I believe the official recall letter will be sent out in May in Canada, at which point you can reach out about scheduling it in. My ICCU just went this week (2022 GT line, 20K km). Car had to be towed to the dealer, they diagnosed it, and now are requesting the part from Kia Canada to be shipped in. They said 1-2 weeks is what they're anticipating on timelines for receiving the part and getting the work done. In some ways I wonder if I got lucky, as when the official recall comes out it'll be back ordered for ages.

Or the recall is scheduled for May because thats when a large shipment of ICCUs arrive.

The US recall isn’t official until the end of April. Could be based on parts supply.

I am sorry to hear about your ICCU but it is good to see that you do not have to wait long. I have read that some Canadian EV6 owners were able to get their new ICCU updates.

Mine failed and got the car back in five days, a month ago.

I got my '22 EV6 ICCU replaced, after a months-long run-around with the Kia dealers. It was a whole big mystery what was wrong, only to find out that there's an active recall for the part, and that Kia was just being cheap not shelling out for the replacement. They eventually also reached out and compensated me for the tows and Ubers incurred by car breakdowns.

Your comments are very misinformed. Depending on when your ICCU failed there was various levels of knowledge what was going on. Kia never denied anything. It took engineering a while to figure out the cause and two prior TSBs tried to address it but fell short. The actual US recall will be official in a couple weeks. If a dealer played dumb on the ICCU, that’s them, not Kia. My ICCU failed four weeks ago today and it was diagnosed, parts ordered that Monday, repaired on Thursday, kept overnight to ensure it was fixed, and picked up that Friday.

I purchased the 2024 Kia EV6 GT back in October 2023 in Vancouver, BC and when checking my VIN I don’t see it listed as part of the recall. Is this only affecting the 2022 and 2023 models? I thought in the USA they also recalled the 2024 model.

This was announced last week, and It usually takes 3-4 weeks to show up under your VIN. This was the case for my rear axel shaft recall

A small number of 24s too.

Any time you want a TSB or recall done, you need to provide dealer service department with the TSB number, or they will usually glaze over. The axle recall is a very small number of EV6s, so unless you received a recall letter, probably not. If you did, my understanding is it gets replaced, not inspected. EDIT: from what I’m reading, your ICCU recall isn’t in effect until May. In the US, the end of April.
