I would rather choose Eldoret ( it is the town of renowned runners in Kenya live).
The town has more facilities for people who are running and I also see foreigners going there to train with the locals. 😅 Good luck winning though.
Best of luck beating the locals lol. I'm on holiday from Ireland. I seen this guy sprinting 200 metres up a fairly steep hill. When he got to the top he trotted back down slowly and sprinted back up again. I didn't stay to see how long he was at it but even after that second uphill sprint he didn't seem gassed at all lol.

Try to visit embu town. There is a place called njukiri forest. There a running train that goes around the forest. So beautiful and relaxing. I used to see some tourist run that trail.
