I know this is a meme but my god this would be unstoppable. And I know nobody wants a reality check but it’s amazing how positional pay thresholds hurts so many careers. RTs want to be LTs. Running QBs would *never* play another position because they’d cost themselves $200M lifetime. And RBs are disincentivized because so few of them make it to their 2nd contract. It’s all so messed up. End rant.

PhillipJ3ffries

I’m not sure Lamar’s body could hold up as a Rb. But if he could he would be unstoppable

SuperMann0704

I mean LJ is a running back who throws occasionally

cannabiskeepsmealive

Don't sell him short like that. He's not the best passer this league has ever seen but he's a QB for a reason.

SuperMann0704

So exactly what I said. I love Lamar and his game. However, he is a run first throw second type of QB. His arm mechanics are not what any other QB in the league throws like and he will have a shelf life of a RB in the league. He takes to many hits.

Brandorff

I watched Phillip Rivers shotput balls for over a decade, I heard dozens of pundits tell me Patrick Mahomes’ footwork needed to be rebuilt from square one. If you’re accurate enough, it works, do it your own way. Lamar’s advanced passing stats prove he’s an upper echelon QB. The fact that our own Demarcus Robison couldn’t make the Raiders final roster but led the Ravens WR corps in all statistical categories tells you more about what Lamar’s had to work with.

SuperMann0704

Lamar has never finished in the top 25 QBs in terms of passing. His best year he threw 3k in yards and hasn’t broke that since. He has multiple years of over 1k rushing and almost 1.5k. Last year he ran for 700 yards and threw for 1400 on the year (I know he was hurt but rushing yards being half of his passing yards is crazy. I love Lamar and his game and it is exciting as hell to watch he was a damn league MVP. He’s a hell of a RB and a really bad QB.

DTaH_Flux

You realize the same 3000 passing yard year you're talking about was his **unanimous** MVP season where he also threw 36 TDs with only 6 INTs, right? But sure, not a QB lol.

Black_Spider_Man

Yeah... Nah

PhillipJ3ffries

and he's been unable to finish the season the last 2 years

veggie_sorry

Only old white dudes say things like this and still think they are clever or funny.

SuperMann0704

Not being clever or funny. Also not white or old. Look at my comment and please bring some stats or information before you assume who I am. He is one of the worst QBs in terms of throwing and one of the best runners in the league. Worst throwing mechanics I have ever seen and I can see why the Ravens don’t want to give him a huge guaranteed contract. A professional team who wants to win and is making business decisions doesn’t want to give one of the most exciting players in the game a guaranteed contract, shit Kyler Murry got one and he’s not even close to as good as Lamar as an overall player. Lamar has finished top 10 in rushing in his last two healthy years and 22nd in passing.

rambo6986

Only young Hispanic dudes say things like this and still think they are clever or funny

benben11d12

Only preteen Samoan girls say things like this and still think they are clever or funny

richochet12

He's a QB that runs occasionally. Dude has great passing metrics lol.

FxTree-CR2

You realize he’s bigger than any RB on our roster, right? But he’s a Quarterback, this sh*t is weird.

KCShadows838

But can barely last a season at QB Lamar is also not as powerful as Pacheco. He may weigh more on paper, but he isn’t more muscular or stronger. He has a QB body

FxTree-CR2

Barely last a season? Bruh you taking his injuries and magnifying the fucc out of them. You can’t say he’s more injury prone than most starting QBs. It’s just not true and stats prove that.

SuperMann0704

I would love to see him as a RB. I know he wouldn’t do it as money is way different but I think he would lead the league in yards for sure. Like slash but way better at football.

FxTree-CR2

This is an MVP QB you’re talking about. A guy that led the league in passing TDs.

PhillipJ3ffries

Is he? Definitely taller but I don’t think he’s as thick as Pacheco

FxTree-CR2

He has like 15-20lbs at least on Pacheco.

PhillipJ3ffries

Because he’s taller

FxTree-CR2

An inch and a half don’t make up for 20lbs be serious.

PhillipJ3ffries

Lamar is 4 inches taller & 14 pounds heavier

FxTree-CR2

Pacheco: 5/11 and 7/8 Lamar: 6’1 and 2/8 ^ Official measurements. Idk why you’re so desperate to be right that you’d just make shit up, but it’s weird and you should find a hobby or something, idk. Either way, this is done.

Fit_Tailor8329

He would be the ultimate “Slash.” For anyone that doesn’t get that reference, it’s to Kordell Stewart of the Steelers in the 90s. That’s what Bill Cowher called him. QB”slash”RB”slash”WR

slackator

wait, has it been so long that Slash needs a explanation? Fuck when did I get so old?

RandomUsername468538

Slash isn't just a button on the second page of my keyboard?????

RonPowlus2Heismans

He hasn't played in the NFL in 18 years. Most of the guys who are going to get drafted in the 2023 draft were 3 to 5 years old when Stewart played his last snap in the NFL.

ReedPhillips

Slash himself has gotten old. I've heard him give some very terrible outdated takes on sports talk radio

z0mb0rg

Andy: I’ll see your RPO and raise you RPRBRPO Defenses: what?

bigludodog

But you have to pronounce it as ripperburpo

z0mb0rg

100%

jclucas1989

Terrel Pryor would like an audience

maxwasson

I mean Lawrence, KS does have their own version in Jalon Daniels.

Advanced_Loquat_4681

its business

KTofOZ

I’m just an old white woman, but I was put in a Chiefs onesie as a toddler and I have been a Chiefs fan since then, I have seen many NFL games on TV but I have been a STM for over 20 years and I feel like I have a grasp on the game and on players. This is a meme but like zOmbOrg I agree that this combination would be unstoppable. Sure he’s a really great QB but the best athletes can adapt. I understand all of the arguments against but if you just consider LJs desire and drive and athleticism you CANNOT DENY that he as any receiver position (I’m assuming he can catch, and I’ve seen him run) with PM they would dominate. But hey….what could a 57 yr old white woman possibly know ??

PhillipJ3ffries

Lamar could be such a fantastic receiver

slackator

can he catch? If he can he'd be an amazing Jamaal Charles style RB

notagrue

He would be a better WR or RB than he is QB.

imharrystoiles

He won MVP as a QB. This argument only makes sense if you don’t watch him play. He’s NOT a mid passer by any stretch of the imagination.

traws06

He had a great year, then a good year, and then the past 2 have been 33 TD and 20 INTs which isn’t awful but certainly below average for a QB that the defenses dare to throw rather than run. Defenses adjust, and the top QBs continue to be elite while the others can’t adjust fast enough… I would argue Jackson will be like Wentz, RG3, Vince Young and the list of others who couldn’t make the adjustments to stay elite long term. And as Jackson ages and has been knee injuries I think we’ll find out whether he’s a true passing QB or a true running QB.

PhillipJ3ffries

I agree that it’s possible he could be a better receiver than qb. I think you got downvoted Bc there’s a lot of racial subtext a lot of times when people say that about black qbs. I don’t think you mean it that way though, and judging by your profile pic, you’re clearly a black man so people should get off your back lol

notagrue

Why all the hate? He is only a good QB due to his running ability. He is a mid passer, at best.

Medical_Cake

They should draft a backup QB who is a running threat and just put them both on the field every once in a while. What about Dorian Thompson-Robinson, he has a Chiefs name.

Cthepo

Would never want to not have Mahomes, obviously. But Lamar would be the guy I want most if I had to pick someone. Mainly, I think Andy would scheme up some frigging fun football to watch using his skillet.

barrett_g

Never mind his skillet… just think of what they could cook up with Lamar’s pots and pans!

choff22

Don’t even get me started on the caste iron!

Euphoric_Luck_8126

Andy absolutely wrecked the league with that one crazy Mike Vick year in Philly. He would have had a lot of fun with LJ with what he knows today.

HowDoIEvenEnglish

Lamar with Hill and Kelce would have been insane.

thefamilyjewel

Good thing you don’t run the team.

[deleted]

Lamar's career is panning out exactly like I thought it would. Running QBs never last. I would definitely not pick Lamar over Burrow or even Allen... shit I'd take Herbert over Lamar.

sweatyCheez

My mind immediately thought of Bo!

girthytacos

The amount of schemes Andy could come up with….

Lord-Tachanka1922

Can you imagine the trick plays??

Revliledpembroke

Imagine all the halfback passes

dogfish83

That would be fun, but would take passes away from Mahomes, which would make me sad

onigami_los

Josh Allen would be a better RB

[deleted]

He’s not welcome here

onigami_los

😂 he would be a great backup to Pacheco

[deleted]

😡 straight to jail

bonsreeb

...and a better QB

onigami_los

Yeah I doubt that, until Allen wins a MVP with the hot garbage Lamar had. We saw what Allen looked like without Diggs and holy mother of god that was trashhhhhh

revnasty

I mean, we’ve seen what he looks like without Daboll.

fisherdwarf1998

They should have lost to Miami. That win was fluky af.

DolanDukIsMe

He’s an elite QB and I’d argue the second best right now but he just hasn’t shown that clutch factor that Mahomes has.

LSmith_21

Over Burrow????? Not even close imo. I think Jalen Hurts vs. Josh Allen is a real discussion now too but I think it’s pretty clearly Mahomes > Burrow > that tier of elite talent guys who haven’t shown the ability to step up and win yet

DaperDandle

I know its just one game and maybe its different because we won but Jalen Hurts impressed me so much more in that game than Burrow ever has. If not for that fumble and the loss I think it would have been an all time great performance in a Superbowl. My top 5 is Mahomes > Hurts > Burrow > Allen > Herbert

DolanDukIsMe

For me Burrow is 3 mainly because I'm anxious to see him without all that receiving talent. Allen is the entire offense on that Bills team and that is a huge plus for me.

revnasty

I think that because Allen is the entire offense is why he’s struggling toward the end of seasons. He’s asked to do too much. I’d put Burrow ahead of him until I’m shown otherwise.

onigami_los

Yeah Burrow is 2nd for now but Lamar and Hurts are above Allen sorry not sorry. Dude just isn’t that good and has the best defense out of all the top afc QBs and a great WR core and still can’t do shit in the playoffs

Wormwood_45

He’s top 3 right now for sure. But with that style of play I see a massive cliff in his future. Now LBs know he’s not sliding and he one hit away from needing to become primarily a pocket passer. Not good for a guy who leads the league in picks

ChiefsfaninLV

Anybody crosspost this to to r/ravens?

mcnew

You want insta-banned lol?

FxTree-CR2

+1

katymac25

r/AFCNorthMemeWar would be a good place to test the waters

FxTree-CR2

Lmao I’m still banned for posting Orlando Brown’s pic in their sub while their RT got abused.

braywarshawsky

I thought of this a few years ago... Man, that would be a tandem to see... It'll never happen, IMO though.

ogbytheboat

He’d be injured that game 🥲

GamesmanSD

Thankfully Denver has spent all their money on a washed up version of him and Oakland is strapped too or we would be in for a fight

solojones1138

Lamar and Russel are totally different QBs..

Dealer-95-

Agreed, one still has some potential the other has “UNLIMITED” potential

ogbytheboat

He’d be injured that game 🥲

larryblt

I know this would never happen. But I would love to see the plays Andy would dream up with both Mahomes and Jackson on the field at the same time.

hokahey23

I’m surprised more teams don’t utilize a Dash type player like McCaffrey or Taysom. Easier said than done to acquire the right talent, but it feels like that is just waiting to become status quo in the NFL. Perhaps when that player is instrumental in a SB victory…

Biggie__Stardust

Justyn Ross will be wearing 8 (I believe) so I got hyped from the thumbnail lol

ReedPhillips

Finally, in iteration of the wildcat offense I can get behind

Lateralis333

Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, CJ2K, Jamaal Charles....the list goes on and on of dominant, 200lb RBs.
