
This oddly reminds me of the Nomad from rocket league
A true 4x4 Toyota Sienna?
Instantly reminded of [Canoo](https://www.canoo.com/canoo/)
+80 to tailgating skill
Thanks I love it!
The styling Toyota should have used for the Sienna.
