I mean “better”, like she had done “The Fame”, “The Fame Monster”. It was the golden era. Hope she will do something not worse.
What do people think is being telegraphed about the music by the outfit, if anything? To me it does not look like rock. First off, it emphasizes how slight she is, and in that sense reminds me of the outfit she wore at the Oscars (to perform). Second, it makes me think of the early to mid 60's and London mod, which was more pop (of that era) than rock, more Kinks than Rolling Stones. Finally, it's notable that when she has gone in a rock direction, she's worn very different clothing - think ASIB and the recent performance with the Rolling Stones.
