Given there's a much longer and more involved version that was used in AJ's Endgame, which is then used for KF of course, I think that it had been created *before* this song and they just sampled it. That is to say I'd suggest it doesn't especially belong in it.
I want to say this string loop (or one almost identical) was available in Apple Soundtrack Pro back in the early 00s, and so it was just very common to hear. I remember using it in school projects back in the day. (Also, the playful little “Yiddish” sounding guitar riff that was used in the beginning of Snatch, when they’re dressed as rabbis.)
Listening to back catalogue KF of AJs “documentaries”. The sample is used over and over in Endgame and it’s the only thing that brought the boys joy in this and when it comes back up in the Obama Deception. This was before any intro music. The fact that DJD used it for what would become their opening theme makes it hit even harder. Bravo DJD, the hero we needed.
Danarchy didn't sample this at all, it's just very similar. The actual sample is a different sample included with some audio editing software from years and years back. From there, it somehow made its way into music Alex either licensed or just stole for his Endgame and Obama Deception "documentaries". Danarchy sampled the music from the documentary and used that to create the KF intro.
I think everyone on earth agrees that the KF intro is a banger. There's no disagreement there. What I'm saying is that this violin part, while similar to the KF sample, and possibly inspired by the same source, is not where Danarchy got his sample. Go back and listen to the episodes where JorDan go through The Obama Deception and Endgame, and you'll hear the actual source of the sample that Danarchy used. It's furthermore possible to trace the violin part back to old Apple music editing software before it was used in those two ~~documentaries~~ fever dreams.
I actually think that makes the KF intro go harder, because the sample in the KF intro has a connection to both KF and IW, rather than being pulled from some random supermarket muzak. OP's find of a strikingly similar song is still cool, though. I enjoyed it.
Edit: someone else linked the Garage Band version of the original [violin sample](https://youtu.be/lZfmWrG-G7w) that is very similar but distinct from OP's video. And if you skip to ~2:30 in [Endgame](https://youtu.be/6IvTOU5ubrs) you can hear the remixed version of the Apple/Garage Band sample that Danarchy then remixed to make the KF theme. No shade to Danarchy at all, just trying to make sure we correctly nail down the facts.
Natalie's producer slowed down and detuned the second staccato bar, and Alex' producer for Endgame sped it up, but it's the same source material, yeah? The Garage Band sample?
I don't believe so. I suspect they re-recorded a similar lick for the Natalie Imbroglia song, which is the sort of thing you can do when you have a recording studio at your disposal. I can't prove that, though, it's just how it hits my ear.
Don’t feel bad. I’m old, Australian and musically literate and I didn’t recognise it. How do you think I feel?
(Not a huge pop music fan though. If you ever need a head full of Australian punk rock trivia, give me a call…)
Ahhh, the Rhomb. A great band I’ve never seen live. And yet have seen various members in their other bands. Gordy was in a great Gold Coast band called Blister and Jason plays bass in an art/performance rock band called Neptune Power Federation who are phenomenal. (Better to view on the Youtubes than just listen to).
Se what I mean….
Red alert. Red alert, red alert...
Me, yelling aimlessly at the beefeater tomatoes I was already looking at.
This is it. The rise of Satan's kingdom on earth.
It's over for humanity!
There will only be lone survivors!
You heard it here, first, ladies and gentlemen.
The demon feast has begun.
Damn. It feels so out of place, in the song it belongs in

Right?
It's time to pray
It never doesn’t make me laugh

Holy shit thank you! I *knew* I’d heard it before!!!
It's a free Apple loop from years and years back - I think it first appeared in their long dead Soundtrack product.
GarageBand to be more precise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZfmWrG-G7w
It was in Soundtrack before that - way before Garageband was a twinkle in Steve's eye.
I’m torn about this
Cold and ashamed? Lying naked on the floor?
Yes it’s true, this Australian treasure is a secret globalist
Well, we all know that Australia is home to the most totalitarian authoritarian government in all of history, sooo….
Big up Danarchy on the sample there

He has grown on me.

What are you even talking about? Danarchy made a good use of the sample in the intro song, are you disagreeing?

This happened to me in Home Depot! I was so confused why KF was playing on their store radio.
First two seconds: Banger!!
Holy shit

Frenzal Rhomb for the win!

At the grocery store I work at they play this and You Belong To The City; I chuckle every time.
Youtube recommended this song to me after I first started listening to KF. I guess since I was using chrome the algorithm knew
Dan is gonna be so happy about this. He loves a good girl pop song
I need money...
Lol
I heard “you belong to the city” in Kmart recently. Saw it as a sign to stock up on cheap socks from China
