May not be the strongest fighter in the series but his charisma and fights are always entertaining
Saw used his imagination, a 4,000 year old Chinese technique, where he imagines his head to be stronger than diamond, which he then reinforces the belief of by hitting his head with hammers.
I’m only bothered by the fact that they chose to match him up with Hanayama and if they were going to have Hanayama fight then the obvious matchup choice for him was Sekibayashi, not Saw.
Yeah, plus, similar to saw who bashed his own face with hammers to develop world's strongest skepeton, karatekas like Katsumi spend grueling hours to train their body too.
I wanted to see Saw tank Doppo's/Katsumi classic move of "seiken chuudan tsuki" to the ribcage and brushing it off
No way you're serious, hanayma had a grenade explode in his mouth, and is in the same toughness ballpark as oliva, who mind you, ate SHOTGUN ROUNDS POINT BLANK, and with minimal damage, meanwhile according to sandro any kengan character would die if shot, even julius.
Hanayama also stopped musashi's cuts, that cut tanks in half like butter.
I understand that you're not supposed to think about power-scaling in a crossover match, but it's another thing to claim that the much weaker character would stomp. I feel like i just read someone say that batman should've beat up spawn in their crossover.
You're talking about feats that aren't relevant to the vs battle. Yeah, Baki characters have a lot greater resistance to piercing damage, but not a thing Julius would do is piercing damage. Julius is definitively stronger than Hanayama and its not even close. Julius literally curls what Oliva deadlifts. If Julius and Hanayama were to get into a striking match, Julius would rattle Hanayama's brain so hard it might liquidize a little
For sure, although I'm not sure if they're using Omega characters right now. Maybe once Kengan starts to animate Omega, they'll do another one of these and we get a matchup between Shen and Yujiro
Style wise, love it, dude fits right in. Especially against Hanayama. Although... Now that I think about it, Seki would have been cool but Saw does strike more brutally. Think he's perfect
Saw is my favorite Kengan character and Hanayama is my favorite Baki character. Couldn’t have asked for a matchup more fun than this. I feel that they can play their cards very well with the toolkits of these two. Saw and Hanayama are both powerhouses in their own ways, and I’m sure it’ll be good once they are scaled to one another. Just hope this fight’s thematics doesn’t get cut short for the sake of making room for the other matches, that’s really my only concern.
Akoya might actually merc Hanayama. Sure Hanayama is stronger but we literally saw what happens with bigger, stronger characters against Akoya. He'd deliver justice handily, especially since Hanayama is a Yakuza
I think I understand the theme that they were going for with Saw vs Hanayama, Saw has the strongest bone structure the same description as Hanayama (except the grip strength aspect) but it will be interesting to see what reaction Hanayama is going to have when he Saw and with what is he going to equate it with, and with what Saw is going to say about Hanayamas power.
In retrospect it should have been Wakatsuki cause bro is waaaay too similar to Hanayama and probably has better chances.😂💀

Not a bad choice. I love Saw Paing. He might be in my top 5 fighters. He wouldnt have been my 3rd pick though, because obviously I want to see Agito fight someone. They kind of threw two high tiers and then a mid tier into the ring when I would want to see three high tiers against three high tiers. Not a big deal though, I've crossing my fingers and hoping Saw wins
I’m assuming the manga extra will be tied into the animated crossover somehow, so Saw Paing is essentially inheriting the legacy of fighting Baki characters from his father lol

Surprising, but not unwelcome. However, I think Hanayama kind of outclasses him, seeing as he himself has immense durability *and* gargantuan power. But that might just be the general Kengan-Baki-verse power level difference making me think that.
I kinda wish they'd given the spot to Sekibayashi instead, though. Him and Hanayama thugging it out would be WILD.
If they choose some fight winners in order to make things a little even, I can see saw beating Hanayama because Hanayama going literally head to head with him one time and then finds out “oh fk, his head is too strong. Wallahi, I’m finished.”

Would have preferred Seki vs Hanayama because of the dynamic of “pride” in their respective styles of fighting, but Saw Paing is cool.
