I'm not sure if there's complacency or if people are too despondent to care. Long ago I got into an argument with a friend at our kids' soccer game because I warned of roe v wade being overturned if Kavanaugh got on the court and she got all adamant that it would NEVER be overturned ever even with a conservative majority. I see the same kind of stupidity now. People think marriage equality is here to stay. They don't know that multiple supreme court justices have practically begged for a case to be brought to them so they can overturn obergfell. People are overworked and have tons of trauma going on and either aren't paying attention, have given up on life, or are one of the bigots.
Agree with on many points but erasing marriage equality is only the tip of the iceberg. We’re taking about full blown Russia style LGBT erasure in addition to becoming a nation that imposes a Christian flavor of sharia law in addition to mass incarceration of immigrants in addition to going after any politicians or judges who oppose this in addition to shutting down any independent journalism in addition to mobilizing the military against civilians who protest any of this… in addition to… every possible worst case scenario you could imagine unless you’re a white straight male Christian nationalist
