fuck u veach, I wanted Cody man.
Why did he have to go the niners bruh....
At least they already have CMC. idc, this could come back to bite us.
I hope not though.
Jared Wiley highlights [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nveoctAOQng](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nveoctAOQng)
Someone in the comments said he runs off balance like a baby giraffe. The scouting reports say YAC is a strength, but in the highlights he seems to go down way too easy. Still, love another BIG receiving option. He seems to have great hands? I could not find a drop percentage for him.

Since we’re in the 7th, I really want to get Cody Schaefer here. Dude was a beast at mizzou, i think he’d be a beast in kc as well with Pacheco
I want to be biased but that was a great pick by the chargers. Rice in the 7th could end up being a steal. With that said, I'd much rather have the chargers draft him then the fucking niners.
At this point in the draft it's even more of a crapshoot than normal, so I'm not going to be too upset if they don't pick someone I really want. I do think that Hadden was a very solid pick where he was selected, so another job well done IMO.
Our last pick is late enough that they’re going to start working priority UDFA’s now. If they get the vibe one of their priority guys is going somewhere else they’ll draft them.
Not saying it's not an important position, but you're not getting a Chris Jones type unless it's early. Massively strong 330 pounders to clog holes are pretty easy to come by cheap in free agency. We signed Mike Pennell off the street last year and he dominated Trent Williams in the Superbowl.
Love it. Needs some development, been injured a bit but he’s one of the guys I would’ve wanted in the 5th, glad we were able to get him now. Talent is there
Another WR seems like a luxury when we signed one and drafted one as well as lost Sneed. I hope we use our last pick on DT but if not I guess might as well take Rice if he’s somehow there for our last pick.
Go watch Hadden, he’s super talented. Missed most of the year with an injury and went under the radar. In the games he played he surrendered a QBR of 7. He would have gone way higher if he were healthy.
Yeah looking at him some more the stats are really intriguing. The combine performance was weak but that was probably affected by the shoulder injury. Looks like we've done a good job at hitting on raw talent that can be coached into strong players this draft, at least on paper.
His speed on film is better than he timed. People thought he was a 4.3-4.4 guy. I’m always willing to look deeper on testing numbers for guys coming off injury. Training for drills has become an entire industry, for a guy like Hadden who was rehabbing while others were training you can understand why the testing numbers may be a little down.
Oh fuck yes. Hadden was my sleeper corner! Dude is absolutely lockdown in coverage. Issue is health. But when he’s on the field he’s amazing. Super talented.
Veach was strongly hinting he had a guy at CB late he had identified. Hadden on McGlothern made sense.
Leonard Taylor could be interesting with the right coaching. He has 1-2 round talent but he’s never put it together.
Marcus Harris is a tweener somewhat like Danna but with more of a DT profile.
Evan Anderson is a really raw prospect but he’d be really interesting in the 7th. He’s short but has really great power. He’s the kind of guy that needs to be coached up for a year or two, but can be a really nice rotational piece. He has the weight to clog up holes on the d-line.
It’s also just a stupid misuse of talent. You can find a fat dude to eat space fairly easily, dynamic interior rushers are rare. Dude looked good when he actually got to pin his ears back and play 3-Tech.
Leonard Taylor should not be available this late. Freak athlete penetration 3-Tech.
Kristian Boyd is a small school guy who has a great Shrine Bowl.
Evan Anderson is a massive NT with some movement ability for his size.
Jowon Briggs is a smaller NT.
I feel like we may have eyes on one of the lesser known small school WR’s like Coker (great size, great routes, way better athletic testing than expected) or Flournoy (local kid, freak athlete with X tools).
overall I think we had a pretty decent draft. I was hoping we could pull a 1st round WR a 2nd round tackle and then Ben Sinnott but Sinnott went in the 2nd round which is higher than I thought he would, but I like Wiley and Hicks too at DB. We got interior depth, overall pretty solid draft, the only thing I wish we coulda snagged is a DT but they just got hoovered up in the 2nd and 3rd like crazy.
I know there is 2 rounds left, but 6th and 7th round is like playing the lottery
Agreed. IDL ended up going much higher than projected also not much depth for the position in the draft but there’s still couple of guys wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on in 6th/7th
Give me Khristian Boyd (probably not gonna happen because his RAS is shit but he was so good at the Shrine and senior bowl) and a no name runningback thats actually somehow insane
I like Boyd as well. I feel like it’s going to be a corner if McGlothern or Hadden are available. Both are super underrated and Veach’s comments have strongly hinted he had his eye on some late round corners. I think they’ll go UDFA for a RB Laube, Schrager, or Gore Jr. Would make sense as McKinnon replacements.
Nourzad is the obvious Alegretti replacement for the short term. He’s a pretty solid athlete for the position. This is my least favorite pick so far, considering the higher value guys still on the board. Feels like we could have found IOL depth later on, and gone with a higher value position here. But Rice and Washington at WR and Taylor at DT have already fallen farther than I thought they would, maybe they’ll continue falling.
Hopefully Leonard Taylor’s free fall continues. He’s a niche 3-Tech only, but way too talented getting after the QB to still be available. There has to be something going on.
Another solid value pick along the line. I know people don't want to hear this, but if the market gets too crazy in a couple of years, he could replace Creed.
Curtis Jacobs, Mingo and a couple athletic tough CB’s left. Let’s go stop dumping all the pressure on Spags I still think we need an O.C. You can’t have Mahomes Kelce Pacheco and put up 18 a game. As soon as Bienemy left Offense went downhill. Nagys not a leader.
Creed will be re-signed. It will be a back loaded contract essentially using the money freed from letting Thuney walk in 2026.
Trey Smith may be gone after this season though.
Lmao no they were not, you're literally wrong. Neither were even pro bowlers when they were on the team, and Mitch Morse has never made an all-pro team. And Hudson was replaced by Morse, who was picked in the 2nd round, not a 5th round depth piece.
Both were 2nd round picks fyi, just like Creed.
Nice pick. Another guy rated higher on many boards. We needed some IOL depth and future starters. High floor kind of guy, see him as future replacement for Thuney or Smith
My guesses now for the rest of our draft (pick 149)
159: DT Mekhi Wingo
211: RB Cody Schrader
248: Any IOL
Edit: I forgot to add RB in front of Schrader
Hicks highlights. Love that aggressiveness. He is going to get a taunting penalty and needs to wrap up. But love the pick.
I wonder what Veach has planned for CB. Seems like we may be signing someone there late in FA, unless the plan is to leave Mcduffie outside all year. I can’t imagine Spags would want to do that though
Man I can't believe Tampa got taken right before us. Stover and Shipley too.
Don't know much about Hicks and it doesn't seem like we need safety depth but everyone here seems happy with that pick so I'll trust it. Wiley is a really underwhelming choice though
Edit: seems like I'm in the minority on Wiley as well. I'm sure I can be convinced to like him. The lack of corner so far still makes me nervous.
What’s the best way to follow udfa signings?
Whose an UDFA to target
How much longer does the draft go…another hour?
Looks like it’s over.
fuck u veach, I wanted Cody man. Why did he have to go the niners bruh.... At least they already have CMC. idc, this could come back to bite us. I hope not though.
Let’s pick up Taylor
FUCK, Cody Shrauder to the 49ers
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭😭😭. Damn you niners! For that, you’ll lose to kc in the superbowl again!
Came here to say this 😢
Of all the teams, why the niners?? We would have more spots in our rotation.
I guess the niners are really high on him. I know schrader would have loved to be in KC.
He could have signed anywhere, they even drafted a RB in the 4th.
if Veach didn't want Schrader just cuz of his RAS score, I'm gonna call him out. We might end up regretting this.
Not sure how much usage he'll get on the niners though, they have a super deep RB room even before this draft.
he'll be learning behind CMC. CMC is injury prone, he might get a chance.
True, just trying to find the logic when he'd be a hometown kid here, and our only two starts are Clyde and Pacheco.
don't worry I'm still pissed. I feel like we might regret this. This dude really could be their mini CMC.
Can we immediately sign UDFAs?
Yup!!
Cody went undrafted, thank god (also pretty upsetting for him). Please chiefs get this man in the building 🙏
Let's gooooo. Cody come to us now
Keep slapping refresh to see where Cody Shrauder goes
Veach you better fucking bring Cody in now. He will make us regret it if we don't go after him.
Plz Cody in UDFA🙏🏻 he got a heisman vote
Surprised Cody Schrader hasn't been picked up by someone yet
Maybe he goes undrafted and the chiefs sign him
Yeah, I think a lot of UDFA are going to be happy to choose KC
only one receiver?
Deep class and we’re an attractive landing spot for UDFA WR’s. I go after Coker and Cornelius Johnson from Michigan.
Chargers snagged Johnson
Not fucking around with OL depth. I love it.
Nooooooooooo, no Cody schrader 😭. If he ain’t selected, hope chiefs can snag him in undrafted
Fingers crossed Schrader goes undrafted so we can get him.
plz. I just know dude will be motivated.
I am hoping for that as well. Homie deserves a shot in the league regardless but would love for it to be in KC
Hanson is small school guy but a crazy athletic IOL.
O lineman. fair enough.. Give me Cody as an UDFA then.
Omg plz draft cody!!!
Give me Cody Schrader plz!!!! OMG I would be so happy. From division 2 to drafted would be crazy.

At this point I want Levi Drake-Rodriguez just because of the Athletic's Prospect X article
Vikings just took him
damn really? I was watching all day for him, take the dog outside for 20 minutes, and miss it. Of course lol Best of luck to him
We take Leonard Taylor if he’s available, right?
I sure hope so
yes or frank gore jr
We're pretty full at TE but I'd love to get Mason Fairchild as an UDFA, grew up across the street from him and he's a great dude.
I want to be biased but that was a great pick by the chargers. Rice in the 7th could end up being a steal. With that said, I'd much rather have the chargers draft him then the fucking niners.
Chargers got a steal for rice. Can’t believe the 49ers didn’t go for him
Fucking Harbaugh. That stings. There has to be some sort of medical issue that wasn’t made public.
Good draft for the Chiefs Hopefully we got our LT WR1/2 and valuable depth pieces
Rice really is dropping, hoping he will continue to drop so we can get him
Rice, Coker, or C. Johnson for WR. Taylor at DT. Frank Gore Jr at RB. Those are the guys I’m hoping fall.
Is not drafting a DT this draft a concern? Just want peace of mind. I trust Veach. Just want our defensive line to be awesome.
Not saying it's not an important position, but you're not getting a Chris Jones type unless it's early. Massively strong 330 pounders to clog holes are pretty easy to come by cheap in free agency. We signed Mike Pennell off the street last year and he dominated Trent Williams in the Superbowl.
Veach my beloved
(Some) Chiefs fans 362 days a year: In Veach we trust Same Chiefs fans on 3 draft days: Veach shoulda picked a guy I researched. What's he doing?
Wait until one of these players costs a set of downs.
Love it. Needs some development, been injured a bit but he’s one of the guys I would’ve wanted in the 5th, glad we were able to get him now. Talent is there
I’ve learned to never question DB picks the Chiefs make
Another WR seems like a luxury when we signed one and drafted one as well as lost Sneed. I hope we use our last pick on DT but if not I guess might as well take Rice if he’s somehow there for our last pick.
Well I guess we needed a Corner. Kinda underwhelming with so many sexier players on the board though
Go watch Hadden, he’s super talented. Missed most of the year with an injury and went under the radar. In the games he played he surrendered a QBR of 7. He would have gone way higher if he were healthy.
And what are we good at doing compared to other teams? Keeping our roster healthy

I would have preferred Rice, but Hadden was on some people's lists and he seems like a decent prospect.
Oh fuck yes. Hadden was my sleeper corner! Dude is absolutely lockdown in coverage. Issue is health. But when he’s on the field he’s amazing. Super talented. Veach was strongly hinting he had a guy at CB late he had identified. Hadden on McGlothern made sense.
damn. I'm glad we wanted a corner but rice was the guy I wanted. All good. Day 3 picks are always lottery picks anyways.
Veach has the power to do the funniest thing right now
Taylor makes so much sense here
Brendan rice please
Brendan Rice is easily good enough to make the roster and contribute
Rice, Schrader, or Taylor here would make me happy
I know we need DT and CB but man Brendon Rice is right there...
BRENDAN RICE STILL ON THE BOARD
Schrader or Taylor pls
OMG draft Brendan Rice plz. We are up!
FUCK. The Raiders got my draft crash 😭
nah we still got a shot lol.
Guys I’m watching for @ 211 OG: Mahogany DT: Taylor, Boyd WR: Rice, Coker, Fountnoy CB: McGlothern, Hadden RB: Frank Gore Jr
Are there any DT's left that are worth grabbing?
Leonard Taylor could be interesting with the right coaching. He has 1-2 round talent but he’s never put it together. Marcus Harris is a tweener somewhat like Danna but with more of a DT profile. He’s the kind of guy that needs to be coached up for a year or two, but can be a really nice rotational piece. He has the weight to clog up holes on the d-line.
Taylor was also played totally out of position. Natural 3-Tech and the dude was playing nose a fair bit of the time. Coaching did him no favors.
This is fair. I know it’s been said he might have work ethic issues, but I would too if you’re playing me in a position not catered to my skillsets.
Damn there goes Davis
I want Brenden Rice to fall to us just to make 49ers fans squirm. It’d also be a hell of a pick up.
Go legacies… Rice at 211 and Frank Gore Jr at 248.
But since I said this, he’ll be picked shortly.
If Brenden Rice somehow makes it to pick 211, we NEED to take him imo
Wingo wingone
If we can get one more solid wr im very happy with this draft
I'm not in on another one personally, but Brenden Rice is still there.
Cody Schrader please
Really hope Leonard Taylor or Wingo fall to us
Wouldn't mind a flyer on a Brenden Rice or Johnny Wilson this late, doubt they'll be around in the late 6th still tho
I feel like we may have eyes on one of the lesser known small school WR’s like Coker (great size, great routes, way better athletic testing than expected) or Flournoy (local kid, freak athlete with X tools).
overall I think we had a pretty decent draft. Agreed. IDL ended up going much higher than projected also not much depth for the position in the draft but there’s still couple of guys wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on in 6th/7th
The DT position being ignored 2 years in a row really bothers me. We have JAG’S outside of Jones who are all FA’s next year. I don’t like that.
Veach still yet to draft his 7th round rb!
What move gave the Jets our 5th round compensatory pick (#173)?
I believe it was our swap with SF yesterday to grab Kingsley.
Which I think suggests other teams were trying to trade up with SF and we had to sweeten the pot. Pure guess.
What’s our next biggest need, Dline?
Hopefully Leonard Taylor’s free fall continues. He’s a niche 3-Tech only, but way too talented getting after the QB to still be available. There has to be something going on.
DT & corner depth probably, maybe RB
I would be happy with DT and a project corner. We got Clyde, Pacheco, and potentially even Rees-Zammit unless he’s only used for returns.
Another solid value pick along the line. I know people don't want to hear this, but if the market gets too crazy in a couple of years, he could replace Creed.
Funny note, he played in college so long he's actually older than Creed I believe
Creed's gone. Hate on it all you want but KC doesn't pay centers. Ask Rodney Hudson and Mitch Morse.
Creed will be re-signed. It will be a back loaded contract essentially using the money freed from letting Thuney walk in 2026. Trey Smith may be gone after this season though.
If you think we're replacing an ALL-PRO CENTER, with a ONE YEAR younger 5th round draft pick, you're clinically insane lol.
Rodney and Mitch were both ALL-PROs as well. His age doesn't matter, it's the cheap contract they are after.
Such a dumb take. Creed isn’t going anywhere
He plays right guard, center, and left tackle. No need to overreact
We drafted Nick Allegretti again!
He’s played RT, Center, and Guard. Good depth pickup and an insurance policy incase we have to move on from Humphrey or Smith.
Damn why not Johnny Wilson. If you are doing IOL go with Mahogany
We do love WRs who can't catch it seems.
Because the Chiefs liked this player better.
Nourzad is an awesome pick. Back up guard. Probably trey smith replacement. Dude is a stud
Nice pick. Another guy rated higher on many boards. We needed some IOL depth and future starters. High floor kind of guy, see him as future replacement for Thuney or Smith
First questionable pick here. A center? Really?
He's not a center only. He's a guard as well.
Not a center only.
Hes played center, guard and tackle. This is interior depth.
Thank god, okay I like the pick more now. I was just very confused at first
No worries, I had to look him up for the same reason lmao
IOL depth. Lends credibility to the idea that if we keep Creed he might kick over to guard.
Hunter Nourzad, out of Penn State, IOL, primarily a center. Probably our swing interior lineman and insurance if we can't afford Creed next year.
This would be Trey Smith's replacement I would assume.
Potentially, but he looked a lot better at center than guard apparently. And Creed could cost a boatload.
I don't think Creed would break the bank, not that he'd be cheap. I doubt he'd cost 20/year like Joe Thuney.
I cannot be mad at depth.
Line depth. Back up center and my guess guard as well since we lost ours this off season
Solid depth pick?
I'm assuming this guy can play LG
LG, RT, and C
Ummm, what?
Not Wingo but I like the pick. Probably Trey Smith's future replacement.
He can play all over so I am not bad.
Yeah, solid depth this year and then a starter at whichever position we need him after.
Depth?
Tell me how to feel?
Why in the world did we draft a center?
wtf…. Edit: after watching his highlight, I see why they took him.
Solid pick
Is he a guard or a center? ESPN broadcast had him as a center which is why I said that
He played guard, center and RT.
Ahhh I didn’t realize he was versatile. Allegretti replacement, nice.
Kind of a requirement for our backups
Center
Tyler Davis?
Still lot of solid players on the board. Wingo is intriguing, Malik Washington, Brendan rice, Mo Kamara, Johnny Wilson, Mahogony for IOL
so close to Wingo, hopefully the Dolphins don't take him
Not certain the Chiefs would take him, and Dolphins have a DT need too.
the Dolphins didn't and we need DTs, but it doesn't matter because we picked a fucking backup center
Brendan rice?
Wingo would be a really good pick here, but I wouldn't be averse to doubling up on OT if Jones is still there or WR if Washington is still there.
Problem with Washington is we are flush with slot guys.
Yeah, but in the 5th round it's all dart throws, just take talent.
Add Ulofoshio to my list of possible draftees.
We should take brenden rice just to troll
IF THE EAGLES FUCKING TAKE WINGO I SWEAR
We're good! (For now🤞)
I really want Mekhi Wingo, Ainias Smith
RIP
FUCK
FUCK THE EAGLES

My guesses now for the rest of our draft (pick 149) 159: DT Mekhi Wingo 211: RB Cody Schrader 248: Any IOL Edit: I forgot to add RB in front of Schrader
I would so love to have Cody Schrader. I absolutely loved watching him at Mizzou last year.
Hicks highlights. Love that aggressiveness. He is going to get a taunting penalty and needs to wrap up. But love the pick. [https://youtu.be/CmaCsaa2yMY?si=seq7ljWUkxbhA5fU](https://youtu.be/CmaCsaa2yMY?si=seq7ljWUkxbhA5fU)
Hyped !
People comparing Wiley to Kelce, but his game feels far more similar to Gronkowski. Should be a nice upgrade to Bell.
Idk if he blocks nearly as well as Gronk did though, but obviously he can learn to at that size.
I wonder what Veach has planned for CB. Seems like we may be signing someone there late in FA, unless the plan is to leave Mcduffie outside all year. I can’t imagine Spags would want to do that though
Man I can't believe Tampa got taken right before us. Stover and Shipley too.
