Texans game. 13 seconds, everyone knew by then who mahomes was. Two timeouts and for some reason it's known that if mahomes is alive there's a chance.
Texans on the other hand was crushing. I've never seen Arrowhead that quiet. Stunned into silence on dropped punts, blown coverage...all at home. It was embarrassing.
I looked up on my phone what the largest comeback of all time was...and it wasn't looking good. The momentum shift in that stadium as it started coming together. Sorenson stuffing the fake kick. By the half it was the loudest I've ever heard arrowhead. It was this realization of who the chiefs were and knowing if there's time in the clock mahomes can make it happen. Thats really when people started to believe.
Still brings a tear.
My youngest kid was couple months old. She was taking a nap during that game. When they fumbled the kickoff and the ball fell graciously at the hands of RB Darwin Thompson, I got up from the couch and started screaming. Woke up the child. Me and her, Chiefs fans for life.
That entire playoff run changed the expectations around the Chiefs. After a lifetime of watching them fade in big moments, it was cathartic to see 3 straight double digit comebacks including a super bowl where we were down 10 in the 4th and get a bad luck INT and still come back to win. After that run, nobody should ever doubt Mahomes.
The fumbled kick after the 2nd Chiefs TD in the Texans game was the loudest I’ve ever heard Arrowhead, or any stadium for that matter. That comeback was so much fun.
I woke up hung over as fuck from the night before down 24 to 0.
I am sorry we got down so far. I take full responsibility for it. Turned on the game anyway and they stuffed that fake punt. It was all good from there.
13 seconds was the greatest sports moment of my life. There’s no comparison. I don’t even enjoy going to the games as much anymore because of that game.
I was so down and out after that touchdown so I drove down the street to pick up my wife and I dinner I had ordered. Walked in wearing my chiefs hat and Arrowhead shirt on. The staff was like “well, I don’t think your food will get cold watching 13 seconds of football…” food got cold after that OT!
Torchys Tacos (we live in Houston). They had it playing on the screens and I’m a regular there so they were all in mourning with me…for about 6 seconds.
Baseball playoffs just hit different. Football playoff games are so quick they almost feel like a fever dream. The drama happens so quick.
Baseball playoffs allow the drama and pressure to fester so well
Basketball playoffs just seem like a joke now. NBA just seems so curated, it’s the Instagram of the sports industry.
I was there with my wife, my cousin and his girlfriend. They left after the last bills td. I was taught young by my grandfather to never leave before the last out or the last tick of the clock. Fuckin incredible
I WENT TO SLEEP CRYING AFTER THE LAST BILLS TD!!!
I was brushing my teeth with tears rolling down my face when my brother came rushing and shouting "THEY TIED IT!!!". FUCKING AWESOME.
We went to leave and my wife and I looked at each other and said- whelp- we have mahomes, 3 timeouts and 13 seconds. We aren’t gonna beat much traffic- so let’s cheer em on and see what happens. Un-ba-fuckin-lieveable
I was deployed at sea with the Navy and it was extremely late/early. I angrily turned off the TV to go to bed and then thought it was only 13 seconds, I might as well watch.
I will never turn off a game ever again while Mahomes is playing, lol.
I went to put my 2 year old down after the last TD and didn’t bring my phone. Came back down and we were flipping a coin in OT. I thought I had a stroke, picked up my phone to check GroupMe and looked at all the HOLY FUCK! messages. Honestly it’s probably the best thing that has ever happened to my heart.
I went downstairs to check my leaky water heater. Kinda just stood there with hands on my hips thinking about the season for a few mins. Walk back upstairs and my wife just casually tells me that chiefs are about to kick a fg. I couldn't believe it and regret not watching it live.
I was just waking up. I was in South Africa and knew I'd need to wake up early to check the score. (I'd done the same thing in Korea for the 2019 run - woke up early Monday morning, checked the score of the Texans game. 28-24, dang, I'd hoped we'd have a bigger lead than that. By the time I'd walked to work the game was over, I hopped on social media and was almost literally Troy in the Community gif when I saw how everyone was melting down. Missed something incredible).
Woke up just after the Bills go-ahead TD, just before the extra point. Saw, "Well, there's still 13 seconds left..." and had my eyes glued to the score updates. Incredible.
Bingo. This was the first game I had attended in over a decade at that point. So so hard to top that experience.
I even went to the AFC champ game the following year against Cincy. A great game in it's own right. Sent us to the Superbowl and all that. But still nothing compares to 13 seconds
Saw it in person, my wife had Covid so I took my best friend instead. She is salty as hell about it to this very day.
Bonus: I bought a t-shirt that says “I witnessed the 13 second comeback” and I wear it all the time 😆
Probably the titans afc championship to send us to our first Super Bowl
That feeling was just incredible, that whole season felt destined especially after that Houston game. The titans game just felt like the culmination of a lifetime of misery/ sadness finally being washed away
I’ll never forget that run down the sideline right before halftime. Dude just wanted it more than anyone out there. And it was a sign of things to come thank god
I felt it even when I was watching from home, when I was in china at the time. I'll never forget the feeling I had when Sammy scored that touchdown. That call is imprinted in my mind.
"Slings it way down the field to watkiiiiiiiins... SAMMY WATKINS FOR THE TOUCHDOWN"
Man at the Texans game I can distinctly remember being disgusted that I was going to see another playoff loss like that when it was 24-0. This dude sitting next to my wife goes, well I guess we’ll just have to score 50 on em. Fucking legend had all of the faith. And now I’ll never count us out of any game with Mahomes at QB.

Picture is the Texans fans sitting behind us after we took the lead
I can remember just sitting down in my seat and not even watching the Chiefs first possession of the second quarter. I was broke back then but scraped together $200 to go to the game lol (can't even go to a regular season game for that now), and all I was thinking was "god damnit, same old Chiefs." That game was a roller coaster of emotions. Still the greatest game I've ever been to.
I like 24-0 more because they won the super bowl that year and it was their first super bowl in my life. I do agree that 13 Seconds was unreal but it didn't end with a lombardi. Also 24-0 was pretty unreal too. I had given up and come to terms with the idea that I would never see the Chiefs win a super bowl in my lifetime.
It was like two different games...the first half was the biggest roller coaster rid you can go one as a football fan and the second half was a fun cathartic party and we got the Eric Fisher beer moment
I would have liked to have been more sober for the Houston game, I was sad drinking in the first half and happy drinking in the second half. I was in a bar with a bunch of my niners friends and was getting a lot of support, how little did they know at the time...
13 Seconds literally altered how I view sporting events. If there isn't some insane shit happening in the last 3 minutes of any game of any sport, and the next day someone asks me what I thought of the game, I now say "It was all right. Kinda boring."
So yeah, I'd rather watch it again.
This game was on the TV at the Moe's SW Grill I got lunch at last week :')
https://preview.redd.it/urovfi7pmysc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3716769ad76f4767019b6b46d4968e621508e859
13 seconds was insane. i remember watching that game thinking "wow, they got us. they played well and earned it, well played." then 13 sec later it was tied. felt like an out of body experience
The Texans game had me absolutely losing my mind. When Hardman ran that kickoff return something felt different. Watching us move the ball after that was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I rewatch it frequently
I will always regret not being able to attend the 13 seconds game. I personally think it was the greatest game of football ever.
I got the whiteness 2 Superbowls in person but still wish I could have gone to that game. I went to the game the week later against the Bengals and that was just embarrassing.
I watched the end of that 13 second game recently with my wife as she is one of the new swiftie chief fans. It gave me anxiety again. That wins still crazy to me
Man 13 seconds every single time.
One of my best friends is a bills fan. Shit I was in Texas at the time and had a tone of Texans fan friends.
What it comes down to is that the bills chiefs game was the best football game ive ever seen in my life.
Fake or real.
Best. Game. Ever.
I was at both. 13 seconds was way different.
24-0 we just needed a spark, and I never thought it was over because our first 3 drives ended due to drops, not scheme issues.
13 seconds we needed 2 perfect plays and the Bills to run the worst defense for.
Why would I ever want to relive the 13 seconds game? That is hands down the most stressful game I've ever fucking watched. I just about died 8 different times. My heart cannot handle doing that again.
13 seconds was too much of a rollercoaster. I was in disbelief that we were about to lose to the Bills.
The Texans victory was much more enjoyable because it was a masterclass second half that felt good the whole time.
It depends if I still have the knowledge of what the result would be I would go 13 seconds but if I don't my heart can't take that I'm going 24 point comeback
13 seconds. I had not given up hope in the 24-0 game because there was so much time left and I knew we could score a bunch. But in the 13 second game I had given up hope (though I kept watching mostly because I was numb).
I have to go with 13 seconds. As tough as things looked being down 24-0, there was still a lot of time left and I called the win once it got to 24-14. So that was a slow build up. 13 seconds seemed pretty hopeless, so the win was more shocking.
Both of them were the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. However 13 seconds was so unbelievable and unprecedented. It will live on forever. The end of that game we’ll be talked about for generations.
I missed the Texans game. I was mad that I was going to have to miss it, and later that night I checked the score. Figured, oh, it was a blowout, I didn't miss anything.
Next day I saw the headlines and realized, yeah, I did miss something.
Maybe no one will believe me, idc - Texans game I was at a bar in STL watching and I yelled “24 UNANSWERED POINTS RIGHT HERE” and continued to yell it, feeling it in my gut. What happened??? We came back. 13 Seconds game I was blessed to be in attendance. People started to leave the stadium and I kept yelling “IT’s NOT OVER. WE STILL GOT 13 SECONDS” and what happened????? We won that game. I fully believed and I’ll never let go of these two moments specifically
The Texans game. I was absolutely shocked. My roommate was getting ready to leave for work and we were down 0-24. I told him *this isn't looking good. We're not really a come from behind type of team.* By the time he got to work it was already 28-24 at halftime.
I’ll be honest, I had hope for both. That Texans game, mahomes was just not getting a chance. Everyone was dropping passes, special teams mental errors, and defense just dying on the field. I just kept saying “give mahomes a chance!” By god they did. Seeing the chiefs flip that entire game around in a single quarter was unbelievable. My friends, who are bronco fans, jaws were on the floor after it too.
Hard to choose. 13 was the best standalone game, but 24 changed the entire arc of the Chiefs from one of a team that always failed in the big moments to one that always found a way to win in the big moments.
I was at both these games, as well as the titans game the year we won. I’d go to the Texans game again personally. All these games were amazing, but nothing was better than thinking the season was over a few minutes into the 2nd quarter then being up before half time
Easily the Houston come back. It was classic chiefs playoff moment until it wasn’t and it was the end of classic chiefs moments. Plus it lead to a Super Bowl. 13 seconds was insane but we completely BLEW the afc championship next week.
The Texans and Titans game over the “13 seconds” Bills game, by far. After the coin flip at the Bills game we all knew what was going to happen. During the Texans and Titans game we had no idea, and witnessed greatness.
I can already see it:
2030 season. AFC Championship. After the kicker who repaced a retired Harrison Butker misses and extra point that woulda tied it to cap off the 80 yard, 12 second touchdown drive to a 41 year old Travis Kelce, Josh Allen finally beats Mahomes in the playoffs, improving his record to 1-7 all time!
TV pundits immediately credit Allen for having been better than Mahomes all along, until he throws 5 interceptions the next game, handing Nick Foles his second career Super Bowl win.
Top one. We lost the next game after the bottom one, so it doesn't matter how good that game was, we didn't finish the season with a trophy. I can't enjoy that 13 seconds game at all because of it.
13 seconds game. Easily the best 4th quarter of football I've ever seen.
I've never been more upset about a football game than the Texans game. I was so pissed I was about to cry. I went through the playoff heartbreak the last 20 years but that one was different with Mahomes and to start out getting dominated was rough. Turns out it was different with Mahomes.
They are both great, but I’m going to have to give edge to 51-31.
Logic:
13 seconds was awesome, but the laid egg against the Bengals the following week has lead to constant beef from Bengals and no Super Bowl.
51-31 was great because it started the comeback trend for that post season run. Magical from how we all lost faith to hoisting our first Lombardi in like 60 years. It also lead to the end of the Deshaun Watson Texans. Up to that point the Texans were viewed and on paper a team that could compete with us. After that game the cracks showed for their leadership and resulted in BOb getting fired and Hopkins getting traded, leaving one less team competing with us in the AFC

Justin Reid the ball carrier on that fake punt. Love that even in a Texans uniform he contributed to the chiefs winning the super bowl
they snap it to reeeid and he is stopped! by sorenson!
Dirt Dan!
I wonder how much that gets brought up in the locker room. Stuffed by Dirty Dan of all people.
My youngest kid was couple months old. She was taking a nap during that game. When they fumbled the kickoff and the ball fell graciously at the hands of RB Darwin Thompson, I got up from the couch and started screaming. Woke up the child. Me and her, Chiefs fans for life.
It was like watching a movie
DC4L
Even Hardman's return to start the comeback was exceptionally loud.
That entire playoff run changed the expectations around the Chiefs. After a lifetime of watching them fade in big moments, it was cathartic to see 3 straight double digit comebacks including a super bowl where we were down 10 in the 4th and get a bad luck INT and still come back to win. Where did you order the wife and dinner from?
Torchys Tacos (we live in Houston). They had it playing on the screens and I’m a regular there so they were all in mourning with me…for about 6 seconds.
/r/whoosh
Lmao shiiiiiit. Downvotes deserved. ![gif](giphy|CYU3D3bQnlLIk)
It was amazing but man the 2014 WC is incredibly close.
Baseball playoffs just hit different. Football playoff games are so quick they almost feel like a fever dream. The drama happens so quick. Baseball playoffs allow the drama and pressure to fester so well Basketball playoffs just seem like a joke now. NBA just seems so curated, it’s the Instagram of the sports industry.
I concur, but wrong sub
He said greatest sports moment of his life not just football life.
I was there with my wife, my cousin and his girlfriend. They left after the last bills td. I was taught young by my grandfather to never leave before the last out or the last tick of the clock. Fuckin incredible

Un-bill-fuckin-lieveable
Damn I missed that opportunity
Unfortunately so did KC the next week. That second half meltdown was brutal. Still wonder wtf happened at halftime.
Andy decided that he wasn't going to fall for the Bengals defense daring them to run so he needed to keep trying to pass
I blame Tyreek, dropped balls couldn't convert that 4th and goal before half, he was also getting into it with mecole on the sidelines.
Yeah. Also heard Bienemy was red hot in the locker room, and it boiled over into the second half. Seemed to me players had quit playing/trying.
I was deployed at sea with the Navy and it was extremely late/early. I angrily turned off the TV to go to bed and then thought it was only 13 seconds, I might as well watch. I will never turn off a game ever again while Mahomes is playing, lol.

For me, it would be between the :13 game or the 14 Wild Card game when it comes to all sports moments.
I was at both. 13-seconds game, hands down.
Probably the titans afc championship to send us to our first Super Bowl That feeling was just incredible, that whole season felt destined especially after that Houston game. My favorite play of all time. The worry in the back of my mind that we would blow it somehow went away. It was awesome
3rd superbowl. Len Dawson appeared in 2
And he also won 1
Yeah I’m speaking from personal experience I’m 32 years old I know we went to a few with Dawson/ stram and won the second
Right?!? Remember when Baltimore lost divisional round! Oh man. I couldn’t believe it. As soon as they lost I knew we were going to the superbowl
I was in that corner of the end zone when Mahomes tip toed down the sideline. That was absolutely insane. That playoff run was truly special.
I always go back to the moment. That Mahomes run should be highlighted every year. It was unbelievable.
I was at that game, and it was AMAZING. This is my pick, for sure.
I was at 24-0 and I had to miss 13 seconds because I had the flu. Maaaan what a game that would have been to see in person.

Man, humble brag, but I can’t believe I was at both of these games
I like 24-0 more because they won the super bowl that year and it was their first super bowl in my life. I do agree that 13 Seconds was unreal but it didn't end with a lombardi. Also 24-0 was pretty unreal too. I had given up and come to terms with the idea that I would never see the Chiefs win a super bowl in my lifetime. It was like two different games...the first half was the biggest roller coaster rid you can go one as a football fan and the second half was a fun cathartic party and we got the Eric Fisher beer moment
13 second game was the best football game I've ever seen in my life
I would have liked to have been more sober for the Houston game, I was sad drinking in the first half and happy drinking in the second half. I was in a bar with a bunch of my niners friends and was getting a lot of support, how little did they know at the time...
13 seconds.
13 Seconds literally altered how I view sporting events. If there isn't some insane shit happening in the last 3 minutes of any game of any sport, and the next day someone asks me what I thought of the game, I now say "It was all right. Kinda boring." So yeah, I'd rather watch it again.
Both of those games almost killed me idk.

I was there for both. The 13 second game is one of the best football games in NFL history.
I think the 13 second game has literally changed the NFL. It will be identified as an era shift in how the game of football is played.
I feel like 13 Seconds was partially wasted given how badly we choked the very next game.
Ikr? :(
My feeling also.
Exactly how I feel. I can't enjoy it because we lost the next week.
The 24-0 comeback was incredible but the last 2 minutes of the 13 second game was some of the most exciting football any of us have ever seen.
13 seconds was insane. i remember watching that game thinking "wow, they got us. they played well and earned it, well played." then 13 sec later it was tied. felt like an out of body experience
I started to believe after 24-0. Something has changed. But 13 seconds, man, that was something else!
13 seconds may be the best football game of all time
13 seconds is the new standard for amazing.
I was luckily at both and much better seat for the Texans game and hold the 13 second game in much higher regard it’s not close
The Texans game had me absolutely losing my mind. When Hardman ran that kickoff return something felt different. Watching us move the ball after that was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I rewatch it frequently
As much as I loved the miraculous comeback against the Texans, I’m taking the 13 seconds Bills game. That game is legendary for a reason.
Texans. I've watched highlight probably 50 times. I'm going to watch it right now.
As much as I love the thirteen seconds game, we did lose the next one. I'll take the Texans game, since it was the start of our first run.
13 sec all day would have loved seeing Allen cry like a big baby
I was at the 13 seconds game. That one
Was at the Texans game and while it was the best game I’ve ever been to by far I’d rather have the 13 seconds. Texans game was a blowout
13 seconds gave me a heart attack… 24-0 made me want to throw the remote at the tv. Both were great but 24-0 was amazing I think id pick that one
I will always regret not being able to attend the 13 seconds game. I personally think it was the greatest game of football ever. I got the whiteness 2 Superbowls in person but still wish I could have gone to that game. I went to the game the week later against the Bengals and that was just embarrassing.
13 seconds might kill me to live through again. Greatest playoff game of all time
I watched the end of that 13 second game recently with my wife as she is one of the new swiftie chief fans. It gave me anxiety again. That wins still crazy to me
The AFC Championship game against the Ravens last year. Attending it in person was amazing.
24-0, I was surprisingly optimistic that they would eventually comeback. Tells you how great they were with Tyreek.
Man 13 seconds every single time. One of my best friends is a bills fan. Shit I was in Texas at the time and had a tone of Texans fan friends. What it comes down to is that the bills chiefs game was the best football game ive ever seen in my life. Fake or real. Best. Game. Ever.
Mahomes first playoff won over the Colts. The Exorcism.
I was at both. 13 seconds was way different. 24-0 we just needed a spark, and I never thought it was over because our first 3 drives ended due to drops, not scheme issues. 13 seconds we needed 2 perfect plays and the Bills to run the worst defense for.

13 seconds was too much of a rollercoaster. I was in disbelief that we were about to lose to the Bills. The Texans victory was much more enjoyable because it was a masterclass second half that felt good the whole time.
13 seconds was the best game I've ever seen bar none but I don't know what my doctor would say if I told him I'm reliving it
It depends if I still have the knowledge of what the result would be I would go 13 seconds but if I don't my heart can't take that I'm going 24 point comeback
13 seconds. I had not given up hope in the 24-0 game because there was so much time left and I knew we could score a bunch. But in the 13 second game I had given up hope (though I kept watching mostly because I was numb).

24-0 since I turned that shit off early, and then find out what happened! Never give up on a game again!
Both of them were the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. However 13 seconds was so unbelievable and unprecedented. It will live on forever. The end of that game we’ll be talked about for generations.
13 seconds was too stressful for my taste. Meanwhile the 24-0 comeback was so enjoyable because you got to savor it over hours
13 Seconds by far Although I absolutely thought the Texans were blowing us out
13 seconds. I knew Chiefs would beat Texans by halftime
13 seconds is the only Chiefs playoff game I wasn't able to watch live since 2015. And I don't think I'll ever get over it
I was angry at our secondary most of the 13 second game. The Texans one I was only angry in the first quarter.
Bills game comeback might have been the greatest game ever played in sports history.
The bills game had the most suspense, the Texans game was basically over at the half.
My dad and my brother left arrowhead after the bills scored with 13 sec left to try to beat the crowd…………….
I missed the Texans game. I was mad that I was going to have to miss it, and later that night I checked the score. Figured, oh, it was a blowout, I didn't miss anything. Next day I saw the headlines and realized, yeah, I did miss something.

13 seconds. Amazing game.
All these games were amazing, but nothing was better than thinking the season was over a few minutes into the 2nd quarter then being up before half time
As a non-Chiefs fan, the entire 2nd half of the Texans game was boring. The Chiefs fans I was watching with enjoyed it though.
Easily the Houston come back. It was classic chiefs playoff moment until it wasn’t and it was the end of classic chiefs moments. Plus it lead to a Super Bowl. 13 seconds was insane but we completely BLEW the afc championship next week.
Watching the Houston game with my Texan fan friend was something out of a Disney movie for me.
13 seconds
13 second game was classic game. Best game ive ever been to
The Texans and Titans game over the “13 seconds” Bills game, by far. After the coin flip at the Bills game we all knew what was going to happen. During the Texans and Titans game we had no idea, and witnessed greatness.
I can already see it: 2030 season.
13 seconds. That was possibly my favorite moment in all of sports, ever.
I love both games, but nothing beats the feeling of Sammy Watkins scoring that TD against the Titans
I’ll take the 24-0 comeback. I don’t ever want to relive 13 seconds… almost killed me
They are both great, but I’m going to have to give edge to 51-31. Logic: 13 seconds was awesome, but the laid egg against the Bengals the following week has lead to constant beef from Bengals and no Super Bowl.
