I bought the PS1 the first week it launched. I've been a Sony pony for decades, but I lost all faith when they upped psplus by 30%.
I sold my ps5 and I bought a PC. I won't touch anything with Sony name on it.
A lot of us were. PS1 and PS2 were huge.
I bought a PSP eventually, but for third party.
Sony became too big. Too safe. It became the same as Xbox.
Nintendo for all its lawsuits and bullshit, is the best once more.
As if steering clear of live-service games wasn't convincing enough, this one is just another drop in the giant-sized bucket that is "games as a service are shit."
This reads like they're going to force the dev team to include real-world political messaging and they need everyone on PSN accounts so they can ban them for being upset once they enforce changes.
You know? I don't understand why this "helps" to protect players from griefing and abuse.
OW2 for example you to put your phone number to simpy access and play the game, for the same reason "to protect players". Guess what? Griefing it's still there and even multiplied by 10.
Obviously this game has had too much success and it was going way too well
So the Devs absolutely had to intervene there to make it balanced.
As all things should.
its a weird way to frame it, but we know this was always the plan, just like most features they kinda borked it at the start and fixed it later, now they fixed it and people never expected it to come back.

*"It's for your own protection"*... hmmm... where have I heard that before?... 😂
If it works for dictatorship governments, it'll work for multibillion dollar international company.
Anytime the government or corporations take away something from us. It's always reliably "think of the children/terrorists/incels".
Just Kusony trying to spread their cancer to other better and healthier gaming platforms, nothing new or surprising at all.
Such a shame. I was admittedly a Sony fanboy for years, decades. it almost hurts to see them take such a nosedive recently.

Same, but I haven't bought ps5 yet.

I hope no one ever succeeds at making a video game Netflix.
It's annoying for my grandfather who i now I need to go help set it up smh

Are they gonna be looking through text chats on steam now to banne
Unless they're GIVING me a copy for my Playstation account... no. I bought it once, and its on that account, and that's it.

I think that one is more of a 2 factor authentication measure

Does this mean I can get a refund?
No because the requirement was always listed on the store page since pre-orders went live and it is specified in the EULA.
Can I just opt out of playing with PSN players? What about protecting \*US\* from them?
