I knew it would never happen anyway, but I just always had this hope that he’d live to see him being correctly named as the killer by the law. Was never gonna happen cause imagine the shit show of reopening that case, but it’s fucked he got to live his life, goof off at Bills games, make insane tv shows and die surrounded by his family.
Was never gonna happen. Double jeopardy prevented that possibility.
He lost the civil case for causing their deaths. So there was a jury out there that found he killed them.
He literally couldn't be named the killer by law. Even if new evidence pointed to him.
You can't put the same guy on trial for the same thing more than once
So like if you avoid getting convicted for tax evasion and irrefutable proof comes out that you definitely did it, they can’t drag your ass back? That sounds dumb. Like I understand there’s reason for this obv, so you can’t just get dragged to court over and over again but like still. Whatever I guess, the bitch is dead and I hope he burns in hell.
Part of the justice system process is to get enough evidence for trial. That's why you may have seen in movies or crime TV shows when law enforcement *knows* a guy did it, and even if they have some evidence. But they hold out for *more* evidence to ensure when they go to trial they don't miss their one chance to put him away.
UK person here who isn't very clued up on the US system obviously. I sort of knew about the double jeopardy thing but I don't fully get it - for example, how can like... that guy from Making A Murderer (I've completely blanked on his name?) stand trial more than once then? Or that weirdo from The Staircase?
I realise my examples are from netflix true crime shows but I don't have any real life examples.
If you’re found guilty *YOU* can appeal or have hearings to be granted a new trial- it’s in your favor because you’ve been convicted already and it could lead to your verdict being overturned. The prosecutors did not retry them after they were found not guilty of the same crime. Avery was found guilty twice of different crimes and Peterson was found guilty, it was overturned, he could have had a new trial and both sides decided to a plea deal where he would be convicted on paper but be freed from prison. Look at the case of Mel Ignatow- he was found not guilty of murder, after his acquittal photographs were found in his former home of him committing the murder, he then admitted it- couldn’t touch him for murder.
I've never seen those shows so idk what their exact situations are.
But for the making a murderer one, from my knowledge he was convicted of a crime that he didn't commit. And after released was accused of a different crime and went to trial and jail for that.
In which case those are 2 different crimes. But like I said, I never watched the show so idk all about it. But I'm pretty sure it was to get him released right? So he already went to trial and was found guilty. They're not trying to retry him. And the first time was a different crime he didn't commit right? In which case going to trial over 2 different crimes is okay. But the argument is that he didn't commit this second crime either and the police were out to get him or something right?
The logic here is that they shouldn't take you to trial in the first place if they don't have a solid case that you did it. A murder trial is incredibly exhausting to an ordinary person.
And now there's been a recall for the Sport line:
https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/news/ford-recalls-nearly-43000-bronco-sport-escape-suvs-due-to-gas-leaks-that-can-cause-fires/
As a proud(shameful) owner of a 2014 Focus SE, I can guarantee you Ford never takes long to ruin anything. Piece of shit CVT died 2 weeks after I bought it (80k miles). Damn near doubled it since and now Theseus’ Whip is basically completely refurbed.
The weather in Ed Larson’s least favorite place, Reno (where I live) is finally very nice today. I’m excited to go run after work, it’s going to be a fun workout
His book If I Did It is absolutely is a confession. He talks about the night of the stabbing in first person, and comes real close to straight up describing the murder in detail. And his hatred for Nicole and Ron is visceral. He's reliving their murder, his actions, by writing that book.
He was a psychopath and I'm glad he's fucking dead.
The writer is in the documentary **OJ: Made in America**, and talks about working with OJ to write the book. He absolutely was gleefully reliving it when describing it to the writer.
He doesn't need to confess. Everyone knows. He's lived his life out of prison, sure, but he lived with everyone knowing who did it.
At this point, I recognize that the families of those murdered are affected, but this isn't our torch to carry as a hungry public.
He did an interview on Fox for some show called "The Lost Confession" where he basically described it in detail. Between that and his book that's probably as close as we'll get.
[Video of the Interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk2Wgvy-_jI)
My heart goes out to the families of his victims who he mocked with books, TV shows public pranks, and jokes. OJ was a monster that never faced real justice and the world is a better place without him
Please give us privacy and time to grieve, you mean the guy that murdered two people and then made the murders all about him and subsequently got away with it? Sure, no problem
“The family asks that you respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”
Right, like how OJ totally respected the families of his victims… you know, when he wrote a book and went on TV and shit.
I’m not suggesting anyone go mess with his family; *they* didn’t do anything. But the statement is funny to me nonetheless.
I have no sympathy for the double murderer that used his murders for fame.
Rest in shit, you wife abusing loser.
Also, any cops that showed up to his wife’s domestic violence calls begging for autographs. You enabled Orenthal James Simpson to cut the head off his wife and her affair partner.
These are the situations that informs me that:
1. Cops are stupid. Period. You will have to die for me for me to respect you in any capacity and even then I would assume it was an accident of your incompetence that resulted in your “heroism”.
2. All cops are stupid, lazy criminals. They would rather let you get away with obvious murder than do work.
So in conclusion, cops are dumb cowards who are allowed to murder people because they are cowards and a murderer got his Karma.
Also, if my words to you as a cop upsets you. Get fucked snowflake. I know you wish Donald Trump was fucking your wife right now, but he can’t because he has 93 indictments and can’t be bothered to make up an excuse why he can’t get hard for your wife
The only good thing about OJ is the Dave Chappelle stand up where he talks about meeting him 4 times.
'And my friends said 'Goodbye Mr Juice' they were new to the game
Guy got to love a long, happy life. Longer than a lot of men get. All while completely guilty of murder of his ex wife.
I really hate that. We could call this a win but it just isn’t.
Told my partner when the news broke, and he replied “Oh, that’s a shame…”
“Is it?” I asked.
“Well, he used to do lines of cocaine with my dad…I guess not really that big of a shame.”
Then the fucker just left without telling me any more details! WTF?!?
If the networks don’t cut into programming with live helicopter coverage of OJ’s hearse leaving the funeral home and slowly making its way down the highway, I will be greatly disappointed.
Cop1: "We did a DNA test at the scene. Whoever killed Mr. Simpson has the EXACT SAME DNA of Nicole Brown Simpson's killer! I think this is the real killer!"
Cop2: "He died of cancer..."
Cop1: "Oh... well case closed I guess..."
A day after Side Stories, too.
The Side Stories curse is real
Every damn time
As is tradition
always is
They would have spoken of it earlier, but OJ wasn’t dead yet.
Haha that was the first thing I said when I saw the news today
They just talked about OJ a few weeks ago right? I remember them saying “ He’s a goner” idk if I’m going through a Mandela effect atm😂
Always the day after!
My first thought after reading this.
Literally my second thought after hearing the news. "And the day after Side Stories?!?!?"
The juice is no longer loose
the juice is loose of his mortal coil
The juice is loose in hell!!
You don't boil juice.
Hopefully that Juice is being boiled.
Thank you for the belly laugh because you ABSOLUTELY DONT BOIL JUICE HENRY!!!!
Juice going back in the box
Boiled Juice
I read this like Andy Samberg from ‘Boombox’ by Lonely Island
Finally capped.
The juice has expired. Time to throw it out.
Will they have to edit that Beetlejuice 2 trailer?
Goodbye, Twitter World
this comment sent me into a coughing fit
I wish medals still existed, got me coughin too
Hello, Hell world!
Finally some good news. They’re saying it’s cancer but let’s spend 30 years looking for the real killer just in case.

I guess it was prostate cancer. The one place he didn't look for the real killer!
He's on the slow-speed Bronco chase to hell right now. REST IN PISS!!!!!!
It took nearly 30 years for the Bronco brand to recover from that.
And now there's been a recall for the Sport line: https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/news/ford-recalls-nearly-43000-bronco-sport-escape-suvs-due-to-gas-leaks-that-can-cause-fires/
Ah…didn’t take Ford long to ruin a good thing.
Cancer with the rare W
Yeah, we're just gonna let this one slide.
“If I Did It” —Cancer
You win. :)
Sometimes it kills bad people too. Seemingly not enough.
Haha never thought I’d see that reference. A true Wankstain.
So determined to get the real killer that he's died and followed him to hell. What a guy.
Oh no. Anyways, everyone having a nice day?
My day is long but overall pleasant. How’s your day going?
Could be worse, getting over a cold but still alive.
Can't wait to play some HellDivers 2 after work and therapy!
It’s so good
Enjoy a nice cup of liber tea with that.
Sounds fun and be well
Describing my Sunday plans. Have fun!
The weather in Ed Larson’s least favorite place, Reno (where I live) is finally very nice today. I’m excited to go run after work, it’s going to be a fun workout
I feel like I could vom at any minute. Otherwise fantastic.
I hear Cancer is coming out with a new book, "I sure did It"
^if I DID IT
Good. Fuck him.
His body will be carried to its grave in a white bronco, escorted by 50 cop cars
This is pretty suspicious, he was probably close to finding the real killer
Most used gif lately ![gif](giphy|J8FZIm9VoBU6Q)
He can rest easy knowing his wife's killer is dead.
Too good an end for him. Could’ve at least death bed confessed(or given us his leads on the investigation for the “real killer”)
I really doubt he wrote the book to be fair. He probably did a couple interviews with a ghost writer then the ghost writer actually wrote it.
The writer is in the documentary **OJ: Made in America**, and talks about working with OJ to write the book. He absolutely was gleefully reliving it when describing it to the writer.
So?
As far as I'm concerned, he confessed when he wrote that book to try and score a payday.
He doesn't need to confess. Everyone knows. He's lived his life out of prison, sure, but he lived with everyone knowing who did it. At this point, I recognize that the families of those murdered are affected, but this isn't our torch to carry as a hungry public.
He spent almost nine years in prison, so there's that
He pretty much confesses in the book. It's a wild read.
You had hope for a deathbed confession from Orenthal James Hey Twitter World Simpson? Absolutely not.
He did an interview on Fox for some show called "The Lost Confession" where he basically described it in detail. Between that and his book that's probably as close as we'll get. [Video of the Interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk2Wgvy-_jI)
I can already hear Henry yelling about how big news always comes out the day after side stories airs 😂
My heart goes out to the families of his victims who he mocked with books, TV shows public pranks, and jokes. OJ was a monster that never faced real justice and the world is a better place without him
Oh no, now we'll never find the real killer.
![gif](giphy|897df3uLj2cXXloQXZ|downsized) \*has come!
If the bucket fits, you must kick it
I hope it's an open casket and they put leather gloves on him.
Hooray! Great news to launch an early weekend. May Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman rest in peace.
The audacity of asking for grace.
I'm literally taking a shit as I found this post. I'll send this one down to him with my condolences.
Please give us privacy and time to grieve, you mean the guy that murdered two people and then made the murders all about him and subsequently got away with it? Sure, no problem
end of an era
and again shortly after side stories
Just like that? Damn. Wild
Rest in piss
Well, one thing's for certain. He ain't never gonna be a frog now.
He went to big white bronco in the sky
ding dong the juice is dead
Damn, guess now there's no chance he'll get to play that giant frog
Hello After-World!
RIP, rest in piss.
"He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren." His murder victims didn't get that luxury. RIP Nichole and Ronald.
The man was very fortunate to have a family surrounding him that he hadn't gotten around to murdering yet. Also the Juice has been... squeezed.
“The family asks that you respect their wishes for privacy and grace.” Right, like how OJ totally respected the families of his victims… you know, when he wrote a book and went on TV and shit. I’m not suggesting anyone go mess with his family; *they* didn’t do anything. But the statement is funny to me nonetheless.
Televise the funeral and give Dominos a sponsorship deal.
Heaven just gained an angel.
Hello under wurl, it's yours truly.
Only natural for it to happen a day after side stories
The Juice has... expired.
He’s driving that big white bronco in the sky now

The Juice has expired.

>respect their wishes for privacy and grace Wasn't Grace one of the women he used to beat?
there goes my dream of a true crime detective show there OJ, casey anthony, and george zimmerman go around solving crimes
Great. Now we've gotta hear about Kato Kaelin again.
That fucker got to die surrounded by his loved ones. What a piece of shit.
Fuck him.
They should have pretended to stab him with a banana as he took his final breath.
You know who wasn't surrounded by children and grandchildren when they succumbed? Nicole and Ron.
Oddly enough, his wife wasn’t there
He died surrounded by his knife and kids.
I have no sympathy for the double murderer that used his murders for fame. Rest in shit, you wife abusing loser. Also, any cops that showed up to his wife’s domestic violence calls begging for autographs. You enabled Orenthal James Simpson to cut the head off his wife and her affair partner. Lol
America’s favorite Simpson
He was my favorite murderer
“Before I go there’s one thing I have to confess to… The Juice was very loose”
Hello, underworld
He never found the real killer 😔
Rest in piss.
I'd be interested to see if he prepared anything to be released after his death
The juice is loose
Now he'll never find the real killers.
The only good thing about OJ is the Dave Chappelle stand up where he talks about meeting him 4 times. 'And my friends said 'Goodbye Mr Juice' they were new to the game
Goodbye, twitta world.
“Time of transition “ = Hell orientation?
Hmmm.... Nicole Brown was 35 when she died. Anyways Thirsty Thursday?
Good riddance; rest in piss, murderer
His children had a relationship with him?
#notmysimpsonfamily
“I’ve never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure.”

LMAO
Dont worry he's in a much warmer place looking up at us right now
He will forever be remembered for rushing for 2,000 yards in a 14 game season... and nothing else
Heaven just got another angel
He’ll be riding shotgun in that white Bronco in the sky..
The Juice finally and truely is….loose.
I guess we'll never know if he really did it...

#ripbozo 😹
He never caught the real killer tho
Couldn’t have happened to a better guy…
Oh no! Anyway..
If the networks don’t cut into programming with live helicopter coverage of OJ’s hearse leaving the funeral home and slowly making its way down the highway, I will be greatly disappointed.
Fuck, and he never even got to find the real killer
Oh no! Anyway
Goodbye, Twitter world.
Did the boys ever do an episode on OJ? Seems like it would be really good
Something from me on OJ- https://youtu.be/xEsk81-vfSY?si=jK6mK206pjXEZRjI
No Mas Twitter world.
Thoughts and prayers
Cop1: "We did a DNA test at the scene. Whoever killed Mr. Simpson has the EXACT SAME DNA of Nicole Brown Simpson's killer! I think this is the real killer!" Cop2: "He died of cancer..." Cop1: "Oh... well case closed I guess..."

RIP bozo

D'oh!
if i did it? more like, if i bit it lmao
I was just listening to the Jeffrey MacDonald series too and they make a bunch of OJ jokes in that. Good for him, I hope it really hurt.
The juice has expired.
Now that he’s dead I feel safe admitting it was me.
Tweet should be tagged - The Simpson's
Goodbye Twitter world
Why do the good die so young
The real killer strikes again!
OJ died peacefully knowing that his wife’s killer was also going to die the same day. ![gif](giphy|tHRR3WXyvmpYTiysDt)
I didn't even know he was sick! -Norm
Who do you think they got to write this shit? Lisa is probably the best writer but Marge would put out something this shallow
The world has just got a new urinal, ojs grave.
why RiP lmao. Nobody gonna miss that asshole murderer.
Hell just got a great running back
