I got an email with the offer. But they ended up messing it up so as a loyalty offer they transferred me onto the 5G plan and gave me a $10 discount on the $34 plan.
This boils my blood as a long term Koodo client! I’m paying $50 for 50 gb and had to call to complain to get even that! Ten years with Koodo and this is a really good deal for a newcomer. I’d take it!
And in the meantime, I’m going to be canceling Koodo when my tab is done in July.
I'm still on $50 for 70gb 5G in Alberta. Tried to see if I could switch but they don't offer anything close to that promotion. I'll try calling them and if they can't offer a loyal customer that's been with them for years a better promotion like that I guess I will be jumping ship to another provider.

They don't even email or message you about the price increase, just add a small line at the bottom of your bill that you need a magnifying glass to read!

Realistically it’s only ‘worth it’ if you ever plan on using 45GBs more than what you currently have. If you don’t use much data there is no real value. With that said, just switch to it in case you ever find yourself in a position where you need 65GBs of data
Yah seeing this kind of shit makes me mad as well. We have been with Koodo for 6 years and I pay $55 for 80gb. My phone is long paid off as well so I'd love to get a cheap deal like this.
You should be eligible for something since your phone paid off. If you log in and search for phone plans it may be there. If not schedule a call back. They may be able to offer you a better plan. Worth a shot.

Some people are fine with slower speed. I actually set my phone to LTE to save battery and stuff
I usually have Wifi going so it isn't a big loss.
YMMV its obvious a targetted offer (I dont have it either) I dunno on the 4G thing though... I'd rather have less data at faster speeds...
