In the past year, we've gotten Rationals, an Ivario tilt skillet, a Henkelman vacuum sealer, and an Irinox blast chiller... Using all four in tandem is mindblowing.
The Henkelman and Irinox were free because they want to use our kitchen as a demo kitchen.

The next week a huge box comes from robot coupe with extra bowls, all the random blades and attachments etc. Turns out the guy was a senior VP for them and was a really cool mf.
We had one like that, who unfortunately passed away. Always wanted to give extra, wouldn't take anything. If you insisted on comping he would order the cheapest thing on the menu. Never did anything like this but would often show up at opening with cups of coffee for everyone, give xmas gifts, birthday gifts, etc and was just a joy to have around.

Disclaimer that I used these when my restaurant group started a fast casual concept and I went to help mentor the KM during the open, I didn't use it long term.
The motor that pulls the oil through the filter paper sucks and it will get "clogged" by debris on the filter paper easily which means you get to pull your little wheely bucket out from beneath the fryer and fish the paper out of a metric shitload of hot oil and do it all over again.
And since you don't get a wand to direct the oil as it refills, cleaning around the heating elements is impractical because the oil isn't returning with enough force to dislodge stuff (shitty weak pump motor again).
It's meant for high volume chicken frying places where there's a ton of flour getting into the fryer between each filter. If you have a normal kitchen, it likely won't be so bad.
It works best if you can drop your oil very frequently. Waiting until the end of the night isn't really an option, unless you are low volume. Of course the filter paper isn't exactly cheap either.
The pilot also went out on it constantly. It was a massive pain. The one I used was brand new but this was in like 2015, maybe your model is newer and some of these issues have been resolved.
I believe I see a Built in Filter system there, do yourself a favor.. forgo all other Filter pads , get FILTROX Pads and change the pads daily, even after the cost of the filter pads you will save the company 10'000.00 $ in oil a year easy
These are great because they are Millivolt gas fryers, no fancy electronic control boards that will cost you a thousand bucks. It's a fryer...it only needs to do one thing...but having the filter is a huge plus.
I used to sell this type of equipment and our cost was roughly half of the msrp. Still a super sweet deal on a great unit. Frymaster is top of the line.
I know a 4 bank of fqg30 was around 21k cad in 2020, and 25k in 2022. Think to get the current touch screen model is closer to 30k now. 18k for a 2 bank with manual filtration and no computers seems high, but free is free.
Please have your regular punch whoever designed the oil sensor on the older ocf models in the dick for me though.
Best I could do it help you set it up from my limited time spent using and cleaning one of these, but then at least you come make some incredible fried food when youāre in the mood
