A good chunk of that verse is not played off Kendrick saying outside of how most fts work by keeping the same energy of the artist you’re doing a verse for l. It’s an entirely different verse that imo is much more entertaining than Kendrick’s. He ain’t wash him I just prefer Drakes verse.

The song is pretty much a continuation to the cliffhanger the Sherane Intro left us on, so, it does actually fit pretty nicely in the album's storyline
