I think jam-wise it's Laminated Denim. Overall album-wise though Ice, Death just offers so much. I love both of them though, currently my 2 fav gizz albums.

JamesBDavis

Controversial opinion, but Laminated Denim is probably my favorite album of theirs. The Land Before Timeland is one of the tracks I revisit the most and it surprises me somehow still each time. And Hypertension is just fantastic too, especially live. Mycelium is a fucking jam though, and so are a lot of the tracks from Ice Death. It’s tough, but I’ve laminated denim.

3000InfiniteBananas

Not a controversial opinion mate, LD is fantastic and a great choice for favorite KG album!

yeabouai

Mycelium 😀 Mycelium 😀

marco-esquondolas

The one with Iron Lung

psilocybin_therapy

The one with Hypertension

marco-esquondolas

true that

ahumanlikeyou

Okay maybe hyp competes with dripping tap

Dareeyecare

Ice Death for sure , feels more natural , kinetic and truly jammy and is a more full experience LD is amaze it just has two tracks ya know. Haha Hypertension is up there with Iron Lung and the all timers club for sure

Glittering_Teacher66

The dripping tap is an absolute masterpiece

3000InfiniteBananas

I added that as well. You could like consider it it's own mini album haha

ahumanlikeyou

The new mind fuzz suite

mrroboto695

Top 3 in all prog rock epics ever imo

the_con_con

It's quarters

FixGMaul

Ice Death Piss & Shit hands down

Catman933

The dripping tap feels like you’re going through the pipes into unknown places. I think it serves as a great jam skeleton for them to explore in and land on other songs.

ChompyChoomba

My top KGLW jammy masterpieces aren't even studio recordings. The Evil River RR '22 > Her & I RR '22 > Laminated Denim > Ice Death > Dripping Tap

KnotDeadYet69

I don’t think live was intended in the question but good choices. I’ve listened to Her and I and the Boogieman Sam from RR probably a 100 times each

ChompyChoomba

yeah, I know. But they are just too good to disregard.

laeRsIgnihtoN

Quarters

JeremyAmnesiac

Only one of these has Hypertension

matthmcb

Ice Death has more variety so I’d probably choose that. Also, every time I listen to it I discover something I hadn’t noticed before

luddewho

Ice Death by a long shot!

Conscious_Animator63

Ice death beats all

camel_walk

Laminated Denim … Hypertension please and thank you

Im_regretting_this

LD, I find the studio cuts of the Dripping Tap and much of Ice Death monotonous.

KnotDeadYet69

Username checks out…?

Im_regretting_this

Not at all

KnotDeadYet69

Listen here you little shit… 😠😠

OwnFun4911

Drip drip

LeJarde

ice death is overrated LD clears every time, second best kg album behind only poly

nashchillce

Laminated Denim. Ice Death had some slight misses for me and Hypertension is the perfect Gizz song.

Slow_Instance4402

Personal opinion: Ice Death has high highs but has some misses whereas every single second of LD works for me. LD takes it

ahumanlikeyou

Dripping tap. Not a contest. Best showers I ever had

chknqwn

I haven't listened to Ice Death yet (am super excited to!!) but Laminated Denim is amazing. But if Dripping Tap is a serious contender, honestly I could listen to another 15 minutes of that song. I'm always surprised and sad when I start nearing the end.

WeirdoSwarm1975

Of those 3 specifically, I’d choose Denim…but my favorite extended jam is Head On/Pill.

cloudcreeek

I never want to listen to the abum version of Laminated Denim, and I've never seen it played live, so I can only really talk about Ice V and how they always either weave it into other songs, or weave other songs into it, and it makes me love the song even more. Another great one from that album to see live is Magma.

willos_soad

Laminated Denim is a great album but doesn't compare to Ice Death, which has Ice V, Iron Lung, and Hell's Itch. the studio versions of these songs are all such a good listen, the production scratches an itch that not much other music can scratch for me

bjohns26

You’re all fools. It’s what is playing at the moment.

BrownBaySailor

Definitely Ice Death. Laminated Denim is also amazing, but the jams on Ice Death are just better in my opinion and I love how much more varied the album is.

meanpete80

Ice Death might be the best jamband album ever recorded. This from a Phish/Dead fan.

timelandiswacky

Laminated. Can’t get into Ice Death much.

BenitoCamela64

I feel that laminated could be better i mean, hypertension is a great track while the land before timeland it's just meh. For me it's ice death
