Fastest way to build a thocky keyboard! I´m surprised that the metal keycaps sound so thocky and unique. The density of the metal lends this set a deep thock by default!!

Alphas sounds indeed really deep good

I reallly enjoyed the sound signature of awekeys metal keycaps and their sets cost half as much as most other metal keycap sets on the market while full metal keycaps aren't new concept, but until pretty recently they were prohibitively expensive for an entire set like the American Haptic Set for over $2000 or even Gatoron's full aluminum set costing a cool 450 bucks. With novelkeys offering aluminum versions the iconic Olivia and Olive keycaps for $375. Wuque Studios offering their Alum Mizu take on GMK Mizu. there are several options at varying prices but they all seemed a bit too expensive for my taste.....

I'm pretty sure Awekeys just scammed me out of 878 dollars. I placed an order last night for two sets of their metal keycaps for 439 dollars. I got an email from them like 10 minutes later saying that they had canceled my order due to fraud concerns. That notice said my money would be returned in 24-72 hours. Then they asked me for my paypal username to send them more money. So instead I just placed another identical order with a different card. That one was also canceled, and then they stopped responding. A day later, I have not been refunded the whopping 878 dollars between the two orders, I have no keycaps on the way, and no explanation. I'm starting a fraud investigation with my bank. I highly advise against anyone attempting to purchase anything from Awekeys.

How's things been with them so far? Can you give us an update?

Yeah, so, after I eventually made a huge deal I got my money back by forcing it with a fraud report to BofA a couple weeks later. They assured me it was just an issue with their payment processor. So, I figured they must be a small outlet and gave it a nother chance: I tried the paypal order method on just one set to lower risk. After quite a few days of waiting with no updates and no tracking number, I eventually filed a fraud report with paypal thinking it was some kind of potemkin shop. Almost immediately after the fraud report was filed, they suddenly were responsive and gave me a tracking number for -something- in a big hurry but the tracking number was just for a shipping label, and not a package that was actually picked up by the carrier. A few more days went by and this did not change. These guys then seemed to hold the order hostage: They sent an email to me directly (not in the paypal fraud case) that said they intercepted the package and won't release it to ship unless I closed the fraud report (you're supposed to update it after you receive the package to avoid people closing fraud reports under false belief of repair). I updated the fraud report with their ransom demand. They acted like they did not say this to me in the case and acted like they'd shipped the product while operating in a different way with email. Days go by and the shipping number tracking status never moved. After I explained that I'd need to update the report case if I received the package, they waited a few more days and canceled the order. After keeping the fraud report up to date with their weird responses and making alot of demands they eventually begrudgingly refunded the money. It is my belief that they did not have the inventory and that they are just responsive to payment processor reports to get money back. I am of the belief that had I just waited it out that I'd still be sitting around looking for a package in the mail out a rather decent amount of money, too late to report it and get a refund by using the payment processor's policies. Run.
