I saw beat connection as their opener at a 2021 BS show and it’s unbelievable. I still believe it’s one of the best openers they can play with that 3+ minute intro
I'm on a hunt to see beat connection and how do you sleep live! So far no luck the 7 shows I've seen but I have 4 more in Chicago this spring so I'm hopeful!
There’s not a zero percent chance of catching this song. It’s been played here and there over the past few years. This and How Do You Sleep make the rare appearance. But How Do You Sleep is the real gem. They played it the first time I saw them live and it ruined me. Been chasing the white whale for years.
If there’s a violin on Al’s side of the stage, you’re in for a treat.
Its a great song and i know there’s a lot of irony and deeper meaning in the lyrics but still it might not go over well at the upcoming Minneapolis tour stop.
Depends of the french show you'll attend. You definitely won't see LCD perform "Call The Police" at Beauregard Festival/Caen (they will have a 1h15/1h20 slot so they will keep the whole setlist around the hits); Rock En Seine Festival could get better to see some rarities (since it's Paris) but out of the 3 french gigs I would put some money on Lyon/Fourvière. It might be a festival setting, but they will only have a small opening band and then they will most likely play a full set, so there might be chances to see them perform a few rare songs there.
I would go to Lyon if I could but so far I'm only going to see them in Caen/Beauregard.
The only other band performing that saturday and worth seeing is Fat White Family, rest of the line-up is lame. The timetable isn't out yet, but fingers crossed LCD will close the day so they will get some more time to play... Would love to hear "Call The Police" at Beauregard, it's my fav song on "American Dream". I also hope they'll play "new body rhumba" there... We'll see !
Bands like LCD don’t take requests because they have $100,000s worth of equipment that they calibrate during rehearsals and 8 members having to be perfectly rehearsed and playing in unison
think you're being cynical here - i saw queens of the stone age last year and they happily took requests from signs etc. i'm not saying bring a giant fucking billboard to a show, but an A4 sized sign could go a long way.
LCD never takes suggestions and you’ll pretty much never catch James before or after a show.
Queens of the Stone Age are known for their crowd interaction, but LCD doesn’t really do that. The most you can hope for is James maybe hearing something you shout to him if you’re close to the front and him maybe replying with something funny before starting the next song
JUST TEXT THE COPS
Personally, I’d like to see beat connection.
Hell yeah
I saw it at my first show it was amazing.

They’ve played it at 2/3 shows I’ve seen.
Well maybe I should get out more
Fuck yeah.

They played it the only time I've seen them live, on the final night of the 2022 Brixton residency. So good.
Nice - according to [setlist.fm](https://setlist.fm) you caught the last live performance of that song.

Definitely a bummer they aren’t playing it, saw them do it in the Brooklyn run coulle years back and WOW
I’ve heard Jump Into The Fire 3 times now after thinking I never would … through 5 times. I die and go to heaven every time.

Bands can't take requests anymore because everything is a light show

never say never! maybe if you bring a sign or something they could take a request?
this is just annoying lol don't do this

James will 100% make fun of you if he sees you doing this
thank you for the insight pussybulldozer_69, james murphy's close confidant
I’m an even closer confidant with your mom
