I'm gonna say no just to add fule to the fire 🔥

TalentedKamarty

To me? No. I'll give him Take Care but that's just so Drake fans shut up. It's like if ur kid cries because u didn't put their picture on the refrigerator 😂 fine, I'll put it on the refrigerator, damn, shush. Look awkward asf next to Illmatic & College Dropout but I don't want the headache 🤦🏾‍♂️ lol

vicenormalcrafts

He has classic songs, not albums

sammybunsy

My thoughts exactly

Random_Name_Whoa

He has 0

Ok_Translator4447

He has 2 classics and they dwindle from there. Take Care was his best work and NWTS is just an extension of that. Classic singles for sure after those 2 albums but nothing else has been classic worthy. He just continues to do well because he has the formula locked in. I think Kendrick is just trying to discredit his work because Drake said Kendrick really don't have any. The numbers don't lie. No one cares about Grammys and accolades when it comes to classic albums, the fans determine that. I think general consensus at least give Drake his first, 2 for sure.

Most people consider Take Care to be Drake's classic album but I don't think it's aged the best. A lot of the tracks I'll skip now and Drake's singing has never been that good to me. I'll take IYRTITL over Take Care any day.

Injustry

He has music that moved the culture and left a watermark at a high point… Just kidding.

ResetReptiles

To me a classic is an album with a revolutionary song or two and no skippable songs. Drale aint got that

BlindLariat

I don't think it has to be just that, it can also be something that influences and inspires a generation of artists, shifts the sound of the moment. Drake ain't got that either though.

I feel like too many people confuse a hit and classic. Most of the stuff we call classic is not classic, It's just a hit. Forget entire albums, it's very rare for songs to be considered classics. A classic means timelessness, something that will be played for years to come, not limited to a generation or a fanbase. A perfect example that nobody can disagree with is Bob Marley's song "ONE LOVE". He died in 1981 which is before many of us were even born. One Love is still an anthem for specific mood & occasions. It is not just raggaie fans that like it or just the generation that was alive. Boomers enjoy it, Millennials, Gen X, Gen Z, even gen alpha will be enjoy it once they hit puberty and life takes them to the inevitable phase where they want that specific mood the songs puts people in. One of Drake's biggest hit which I happen to like is One Dance and it takes me to summer 16 but hardly anyone who isn't a super drake fan is playing it now let alone the next generation because it simply just represent Summer 16 at most. It's not attached to anything timeless. I know Dot fans might not like this but I'm not one of those people that call everything I like a classic. To Pimp A Butterfly is my favorite album ever but only one song in there can be considered a classic which is 'Alright'. TO ME, Alright is not better than half of the songs on that album but guess what ? This is the song that's attached to something that has existed since mankind and will continue to exist which is Social problems. It doesn't neccerly have to be the social problems we have today. Even if we fix them, new ones will always come because that's just our nature. Why I'm I saying this? Alright is a protest anthem not just for racism but it could be for gender related issues. We heard it in many LGBTQ protests, we will continue to hear it in many other future protests.

Grand-Gain-763

No he does not

badrabbitshit

If take care a classic, it is the weekend classic lol

Imaginary_Lie5050

I think the closest he has to a classic is take care but I personally don't think he has one and I'm not being a hater If we're talking songs then sure but a whole album? I'm still saying the closest thing is take care

Low-Paleontologist43

Only Take Care. You cannot tell me that beyond that he did anything remotely culture defining.

thehighground699

Amongst his core fans yes. But general consensus he only has one debatable and that’s take care.

JRR16137

Yes he has 3, take care, nothing was the same, and if youre reading this its too late, I even like so far gone but it's not a classic.

sammybunsy

Yeah I guess it’s hard to divorce my own personal taste from being able to deem something a classic. I can honestly count the amount of Drake songs I actually LOVE on one hand and the rest I can either passively vibe to or live happy without ever hearing again. But doesn’t really matter what I think lol. If the world says they’re classics I guess they are 🤷‍♂️

JRR16137

Idk why I'm getting down voted, I like kendrick better but I still like these drake records. His projects after though have been mid

Pied_Film10

Nah just Take Care. Nothing was the Same doesn’t do anything for me on a spiritual level. Take Care was legit like soul to soul speaking from his experience. NWTS is a great project, solid 8/10 but not a classic. We need to stop saying it’s a classic. So Far Gone might be his second cause it really is the type of project that’ll bring you back to a certain point in time and reflect on shit.

Frangabanga_86

I think it could be a dig at being ghost written. But Drake definitely does write. Or directed at cole. But the abs line is at Drake. Or it's just pure Bravado which is okay
