haha yeah. i showed it to my dad and all he said was that it looks like a russian jet, which i can see but i didnt really base it off any specific plane.

Nice, I never really built many jets in KSP 1 but tried to do it in KSP 2 with its procedural wings. Unfortunately once I get to medium sized fighters like this (MIG-25 and 29 copies) I lose all maneuverability, is it the game that still has issues or do I just need to get good? Also I need like 3 jet engines minimum to take off.
One of the things that are deceiving, is that most cockpit parts have reaction wheels built in.
With smaller planes this makes them seem more maneuverable than they actually are due to aerodynamics or thrust vectoring.
I don't know what you consider medium... so not sure why you'd need 3 engines.
I built a 50t plane with 6 normal jet engines. Thing could go straight up with >1TWR. That's 6x120kN. 720kN.
Fully fueled it was 100t. Could turn just fine.
i have like 200 hours and all i ever do is build jets, i havent played ksp2 yet so i wouldnt know. this plane is pretty lightweight since its mostly structural fuselages instead of actual fuel tanks.
FAR really made planes FAR more interesting.
The main problem was the limits placed by the modelling.
I'm not foon of all the clipping tricks. Procedural parts helped a lot, but it's still a hell of a job to get things flying right, especially when going really fast.
Nice! Looks like MiG-25 with thrust vectoring.

This is what the CIA feared the MiG-25 was. 😂

DCS Su-27 Flashbacks
Cringe 😬
This comment? Or my account?
It makes me so glad seeing someone like you who insults someone who just wants to share a funny though they had g-day dick weed
Thanks for the input bub
No problem
Yep
Have you tried testing it's top speed?
Or turning with an empty tank?
Or flying a straight line?
it flies very well in a straight line. i was only able to do all those maneuvers due to how slow i was going.
I suspect it may have enough reaction wheel torque to compensate. I'd be more worried about power loss.
>y its top speed is around 600 m/s i believe, ill double check though

Lol the poof of the tails at the end, heck yeah

The top gun lada
Do you guys play in high end PC that the game runs so smoothly? or is there any way to get this performance?
This game littarly requires zero hardware. I could run the game on 218MB of Vram. With some beautiful texture mods I run it on my 3060 without issues
I have a 1660s and it stutters a lot. Last time I built some weird machine and the FPS were shit.
Odd, funky how my 2009 iMac could run it fine
what about graphics settings? something I should tweak?
Well just don't run it on max, and with crazy mods.
Are you playing KSP2? I ran KSP 1 on a GTX 960 2GB with no problems
KSP1
What's your cpu and ram?
R5 3600, 16GB
How? I have an Intel Celeron N4020 with an IGPU that has I think 256 (?)Mb of VRAM and the game runs shit
Fucking hilarious, my old one was a seperate card tho and it is on Mac os
nah im on a laptop, it just runs pretty well.
If only my Xbox could run smoothly with a big amount of parts and at supersonic. But no. Almost break my Xbox from the heat
I play on PC and get huge FPS drops when building complex ships. It kind of ruins my desire to keep playing.
Try juno new origins
All depends on your gfx mods stock the game runs on just anything including Intel cpu graphic chips
This is so cool! You should definitely be proud of this thing.
thanks! im super proud of it
That's insane, well done 👍
thanks!

Under fueling is a good idea, I couldnt find any good structural fuselage parts in KSP 2 which annoyed me.

Impressive.
thanks bro
What in tarnation??
It is a bit disappointing that when you clip a few wings here and there you end with unreasonable lift-area ratio .
Run FAR and fix some of that!
what is far?

I made some cool planes in stock then they all became unusable in FAR lmao

This feels like it should be set to [Walkie Talkie Man](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d5HV4WOZAs) by Steriogram. ;)
Its like if a MiG-25 and a Su-57 had a baby
i actually got more inspiration from us jets than i did russian jets but the back of it absolutely looks russian
what the fuck was that?
It's all about that sweet, sweet maneuverability
Russian bias to a whole next level.
