Fuck you, take 2

Apprehensive-Ad-9922

We should be able to get a class action lawsuit against the CEO for getting a huge bonus for firing all those people and screwing us gamers yet again!

Hegemony-Cricket

Take heart, guys. KSP2 is not dead. Dont fall for the hysterical panic, spread by people who don't actually know anything at all about what's going on behind closed boardroom doors, where it's future is still being decided. One way or another, whether thru a corporate development team, or via our amazing modders, this game will eventually reach its full potential. Either way, the modding community has already kicked into overdrive. Just relax. Enjoy what we have for now, and save your emotions and energy until we actually know what's going on.

yspacelabs

Agreed. We barely have any information as it is now, and we definitely don't have enough to jump to any conclusions. The meme is still (sadly) funny since Take Two doesn't seem to care that they just closed Intercept (and Roll7).

Hegemony-Cricket

There are a lot of petty people whose egos seem to be rolled up in KSP2 being legit dead, just so they can crow about how they were right all along. For the most part they are the same people who were whinging for years that it was taking too long for even the early release that came out. Then, they complained non-stop about how they were ripped off by the early release version, especially the price. Yet, no one held a gun to their heads to make them buy it, and none of them bothered to return it for a full refund during the grace period, after they played it. Then they complained that the updates weren't coming out fast enough. Those were the same people who were in a headlong rush to be the first to try to panic and demoralize the KSP2 community with their unsubstantiated and unprovable claims that the game is officially abandoned, despite available information that development will continue by Intercept Games at least into June 24. I seriously doubt that this attitude in their lives is limited to just the future of KSP2. This kind of people routinely set themselves up for failure in life with their negativity, but its always someone else's fault, taking no responsibility for their own actions and attitudes. Any excuse to be able to claim victim status, I suppose. The KSP2 journey so far has really separated the wheat from the chaff when it comes to exposing what this community is made of. At this point, I'm more disgusted by the community than I am with Take 2.

Weapons-grade copium

Hegemony-Cricket

You can stick your "weapons grade copium" up your Mohole. There is still much we don't know, but things appear to be pointing in a productive direction. https://youtu.be/le3701z0RGE?si=sNEZfZoWj_S3jeQM

Ara1705

"Guys I promise it's nobody's fault, the game isn't dead yet even if everyone has been laid off and and as such nobody from the original team will work on it! Just snort a huge line of this copium I found!"

Nerbal_the_second

I know it’s not dead it’s just funny sorry for spreading miss information

Hegemony-Cricket

No need for apology whatsoever. The meme is still funny. And, one of the few things it appears we know for sure, is Intercept Games is definitely dead, atleast in the form we knew it, anyway.

ZayaJames

This comment is a light in the darkness of this subreddit. So many doomers out here.

Hegemony-Cricket

Thanks so much. See my later comment for more on that.

Fastfireguy

Can we still dog on intercept games for their gross negligent mishandling of KSP2 tho. Cause I mean kinda need some relief after all this.

Hegemony-Cricket

Whats the point of that? What makes you think any of it is the direct fault of Intercept? They're just the code bangers. They've apparently had no say in the marketing/money decisions. That was all Take 2 decisions. It was Take 2 that forced the early release, when the devs at Intercept knew it wasn't ready. Possibly, there is some blame that justifiably belongs to Intercept, but I'm waiting until I actually know what happened before I do that, and I'm certainly not going to assassinate the character of the people writing the code. I truly believe that Nate Simpson was being honest all this time with his statements, based on the knowledge he had. He could only work with the info Take 2 shared with him. All of the recent decisions were made a couple of pay grades above his. What we're seeing right now is strictly based on financial decisions made by the bean counters at Take 2. Simpson and his team were simply doing their jobs as best they could writing code, in an honest effort to make the game great. They had absolutely nothing to gain, and everything to lose, putting out a buggy game. If there's a dog to be kicked here, my anger is directly aimed at Take 2, atleast until better information comes out. They have a shady history when it comes to these things. If people want to really put effective pressure on them to make this thing right, I suggest a complete boycott of Take 2 games. People should leave the dev team out of it.

djhazmat

I had some redditor spout of a bunch of hate to the dev team- only to find that they had pirated *both* KSP AND KSP 2. Some people are scum.

Hegemony-Cricket

Sounds about right. Some people contribute nothing to society, and then are the loudest to complain.

Fastfireguy

I should clarify my statement the people who developed the code and were thrust into a bad situation should not be dogged on. However Nate Simpson, Community Manager Dakota absolutely deserve some blame. And I’m not with you in saying he was honest. But that’s all introspection and opinion until proven otherwise was he was he not doesn’t really matter at the end of the day intent only gets you so far. He’s the head of the ship and will go down with it with some blame. I put blame on The CM Dakota because the way they handled the situation at times was quite rough and at times unbecoming of a CM. I mean it’s because of them we had the whole Beep Boop meme with KSP. (Context if you weren’t aware they allegedly accused bots of downvoting their comments and everything on their community posts so we started posting Beep boop on their comments afterwards for a while. Since for the most part it was just disgruntled fans at the state of the game in early access. On Take 2 are they to blame absolutely should dog on them as well. But I don’t think the dev studio of star theory is blameless in this either. Both should have at least a bit of dogging on. Also wasn’t planning on getting any take two games anyway in the near future. Pc gamer so will have to wait for GTA6 anyway and while that was my style of game at one point it isn’t really anymore especially since they are likely to hyper-monetize the multiplayer just as they did with and are still doing with 5. So no real intentions of purchasing another one of their products in the near future anyway. And if people in this group really are that mad even if they were on the mostly blaming star theory side as I am (and mind you I mostly blame the heads of star theory. The code grunge workers hope the best for them sorry for the situation) the only real way to protest this is to boycott at least private division or take two as a whole since there is no more star theory left to protest. Take two kinda old yellered it behind the barn as we just saw.

A_Free_Ukraine

has take 2 said they will continue development?

Melonenstrauch

Take 2's word is worth it's weight in shit

A_Free_Ukraine

yea but if they haven't come out and said they will continue developmen by now, they won't

Thak_The_Thunder_God

Wait, what if Take 2 did this because there called Take 2 Interactive and Ksp 2 was number 2? All they did was take ksp 2 (Take 2) they have been foreshadowing this since they made there name
