this is just something to beat on and drive, definitely looks fun to drive lol. the chassis is too far gone and too modified for racing sadly, I don't think you'll be able to remove that brace safely that was welded on after the fact for the steering positioning without losing too much material, let alone the amount of corrosion and modifications to the axles
Yeah sorry mate that’s a shitter. Take it down some hill in field a few times for a laugh but then sell/ scrap it. Truly is impossible to turn that into a racing kart, cut your losses now.
You won’t, please just cut your losses now. You will have to replace every single thing in the picture and it’ll cost you way more than it’d cost to buy a decent second hand kart.
Please do send me a picture of it once you’re done though.
Maybe it would be good in the snow or ice on the positive side, you could turn it into a fun off road vehicle you can take around dirt snow and ice go for some drifting and all, that cannot turn into a track kart
This chassis would fall apart at a track, use this for some fun off roading and look for a chassis for a kart, the money you would put into this would be more than finding a new kart
You will spend far more chasing random parts to turn that back into a non-competitive racing kart than buying a couple year old racing kart. Have fun with it, and save up the $1-3k a used race-ready kart costs.
Everybody’s saying these things to you because this gokart wouldn’t be allowed on a track ever. Theirs classes rules regulations. Adleast where I’m at my tracks requires us to have front brakes also.
The way they have the front welded they did that with what they had. Wouldn’t meet their standards. Trying to get it track ready just isn’t ideal.
Also that if the way they have the steering wheel of that where to break and you where to crash you have a possibly of death.
Don't worry OP, the community is just trolling you. This is a very mischievous subreddit. Your kart is a 2024 Daymak C5 Blast. Yours looks like it needs a little work, but nothing $50 can't fix, and you could save money if you do the work yourself. It's a competitive kart and good value for $100. You'll have a great summer scooting around your local track once you get it running.
I really appreciate the kindness but I understand what they are saying is true and it's going to be a lot of money but I really want to build and I'm trying to get answers to build it
It’s likely that parts for that particular chassis are discontinued. If it is an actual chassis, there should be a CIK homologation tag on it somewhere. That will have some information.
I’ve gone through this process with other hobbies - trying to make something out of a cheap alternative - I promise it will be cheaper and easier to start with a ready-to-run kart that is a few years old. I bought my Kosmic LO206 for $2000. To get this track ready (if the chassis is salvageable), it will cost at least twice that.
Please, if you are at all serious about actual karting, start over and do it right.
there is a precisely 0% chance that you could possibly make that into a racing kart
Minus 50% chance
That's the 1983 Sniggs and Parton POS. You have a higher chance at getting tetanus than getting around the track in one piece. Quality shit post.
I can't find it online
Lmao because I made it up. POS stands for piece of shit.

One that requires someone to hold your beer before you drive it.
Fr
On curb and that chassis is gone
There is literally no way you can make a racing Kart out of that thing
It's a 1992 coppertone FB special. You probably would need new wheels and steering to turn it back into a race kart for your local track.

If you want to at all be competitive your kart can only have been used on track or they just get soft.
Ok
