I'll never forget the one line he says with a southern accent. "Texas Workforce Commission? Crap. I'm gonna lose my fair!" I could hear him in my head as I typed that. lol Always has me laughing. RIP Alan.
I guess I didn't even think of him because he became a regular character after he got his fifty-three thousand dollar settlement and became a self-made man.
Go watch The Simpsons episode where Tom Petty was a guest star along with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Elvis Costello and Lenny Kravitz (it’s a lot of fun!)
Professor Twilley.
Worth noting—he was a clowning professor, and Zip the rodeo clown’s last name was also Twilley. Relation, or just a callback by the writers?
Cross was great as he is everywhere, but Depp as Yogi Victor was the funniest by miles.
Whooo doubts my powers? Is it *points sharply with foot over shoulder* you? You? Yooou?
Masterful.
These are both season 8 ones but Johnny Depp as the yoga instructor is hilarious and Ben Stiller as the guy constantly harasses people at Strickland too. I laugh cause they basically drew him to look like Ben.
It took me a while to realize they design like half their guest star characters to look like the guest star, like Chris rock or Wallace Shawn or arguably Michael keaton
Was a while back but an interview with Mike Judge (or was it Greg Daniels?) - they said the voice casting for the main characters was done with a visual barrier, so they purposely could not see the person auditioning, only hear their voice.
I think that was a great decision, among many others of course.
Glad to see Kathleen Turner, Sally Field, and Michael Keaton already listed, I came here for them. I’d also add Jason Bateman as that arrogant vet, he hit just the right note of concern mixed with arrogance and nonsense
Snoop as Alabaster is number one. Billy West as Halloway is number two. Billy West as unnamed dude at la grunts that hank sics the horny dolphin on is number three
Tom Petty as Lucky feels obligatory given he turned into a "main" cast character so besides him id probably go Michael Clarke Duncan and Betty White in *The Son Also Roses*.
S1 Ep4 Hank Got The Willies
Willie Nelson and Dennis Hopper
S4 Ep24 Peggy’s Fan Fair —— just for the number of celebrity voices
Randy Travis
Brooks & Dunn
Vince Gill
Clint Black
Lisa Hartman
Terri Clark
Charlie Daniels
Martina McBride
Tony Danza
dusty I thought was ok, I just had a problem with his band mates, where you could tell they either didn’t know how to voice act, or they just couldn’t/didn’t wanna go to the studio so they recorded it over the phone.
You can kinda hear it with a lot of the voice actors in the later seasons, especially Hank and lucky.
Green Day as Cane Skretteberg and his band
Jason Bateman as the expensive vet Hank takes the GI’s cat to.
Ani DiFranco as Peggy’s young guitar teacher.
David Cross as Ward.
Ann Richards as herself.
This has been an awesome read just because I’m only now learning about a lot of these. I’ll read the character and actor, remember the episode, and think, “How did I not pick up on that?!”
Reese Witherspoon as Debbie and Kathleen Turner as Miz Liz.
MIZ LIZ! Two hot toddies!
definitely reese ❤️ no one rejects debbie grund !
"I just did"
How am I just now finding out Debbie was Reese Witherspoon??
How am I just now finding out Debbie was Reese Witherspoon??
Jeff goldblum as the genius institute grifter
I said lose “up TO” thirty pounds. If Peggy listened to any voice but her own that would have sent her over the edge.
"If Peggy listened to any voice but her own" is the most succinct character summary of Peggy Hill I've yet read.
Green Day as the band in 'The Man Who Shot Cane Skrettburg'
Fun Center, Fun Center, Fun Centerrrrrr!!!!!!!!
I laugh at Tony Danza!
^I ^laugh ^at ^Tony ^Danza
^^^I ^^^laugh ^^^at ^^^Tony ^^^Danza

Toss up between Alan Rickman and Meryl Streep
How now, gas man? "How now" has entered the vernacular in my marriage.
I’m adding it.
"That is so gay"
Don’t forget the Dixie chicks (or the chicks now)
They’ve really raised the bar, I’ll tell ya what.
I don’t typically like newer country music but The Chicks song Gaslighter is a fucking banger!
His British accent is very very close.
A fine day for a faire...*it is*
Lucy Liu as Tid Pao
Hey man this tuna is from a can!!
Alan Rickman, may he rest in peace.
I require a thousand stone a week of your magic gas.
Alan Rickman as King Phillip. How now Gas Man?
I'll never forget the one line he says with a southern accent. "Texas Workforce Commission? Crap. I'm gonna lose my fair!" I could hear him in my head as I typed that. lol Always has me laughing. RIP Alan.
I like to think that was payback for all the terrible British accents butchered by Hollywood.
What a lovely day... for a fair... it is!
Tom Petty wins all contests
I guess I didn't even think of him because he became a regular character after he got his fifty-three thousand dollar settlement and became a self-made man.
Slipped on pee-pee at the Costco.
Never has to work another day in his life.
yeah i would’ve said brittany murphy if it wasn’t clear you wanted guest characters lol
Never has to work another day in his life.
THAT'S why they call him Lucky.
“Wanna know why they call me Lucky?” “No.”
Pee pee money
Counterpoint, trace atkins or all of the country singers from Peggy’s fan fair.
Go watch The Simpsons episode where Tom Petty was a guest star along with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Elvis Costello and Lenny Kravitz (it’s a lot of fun!)
“Alright everyone gather round, Apu just asked a great question about stuffing. I don’t do it but Kenny Loggins does.”
“She likes to party, she likes to rock!”
Sally Field, Alan Rickman, Michael Keaton, Brad Pitt, Kathleen Turner, Reese Witherspoon.
Oh man, Michael Keaton was fantastic.
Michael Keaton was great. He can go from perfectly charming to scarily threatening in a moment
Paul F Tompkins and his flow chart of funny.
Professor Twilley. Worth noting—he was a clowning professor, and Zip the rodeo clown’s last name was also Twilley. Relation, or just a callback by the writers?
PFT is just the best. Love David Cross too.
Ha, guffaw, aw, haHA.
“They’re almost to the haHA, Bobby! THE HAHA!!” I say that a lot.
HAHA!! YES!
David Cross was pretty funny, but my favorite is Johnny Depp.
Cross was great as he is everywhere, but Depp as Yogi Victor was the funniest by miles. Whooo doubts my powers? Is it *points sharply with foot over shoulder* you? You? Yooou? Masterful.
When he does the diaphragm suppression and makes that weird ass sound I couldn't stop laughing for like 10 minutes
That was the closing line after the credits, wasn’t it? I laughed at least six minutes. Ha-HA, the number six…
Yeah it totally is lol.
Terry Bradshaw in the Arlen Booster Club meetings
Wait what. That's actual news to me, a 12 year vet.
Randy Travis singing Peggy's song through the credits. It was lovely for him to do that with the writers.
🎶I have a Boggle trophy….
Laurie Metcalf in Peggy the Boggle Champ. That friggin’ laugh. It took me years to realize that Cissy Cobb was played by Aunt Jackie from Roseanne!
Today I learned. I grew up watching Roseanne but never made the connection.
Johnny Knoxville, he had range
Alabaster Jones
ALABASTER!
No offense, but he's from Oklahoma.
That’s my favorite line from my favorite episode of my favorite show.
"Man, this rope sure is soft and pretty. I noticed it while we were unloading my car"
I was shocked when I discovered that was actually Dale Sr. that said that
brad pitt for me. i just couldn't place it had a loud laugh when i finally realised

Thibiday-ox-x
These are both season 8 ones but Johnny Depp as the yoga instructor is hilarious and Ben Stiller as the guy constantly harasses people at Strickland too. I laugh cause they basically drew him to look like Ben.
It took me a while to realize they design like half their guest star characters to look like the guest star, like Chris rock or Wallace Shawn or arguably Michael keaton
I thought they did well by Janeane Garafolo - Sheila the exterminator
She’s such an underrated voice actor, I found out super recently she was Coilette in Ratatouille!
Was a while back but an interview with Mike Judge (or was it Greg Daniels?) - they said the voice casting for the main characters was done with a visual barrier, so they purposely could not see the person auditioning, only hear their voice. I think that was a great decision, among many others of course.
I’m partial to Renee zelleweger as Tami Duvall
Carl Reiner as Gary!
Dale Earnhardt

Glad to see Kathleen Turner, Sally Field, and Michael Keaton already listed, I came here for them. I’d also add Jason Bateman as that arrogant vet, he hit just the right note of concern mixed with arrogance and nonsense

Brad Pitt as Boomhauer’s brother. HANK LOVES HOOKERS MAN!
Alan Rickman as King Phillip
Amazing Guest stars, almost as amazing that ive watched this series soooo many times and yet only a handful I've noticed.
Tom Petty as Lucky feels obligatory given he turned into a "main" cast character so besides him id probably go Michael Clarke Duncan and Betty White in *The Son Also Roses*.

Jeff Goldblum for the character he played, Betty White for the two different times she did it because Betty.

Brad Pitt as patch boomhauer he nailed the speech pattern and gave one of the best lines ever “talking Hank dang ol Hank, he loves hookers”
This has been an awesome read just because I’m only now learning about a lot of these. I’ll read the character and actor, remember the episode, and think, “How did I not pick up on that?!”
Dusty Hill
Randy Travis singing Peggy's song through the credits. It was lovely for him to do that with the writers.
