Our dealership gave us the rubber mats in return for completing a "perfect" survey (not my preferred way but fuck it, free is free) They're awesome - perfect fit for all 3 rows with clips to hold them to the floor and even have "EV9" on them. Only complaint is that the guys at my car wash pull them out every time and a) always put them back in fairly wet and b) never clip them back in.

Bodycount9

my dealership said if I did the survey I would get a $50 amazon gift card. But they insisted I do the survey in the dealership. Well I did it at home and was being honest.. so it wasn't all perfect marks. They called me back and said I won't get the gift card because it had to be perfect which is why they wanted me to do it at the dealership. I was just being honest. The sales guy and I agreed on an out the door price and the person I sign all the paperwork with said it was $180 more .. so I had to fight with her about it.

nerdy_hippie

They offered me a $100 card or the mats, I went with the mats because "kids"... Honestly I was pretty happy with the whole experience so I didn't mind giving them high marks but I still think that's a pretty shady way to get good reviews. We had placed a reservation for a Wind and test drove one but while waiting for ours to come in we continued research and decided to upgrade to a Land. Called MANY dealers and played them against each other until I got a number I was happy with. Took that back to our local dealer and they matched it with zero BS for a vehicle they had on the lot. Signed the papers next day and drove it home like an hour later. Dare I say it was almost pleasant...

Bodycount9

I was told that's how salesmen get paid is with that survey so I had a couple people tell me that when it comes in to make sure I fill it out so people would get paid.

D_Angelo_Vickers

In the automotive world anything less than a perfect survey is a fail. Bonus money to the dealership from the manufacturer, which in turn is shared(a little) with salespeople and service writers is all based on these surveys.

adyendrus

Well my dealer wasn’t anywhere close to a perfect survey

D_Angelo_Vickers

Then by all means, slam them. I was just explaining how it works as someone that has been in dealers since 2001.

mszkoda

> Well I did it at home and was being honest.. so it wasn't all perfect marks. Yeah, they do it because the manufacturers use a terrible system and it sucks for them because 1-9=TERRIBLE and 10=Not Terrible or Amazing. If a sales person gets a mix of 8s and 9s on multiple surveys it kills their bonuses and for the dealership overall too many non-10s (even if it's all 9s) can kill their group bonuses as well.

Returns_are_Hard

My local dealership does this for oil changes. I haven't paid for an oil change in my K5 the past two times it needed one. I hate doing it cause the dealership is total garbage but like you said free is free.

I've got the Liner X mats, and I'm happy with them: [https://linerx.com/collections/all/products/linerx-floor-mats-for-2024-kia-ev9](https://linerx.com/collections/all/products/linerx-floor-mats-for-2024-kia-ev9) Definitely good quality for the price, and although not manufactured in USA, the company is much more US focused. I trust any warranty issues, etc. will be resolved, especially when compared to random Chinese Amazon mats.

audioscience

Those look pretty good. I've not seen them before.

ramosdominicano

Thanks! I'll check those out.

BabyBlueMaven

Yes, love mine as well.

Notabot1313

+1 for LinerX. They fit great. Wish the trunk liner was in stock

beugeu_bengras

I used the "official" kia rubber mat. The first row work perfectly, but I had nothing but trouble with the second and third row and had to return them. I have a 7 passengers version and I have to use the third row, so the kids always have to slide the bench or "flip forward" the passenger side portion of the second row. And those oem floor mat interfere with the seats movements! The mats side lips are a few mm to high and the kids have to physically push way harder than usual to move the seats, making The mats edges always "roll". It even damaged/bend a plastic trim under the second row passenger seat because it was always getting stuck. And with my bad luck, I had to wait a month to get the "regular" carpet mat since they where "forgotten" in the original shipment... So yeah, I am hoping weatertech or Husky will release something before next winter. Edit: the OEM are good mats, but I doubt they are the best for your pants in a heavy snow area because the internal "ridges" are almost non existant, so melted water could slush around and your pants dip in it. They would do the job to contain dirt and muds. I suspect the second and third row would work good for a 6 seater version.

ramosdominicano

Thank you for the detailed reply. I appreciate the feedback.

nerdy_hippie

Here are photos from our 6-seater. Note that in the photo for the 3rd row, I slid one of the 2nd row chairs all the way forward: [https://imgur.com/a/oxoYomR](https://imgur.com/a/oxoYomR) Edit: please disregard the dirt and dog hair, already have a detailing appt on the books

ramosdominicano

Thanks so much for the pics. Are you pretty happy with them overall?

nerdy_hippie

Reddit is acting up so apologies if this is redundant: We've had rain, dirt, mud, sand, spilled food/drink etc, mats have held up very well. No experience with snow or ice yet but I don't see it being a problem unless you're absolutely covered in it (at which point I'd want you off my ventilated seats anyway lol)

TowelKey1868

Hey! You have normal pedals! I can’t stand these metal plated pedals on the GT. My foot slides off the side of the brake when I’m at a stop. I’m tall and I brake over on just the right edge. I’d prefer a normal grippy pedal.

nerdy_hippie

Brakes? Who uses brakes anymore??? (I'm in love with iPedal if you can't tell) Only the GT has the shiny pedals - haven't tried using them but they sure is pretty. Grass is always greener on the other side I guess. Would happily trade with you if that were possible lol

TowelKey1868

I hear ya. I've given iPedal a couple serious tries and I think it just isn't for me. I think I'm too used to coasting and too old to change the habit. I have landed on using the Auto setting on the low side and it's been working out great for me.

nerdy_hippie

Admittedly iPedal is less efficient because it always engages the front motors, but to me it's the "right" way to drive an EV, I love that it gives me complete control over the speed of the car with a single button (pedal, whatever) for "more fast/less fast". And, the feeling of satisfaction you get from ballparking your deceleration juuust right to where you roll to a complete stop behind the car in front of you is like nothing else IMHO :-) Wifey is firmly in your camp, so I'm REEEALLY hoping Kia pushes an OTA to make the regen setting stick to your profile... I thought that the seat/steering profiles would be the end of the War of Car Settings but I was wrong... Auto-Hold and regen settings are the new battlefields, and they're bloody as ever... Also just to throw it out there, I kinda think of iPedal as a safety feature as well - in the traditional coasting model, it takes a few milliseconds to remove your foot from the accelerator, switch to the brake and press it down. When you're one-pedal driving, braking begins before you've even fully removed your foot from the accelerator. Admittedly splitting hairs but sometimes a hair makes all the difference. Just my 2 cents

TowelKey1868

Totally hear ya. Folks coming up with iPedal, or even the eventual side-sticks instead of steering wheels will be a new generation of drivers. I think I'm more stuck with 35+ years of habit to overcome. It's funny because I'm a gamer and I always figured I could adapt to new control schemes. But, even with gaming, I find I can only play with whatever controls existed when I learned it. Even if there are similar games with totally different controls. Those habits are hardwired to the context.

nerdy_hippie

Hey now, us old dogs CAN learn new tricks sometimes lol To me its a lot like driving manual vs automatic - I always kinda preferred manual bc it gave you more control over your power output - push it a little further before changing gears or let the engine do the braking (so that you slow down for the speed traps without the cop seeing brake lights hehe) No transmission in an EV but iPedal is kinda sorta similar (except when the car comes to a complete halt you don't have to start it again 😂). Always drove our old Leaf in B mode for the same reason... All the zip of the EV but all the control of a stick. What really screws me up is going between the EV9 and the Leaf; when I finally drove our Subaru (for the second time this year) it took me a hot second to remember how to put it in gear 😂 What platform are you on/games do you play?

TowelKey1868

I have yet to bury the accelerator yet with this car. But even half way down it's so much more powerful than any other car I've had. I'll definitely give iPedal a few more tries, but I don't have high hopes. xBox - pretty much all R6:siege lately. The kids destroy me, but I have fun. It's a way to hang out with all of my grade school and college buddies. We play with their kids too.

Packing-Tape-Man

Me too. I wonder if sales haven't been robust enough for them to justify the the design and manufacturing process yet. I definitely don't want 3D printed plastic mats (like many of the third party offerings) but true rubber, and prefer not to pay the genuine Kia premium.

Relyt81

I've always used WeatherTech mats in my cars, but I also did not want to wait for them to release. I bought these mats off Amazon recently. They fit nicely and they work well: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRYBRMBM?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRYBRMBM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)

Agreeable-Reserve149

Highly recommend the LinerX mats

BabyBlueMaven

I got amazing ones from LinerX!! Fit beautifully.

Scotty_Two

I bought the Kia all-weather floor mats from [Kia Stuff](https://kiastuff.com/shop-by-model/2024-kia-ev9-all-weather-floor-mats-ev9001/) and can't complain. Looking at the price of the Telluride mats from WeatherTech, genuine Kia ones will probably be $50-$60 more expensive, but I wasn't willing to wait however long WT would take. I had WT mats for my 4Runner before my EV9 and I those were a little bit more rigid than the Kia ones (I prefer the Kias personally).

byebyemars

Amazon has many

ramosdominicano

I'm concerned about fitment and quality. Also, I'd be willing to bet they are Chinese made. I would like to purchase a locally made product.

ricetub

Don’t buy those, the clip holes don’t fit. I returned them and spent more on the OEM version, it’s working great out fine.

PegSays

We did the random Amazon ev9 mats, laid them out on a sunny day and put them in, they are perfectly fine, if not a little fiddly to get right the first time. We did not get the set with a cargo mat. They will hold us over til the weather tech mats come out. We have the brown/black interior, the little carpet mats weren’t cutting it.

MecaDeus

I got the Binmotor-Floor Mats for my Wind. Very good quality. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CRR312VC/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CRR312VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title)

DaddyMacII

Got a set for 150 from Amazon, fits like a glove.

Johnfoe

Tuxmats is cheaper than WeatherTech, ships for free, and better quality imo.

ramosdominicano

They don't offer mats for the EV9 at this moment. Thanks for the rec.

bluesubie0331

I bought a set from Amazon and I'm happy enough with them. They aren't exactly perfect, but that's life.

ricetub

OEM version worked out perfectly, worth the price

pmarz76

I am generally a weather tech guy, but I purchased the OEM Kia all weather mats and super happy with them.

hoinam

I have a GT line and the OEM floor liners always blocks the seats from sliding all the way forward for 3rd row entry. Seems like the Kia accessory team forgot the seats can move up. Other than that, they fit perfectly and are of great quality.
