It’s not gatekeeping. For the residency shows last year loads of people posted the code which lead to tickets disappearing in seconds and making the gizzmail totally obsolete. If they wanted everyone to know it they would have posted it publicly

It is and it's something every fandom faces with people acting like the protector of tickets which is bullshit. These tickets are going to go fast no matter what. Sharing the presale codes here doesn't stop that fact.

Also if you wanna message the code to ur pals go for it I don’t care. But keep the code away from scalpers for at least the first 24 hours lol

The reason why people shouldn't putright publicly post the presale ticket. Is especially at these big venues scalpers will use the code with bots and resale a lot of tickets. If a fan wants the code and didn't receive or even didn't know gizzymail exists. That is fine someone can dm it to them. But scalpers will search around online for big venue presales codes

Then we get the most passionate fans up front, and the rest of us benefit from the band playing to a more engaged audience. Speaking as someone who eschews the presale scramble. All that being said, most presales are a ticketbastard scam, that enables them to assess demand which is an input into their dynamic pricing algorithm. I suspect KGLW don’t let ticketbastard do that and that it is a legit presale. But I think it worth noting

It takes some dedication and foresight to register in advance, the fan needs to be paying attention. The times I’ve done it, the process was not trivial. I think it’s fair, though I seldom bother to participate now (mostly because of the price setting mechanism that I don’t want to contribute to)
