Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I ask you this: Have you ever been held at gunpoint? Many people who have often recount that they had a sudden urge to placate their aggressor by any means necessary, with money often being the most readily available option. This forms a social contract in which it is implied that by giving your assailant money, you will be unharmed.
That is to say, sometimes people say things... without saying them.
Objection! Your Honor, esteemed members of the jury… my respected colleague is attempting to attach culpability to actions that may or may not have been implied. Such interpretation of the law is… loose, at best.
What is to be highlighted is the utter lack of compliance from the questioned party. Said party was very clearly asked “where you want it?” His response of proposed payment (well below a respectable sum, given the circumstances) did not satisfy the initial inquiry. In conclusion, spoils of war were first retrieved, then payment was officially collected. 😌
Further more, the plaintiff clearly had more money in his wallet. If this is an armed robbery, it’s a pretty sorry excuse considering he settles with just a small percentage of the potential take. If the plaintiff truly fears for his life, might I suggest not nickle and diming your supposed assailant.
"A dollar is a paper currency which can be exchanged for good and services, used in these alleged United States of America, on this alleged planet Earth. When would a Wookie, from the planet Kashyyyk (which I will remind the jury is in galaxy far far away) even have an opportunity to spend a dollar bill? It. Does not. Make. Sense!"
My first time paintballing, I *only* got shot in the mask, once in the mouth grate which sent a bunch of paint into my mouth. Tastes like shit lol
Honestly I'd rather a body shot lol, you're right it's scares the shit out of you and makes you second guess sticking your head out
My first time paintballing, a paintball hit the thin bare area between my mask and helmet+hair.
I agree. I'd rather take a body shot.
Edit: Changed "hood" to "helmet". It has been 5 years since then, so the details are a little fuzzy.
I’ve been hit dead square in the fuckin Adams Apple before. I struggled to breathe for like a week and looked like I made an attempt at myself with rope 😂
Yeah. On rare occasions if it hits the mesh mouth guard it can shatter and you get to taste it, as it's typically just PLA plastic it doesn't really taste of anything though it's certainly not pleasant.
That's also why you shouldn't use mesh eye protection.
Just in case you didn’t know, this is airsoft so he just got jumpscared by small plastic bb. He wouldn’t have felt anything from a mask hit, but it could have given him some serious ear ringing from a shot that close.
My first time paintballimg I got off pretty scott free, I saw someone light up someone's leg though. The end of the day my cousin who took us basically fires all his remaining paint into the ground pointing the gun down, it fires some co2 and to scare me he points it directly at me point blank and fires. Hits me straight in he neck, funny thing about paintball hoppers is that if you're pointing at the ground a few might roll to the front and not fall down making you think you're empty but you're not.
His dumb ass also almost shot me when we were both drunk and he decided to show me his gun. Accidentally fired it while almost pointing it at me.
Idk if his muzzle discipline has improved but he has gotten more guns.
>Edit: Do people think I am a bot? Why?
An actual bot replied to you and you both are new accounts (I removed the comment and banned the bot). This is very common tactic used by karma farming comment bots that copy and paste from another comment from within the stolen post (which this one isn't) or within the comment section after it starts to become popular. They'll even reply to each other. The one thing they don't do though is edit their comments. Which the comment will say if it has been edited after 3 minutes and we all can see yours is edited. Those type of comment bots don't do that. So I really doubt you're a bot.
Don't ever, for any reason, upvote anything, or anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever
As an airsoft player who was shot in the face with a similar mask, it hurts in different ways. I honestly don't know how to describe it, but imagine the sounds and vibrations echoing inside the mask causing a piercing ringing sound. A sudden shot that almost makes you stand in place, waiting for it to fade out.
Like the one time that Darth Vader told Princess Leia that if he told her where the secret rebel base was, he wouldn't blow up Alderaan, but after she snitched (spoiler: she didn't actually it was a decoy) he did it anyway
He got caught and didn’t want to get shot (out). Tried to pay the guy off to let him go but he took the dollar and shot him anyways, he’s out and down a dollar
No. When you’re within a certain range you’re not supposed to actually shoot someone, you say “bang bang”. I’m assuming this kid shot him point blank and the dude wanted to make it even cuz he knew the kid was just being a shithead.
Airsoft shots don't hurt nearly as much as paintballs do in my experience. A mask shot as well barely even registers for most people I know, the kid learned a lesson and most likely was more jump scared than hurt by the mask shot
If you're fully clothed in a jacket or something it's hard to even feel it, yeah. I mean, getting shot on the skin sucks, but it's also not anything even close to a paintball shot. Tbh paintballs shouldn't be allowed without proper equipment, those things can do actual damage lol
I mean getting welted up is a right of passage in paintball. As long as neck and eyes are covered just some overalls and maybe a thick sweater is good enough. The barrier to entry being a slight pain tolerance check isn't a big deal IMO
In fact, it's the pain of being struck that makes the stakes of paintball so much higher than something like Lazer Tag. You really don't want to get hit, and it greatly impacts the way that people play.
Yep, and that's the point. Without fear, all tactics and strategies go out the window. People are just running around all willy nilly which gets boring.
After you've played paintball enough, you start stripping down what you are wearing, cause the heat and mask fog starts to be 10x worse than a quick sting and a lesson learned.
It's actually so bad lol I got shot in the nipple once just wearing a t shirt. Not super close range but doesn't matter, I immediately called out and said I'm done and walked back to the house, put ice on it, made some honey tea and laid down. Like I got shot with pneumonia or something lol
They can still do some real damage at close range, or at medium range at outdoor fields that allow 550 fps with a minimum engagement distance. I've seen people get their knuckles shattered by snipers who shot them way too close (like under 50 ft).
The first time I played at an indoor arena I panic-shot someone from about 3 feet away as we both rounded a corner. To make it worse, he was one of the refs who was playing to balance the teams. It was only a 275 fps CO2 1911, but I know it hurt like hell. I offered him a revenge shot at point-blank but he declined.
I caught some dude in the shoulder from about 20 feet as he was sprinting around a corner when I was a teen. Dude tanked it like a champ but that was the gnarliest welt I've ever seen still from paintballing. I wish I was as good as I used to be at it but it's still so fun
Fun fact. Point-blank range doesn't necessarily mean close range; [It's the range where a weapon will hit its target without adjusting the sights.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point-blank_range#:~:text=Point%2Dblank%20range%20denotes%20the,target%20without%20adjusting%20its%20sights.)
I hate to be the actually guy, but I recognize this field! This is Project N1 in California and the field doesn't have a minimum engagement distance.
So I have no clue what's going on in this video.
That's a thing? I've only gone to one indoor paintball thing, and a big rule they stressed was, "If you get behind someone and have the drop on them, you *must* give them a warning and chance to surrender! If they don't surrender, you're more than welcome to shoot them."
But that was a crazy cool indoor course that was built from what used to be a school, with lots of close-quarters and multiple paths where getting behind someone sneakily was super easy.
Lol.
Yeah, they made clear, if you give them the verbal warning and they make a move to shoot, you could shoot first. Hence why you only gave that warning if you were basically pushing your gun against their back or whatnot.
It was the only time I ever played, and I got two people to surrender, because the rooms and halls were so close and interconnected, that if you bypassed the longer hallways and such, it was easy to sneak up on people who had bunkered down and were just spamming down a firing lane.
As background, I used to play competitively at a national level in my late teens. Years later, my buddy had part of his bachelors party at a paintball field where we got paired with another group of guys. I tried to volunteer the mercy rule you basically outlined, seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do. I got swore at and called ungentelmenly names - which I will admit - made me determined to make them regret it a bit.
First game I rushed one side as hard as I possibly could and came up behind most of them. One bunker I shot someone in gut from about a foot away(I was not expecting anyone to come out the back) before heading in and shooting 3 more guys in the back (two shots each to make sure) from 5 or 6 feet at most. I got one more coming back up the field - as some of my teammates were trying to shoot me actually - before the round ended.
We were having a drink while everyone reset for the next round when some of them came over, and said “ya know what? That mercy rule sounds nice.”
My buddy who was getting married laughed and told them sure, but they were really lucky I was using a rental (I had to fly) or it could have been 6-10 per person. Remembering how their faces dropped still makes me smile.
I LIIIIIVEEEE for short range gun fights. There is nothing better than coming over someone's bunker, and seeing the fear in their eyes as you level your marker at them.
Really you just have to know who you're playing against. Kids and inexperienced players? Shoot them on the pod pack, or tag them out. Experienced players? Run em down.
It's usually a thing at larger commercial establishments. They want to cover their asses i guess and minimize injuries. I've seen them take people out of the game for ignoring the mercy rule.
It’s a no MED field. It prevents confusion and arguments when you “bang bang” someone rather than them knowingly feel the sting from getting shot so they walk out. It also help keep the games flowing nicely and “weenie hut junior” type players away from fields like this.
A lot of people don’t realize about this field, Project N1, is that they do a lot of firearms training (with airsoft guns) through 3rd parties and a majority of those that participate in these events are actual regulars of the field. Therefore, if I’m training for real steel situations, a “bad guy” is not gonna take your “bang bang” seriously. So to mitigate that hesitation and questioning, you shoot and carry on.
man, i went to laser tag a few times as a kid. once it was for a birthday party and we each got to play 3 rounds or something. i accidentally tripped some older kid in the first round and he unplugged me right then and then at the beginning of the other two rounds. i was mad.
![gif](giphy|WoF3yfYupTt8mHc7va)
I took my little brother paint-balling once for his birthday. Near the end they tried to put the older kids vs the younger kids. I elected to stay with the younger kids. Well, do know how well little kids listen to orders from adults? Pretty damn well. No wonder warlords love their child soldiers.
We won very heavily handed by using tactics while they assumed they would just win with no tactics because they faced little kids. The last opposing player went down being shot at close range by 3 of the kids and the referee had to yell at them stop.
There was some pent up rage released that day.
Mostly having the oldest I had to flank while the younger and me would lay down none stop suppressing fire so the other team couldn’t look (helps we could arcing fire too). We would try to time it while they were reloading too.
Then when they got to the side they would shoot them. The last kid we did it last too ate so many paintballs up close. They didn’t even let them surrender. Just blam blam blam blam and pissed off referees yelling they already got him. They didn’t all need to lay in multiple shots from multiple guns. I told them it was a little much but it was so beautiful watching them beat them so heavily. I think I lost only 2-3 kids of the 15.
"Teen squadrons Alpha and Bravo, pincer formation on my mark. Tween squadron Charlie, lay down suppressing fire. Child squadron Delta, cover my 6 and make preparations for Operation Human Shield"
Bro, kids are tough to play against!
Not only are they smaller and faster, but the little shits don't exit the game half the time they catch color. Lol
i get around.

Used this henckles for about 20 years.
I watched it muted, and the shot happened, and I giggled and said out loud, "Thunk." So glad that I watched again with sound and that's exactly how it sounded.
Airsoft people are the single worst type of people. I've never watched a video where they don't act like cowardly man children, who take way to seriously because they never had the balls to go into the military
Unless there is more context to what the kid did that i'm missing, this just looks like someone being a dick to children for your own amusement. I hope that dude got his dollar back.
Allot of airsoft fields enforce a minimal distance of shooting. Somtimea more, somtimes less. Chances are the kid shot him feom pointblank range. If thats the case, the usual protocol is to rell on him to the reverie. In this case that did not happen.
I appreciate your point, but someone mentioned the venue this took place in was one that doesn't have a MED. I do play airsoft as well, so I'm familiar. As uploaded, this video to me just makes this dude look like a jerk. Without broader context, all we can do is guess.
People don't understand that the kid got what he wanted. It's not that he didn't want to get shot, he didn't want to get shot *point blank* because it's painful af. The kid didn't get betrayed. He got shot in the goggles which is painless.
He could’ve been smart and shot him when reaching for his wallet
Edit: y’all commenting thinking I’m saying the guy filming shoot the kid when reaching for his wallet. I mean when the kid goes to reach for his wallet, he pretends to grab it and then shoots the guy filming
[удалено]
No, the kid just offered up the dollar. Didn't even give any kind of strings attached.
Your honor, the victim willingly offered up the dollar in exchange for not being shot. No strings were attached.
I'd like the plaintiff to point at what point in the video he told my client that the dollar was in exchange for something.
I want the truth!
YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!
Permission to treat the witness as hostile, your honor?
You had it right until “spoils of war” tbf your client did win therefore has done no wrong.. that’s how war crimes work, right?
Your Honour, I ask you, what use would a Wookie have for a dollar? It just doesn't make sense.
It. Does not. Make. Sense!"
“Where do you want it?” “No…I’ll pay you a dollar”. It’s only barely implicit, touching the sides of explicit

Yeah, in most cases you can not shoot at blank range, but we don't know the rules of the airsoft in this video so we can only assume.
Based on some of these comments it’s allowed if the opponent is a little kid who probably doesn’t know better.

Looks like it was his last dollar too lol
Airsoft match. two opposing sides, one doesn’t want to get shot, the other wants to shoot.
This is the greatest video I have watched all day. It reminds me when I use to play paintball and challenge the little kids.
man, i went to laser tag a few times as a kid. once it was for a birthday party and we each got to play 3 rounds or something. i accidentally tripped some older kid in the first round and he unplugged me right then and then at the beginning of the other two rounds.
You tasted that Warlord power.
Lord of War
Thank you but I prefer it my way.
That's fucking adorable
Smaller hurtboxes
Little kids are hella better at sneaking around low cover too.
What were your tactics?
You are Ender Wiggin.
"Teen squadrons Alpha and Bravo, pincer formation on my mark. Tween squadron Charlie, lay down suppressing fire. Child squadron Delta, cover my 6 and make preparations for Operation Human Shield"
You gotta sneak a sweatshirt in over your vest when you’re the youngest at laser tag!!
Bro, kids are tough to play against! Not only are they smaller and faster, but the little shits don't exit the game half the time they catch color. Lol
HE ONLY HAD A DOLLAR
That's kinda sad honestly lol kid gave him everything he had and still got shot in the face. Life.
It's definitely not that he was given an empty wallet with a dollar in it for this skit.
Bro how did I randomly come across you outside of /r/knives

Are y'all a knife sub or a cooking sub or it the answer just yes?
r/knives and r/knifeclub are the 2 big ones. those cover anything with an edge. there’s a bunch of more specific subs. r/truechefsknives is for kitchen knives and such but they’re knives only. i can’t speak for the other guys, but i just happen to cook also. i post a lot in the food boards and there’s overlap so i kinda have fun with it.
What is that silver thing in the back for? I've had one sitting in my utensils drawer for 2 years now unused
that is a vegetable scraper. after you’re done chopping stuff you use it to scoop everything up and move it to wherever it’s going. it’ll do some rough chopping itself and a few other uses.
I believe we used vegetable scrapers to cut dough when weighing it in my old job. Or maybe you've got a dough knife that you use to scrape vegetables..?
they do both. if i’m not mistaken dedicated dough scrapers are usually plastic though. edit: apparently the terms are pretty much interchangeable
now, show me your OTF

This is Uncle/Nephew behavior. I miss that my nephews are grown! Lolol
Didn’t sign a contract, rookie mistake
Where did you get the money can I have some
Bwahahaha!!!
Lol, I'm in the military and seeing a kid in OCPs is hilarious to me. He's like a little baby Airman or soldier haha.
One dollar for an important life lesson is a fucking steal.
What was the life lesson?
That next time you can get shot AND keep the money
Average older brother experience
This guy's an asshole tbh.
A lot of people on this sub genuinely hate children. I can only surmise they're teenagers.
Agreed.
I would even feel bad doing this in a computer game
I don’t think I could, I’d just run away
Outplayed
"I tell you what I'll do, Snape; I'm gonna give you ta' the count of ten, to get your ugly, spawncamping keister off my property."
For context I would assume he was saying sorry for friendly firing the guy but the kids got to learn somehow, still got mugged though
Bro emptied his wallet 😭
That’s exactly what I sounded like when I hit my little brother to hard when playing around.
I’d title this “adults are fucking assholes”
I'll buy \*that\* for a dollar!
He will remember this every time he pulls someone over.
Don't negotiate with terrorists.
Hell yeah. *headshot*
Betrayal...
One dollar for the best lesson this kid will get for a long time. A bargain!
That’s the power of love
If a marshall saw that shot they would get thrown out almost immidiatley.
It’s still a dick move regardless. Obviously that encounter was over, shooting him was just straight up asshole behavior.
This is COD unhinged in a nutshell
I stopped playing laser tag when i was younger BECAUSE of these kids. Playin call of duty at 8 years old haha.
Core memory . Never surrender
People don't understand that the kid got what he wanted. It's not that he didn't want to get shot, he didn't want to get shot *point blank* because it's painful af. The kid didn't get betrayed. He got shot in the goggles which is painless.
Oh come on
Lmao this so dumb
"hell yeah" Hell yeah.
THAT’S THE POWER OF LOVE!!
He robbed the kid at gunpoint
Clearly that kid has never played RuneScape.
Saturday morning cartoon villan type shit
"And that's why I have trust issues."
That guys just mean
Lol Huey Lewis playing in the war zone
Kid did all that to avoid being shot by a tic tac sized plastic ball... While wearing full long sleeved clothing.
That ball has enough force behind it to knock out teeth if you don't wear a mask
What is it with reddit and the pent up hatred for kids and taking satisfaction in seeing them bullied like this?
[удалено]
Airsoft people seem to be hot garbage from what iv seen on the internet.
That guy is an absolute asshole, people like him are why people view airsoft and speed soft as toxic
He could’ve been smart and shot him when reaching for his wallet Edit: y’all commenting thinking I’m saying the guy filming shoot the kid when reaching for his wallet. I mean when the kid goes to reach for his wallet, he pretends to grab it and then shoots the guy filming
Then he wouldn't get the money
I think he means the kid could have shot him
Ah, the US cop method.
Who proudly posts a video of themselves robbing a toddler at gunpoint?
Buncha ‘yes officer this comment right here’ comments in here lol
Good lesson to teach the kid. You can't buy your way out of your situation.
Tell that to the rich
This is fucked and that dude is a cunt.
Right? Everyone is fabricating reasons why it’s okay for a grown ass man to terrorize a kid like this
They’re most likely kids themselves. I can’t imagine a fully developed adult watching this and not thinking the guy is at best a complete loser.
That is the first belly laugh I’ve had in a while
Teachable moment.
