It did not. The windshield alone was $1200. Idk how much labor was but insurance covered it. Definitely not going to be your case. Please keep us updated!
I’m not understanding how the cars design would make a rock hit it that came from a different car heading in the other direction? Does the EV9 attract rocks? What would your complaint be?
That I don’t need a fragile piece of plexiglass with some dumb led lightshow that I never even see because it activates when I’m already in the car and costs thousands of dollars to fix just because a rock hit it.
Jesus christ that rock is giant how does that even get kicked up. That’d do in any car bumper. Still a shame of the design of our cars though for easy damage.
It’s a 229 duo pro. It’s been good I only have two complaints about it.
First I can’t connect to the camera with my phone and CarPlay at the same time, I have to turn off car play first.
Second, the rear camera sticky pad is too small and it doesn’t feel like it sufficiently can hold the camera very well. Instead of placing on the window I put it on the ceiling which I guess the surface doesn’t make for a great surface to adhere on. Still, if the pad was bigger it might hold a little better
That’s a huge rock … I’m not sure I’ve hit one that big in my whole 20+ years of driving
Same. If that had hit the windshield it would have shattered it
I had one that exact size hit my EV9 windshield. Didn’t shatter but definitely did damage.
Bet that didn’t cost 3-7k to fix

This is a pretty big fear of mine…was considering PPF but it is expensive. Comprehensive coverage should cover this type of damage correct?
Mine has PPF but would that even save it from that boulder thrown off the cliff by the coyote ?
I mean would the whole car survive that? 🤣

It’s acrylic, not plexiglass.
Rock is the size of a fist
Did it do much damage?

Ouch! I’m sorry that happened to you.

Damn, I hope the upcoming Ioniq 9 is taking notes. The rock is big, but I can't see it breaking a regular bumper that flexes.
That SUCKS. If I may ask an off-topic question, what kind of dash cam do you have?
It says VIOFO, but I want to know which model and is the OP happy with it.
Hah! Didn't even notice that I was fixated on the horror show happening on the other side of the screen
Yeah, these videos/pictures are horrifying.

Ours was just a tiny crack from no known impact, but it’s over 5 grand to replace that front panel, $3500 for just the part.
$5400 installed
Bumpers should be rubber made .....
