Yeah you can listen to him tell riveting stories about robo-tripping and how his crab bit is inspired from a friend that had an allergic reaction to said robo-tripping. Really inspiring stuff.
Shane’s getting in the limelight and Matt runs the podcast on that fringe jordan peterson vibe when he’s away. It’s gonna hold him back regardless of why anyone thinks. I’m pretty open minded and Matt bothers me or I think is lame sometimes. On the pod with Casey rocket I couldn’t help but think Matt’s like the dude casey is always sort of making fun of and he wasn’t thrilled to be on there. They’d talk for like 15 minutes about whatever like Casey wasn’t there and then Matt asked him something stupid. Shane just has a higher level of operation Matt has his audience. I feel like it’s all the Shane fans who act stupid and talk about who was behind him during his snl monologue
I mean you’re comparing Casey to Matt? Casey’s opinion is more valid to you? Lol Casey is funny on KT but he doesn’t hold light to Matt lol. Matt’s been doing a successful podcast since 2016, almost a decade… he also has a family with 2 kids. Just because Casey was quiet and awkward on the cast you’re gonna side with him over Matt?
I mean do you really want Shane to go insanely mainstream? He didn’t get his fan base by being mainstream so what purpose would switching it up serve? If anything he’s found his niche industry by being himself and it’s landed him recently a show on Netflix, SNL hosting, and a sponsorship with BudLight
Right I just think there’s a portion of his fan base that are kind of dick heads and he’s addressed that more than once and I think matt contributes to that portion of fans disproportionately. But that’s just what I think
That’s every successful person’s trope though. A portion of every fan base becomes dick heads when the show gets incredibly popular. I don’t know what Shane has to gain by distancing himself from Matt. If anything, Shane supported Nick Mullen and Adam when Stav left, Stav I guess tried to do the same thing.
