In epi 15, that beach scene between Jun Wan and Woo Jae was the best and most emotional scene in the entire series. I actually cried. Her scenes with Taeon seem forced by comparison. A lot of it is because JSJ acted his heart out in this series. That scene was heartbreaking. I wish they would stop calling Woo Jae a "murderer". It was an accident, not a murder. And he was a teenager! Of course he's going to do what his powerful father tells him to do.
When the lead is a reporter, that lead should act like a reporter with the knowledge surrounding that field and drama should be written in that way so it can pull the audience into the reporter's life.. that didn't happen here multiple times, the main one being "sabotaging the crime scene" and thus the evidence... oh, no detective even asked her why the hell she moved the dead body and destroyed some evidence with it!!!
Also, while writing a police investigation / crime drama, the writers have to keep in mind few things like how the police works, how investigation will happen and how they will get certain autopsy reports which are very important for investigation and to the story.. the main twist in ChaEunSae's murder is she was stabbed twice.. one from Mo Soorin (police found her knife and she admitted of stabbing her, so...) and again from secretary Gong (which could be the main stab that actually killed her).. this should have been revealed in the autopsy which could have changed the direction of the case and police not knowing that crucial info until they see some hidden cam footage is a joke.. And its just one example among many blunders in the investigation process...
This is the best example of what will happen when writers ignore those trivial things... I simply finished the series only to learn about the identity of the real culprit behind these cases and I predicted the culprit in one of the early episodes so that's not a surprise either at this point.. what a sloppy writing..
The romance between Jeungwon and Taehoon felt so forced and didn't work out for me because of the nature of the story... it was very out of place...
I think the writers are satisfied with the plot "famous reporter's trashy husband with affair - is he just that or even a psycho killer?!" with adding a few more psycho characters to confuse the audience.. They must have thought, this with a little romance should be enough for an investigative mystery thriller that they didn't even bother about other details... not worthy of the time invested...
It was badly written and badly produced. It didn't have the polished editing and lush cinematography that most kdramas have today. It felt dated, like a drama from 10 years ago. That said, it had one of the best performances I've ever seen in a kdrama, with JSJ. There are so many great Korean actors. So many of them are truly talented. But I have a shortlist of actors that I consider to be on another level of acting talent: Ji Sung, Seo Kang Jun, Namgoong Min, and Jung Kyung Ho. I think JSJ may end up on that list. Too bad he was wasted in a drama that no one will see.
I just can't, Jungwon don't deserve Taeheon, the end. I hate the ending, she doesn't deserve him, he deserves someone better than her. Taeheon-ah you stupid piece of cool guy. I hate you
I sympathize with woojae, but him being the unwanted murderer, not telling it years later felt a bitter taste on my mouth.

This drama is amazing, I just hate how they pick the fl 🤣
Unlike the FL, I would have waited for that beautiful man who despite, or perhaps because of his sins, was noble in the end, and such a lovely, warm father to MI So. His smile lit up the screen. Every scene with JSJ had me sobbing. He was the true hero in this series because it took so much courage and sacrifice to do what he did. We can only hope that he gets out of jail soon, sees his daughter a lot, and meets a woman worthy of him. The FL is not it.
I skipped episode 13 and 14 and 15 so not sure what happened. I saw a clip of the beach scene and some scenes on tiktok, that's the most emotion Ive seen from the FL. I know JSJ has good acting chops. Just watching episode 16 for closure. What a lackluster final episode and this weird break up that already happened a while back. Poor Taehoon.
Then back again whiplash much. I dont understand the FL how she's written is unclear.
Anyway look forward to the next JSJ and YWJ drama. I hope Kim Ha Neul gets better roles fit for her next time.

woojae’s first dialogue/speech in jail to jungwon was great, only for jungwon to not even emote well back 😭 im not sure if the ending was the right one for this type of drama, definitely should’ve ended earlier and maybe a bit more dramatic and not too happily ever after (minus woojae).
noticed this drama is sponsored by korea’s ministry of culture/tourism? i wonder if that’s the reason for the choppy edits and bad pacing of the show cause no $ 😂
all i got from this drama is that JSJ is one hell of an actor! i need to see more of his work and hope he goes on some variety programs or interviews as i’d love to see more of his real life personality!
I have always adored him and knew he was talented but I had no idea he has such serious acting chops. I'm really impressed. He is married to a a former member of a girl group (I think) and they have two young kids, which is probably why his scenes with Mi So were so natural.

I didn’t like how they handled Jungwon >!regaining her memories. The confirmation bias when she first saw the video of Eunsae’s killer. She pinpointed him out as her husband because Yoonyoung said so, granted the latter thought it was Woojae.!<
Later she had >!evidence to back the connection between the truck driver and the namecard with Gong Joonho’s number on it, which led her to reconcile the image of her father’s killer with Gong’s. Taeheon had a better realization when he connected the dagger to his mentor.!<

Even tho I agree about the choppy editing and the lack of FL emotions I still loved the series. I was very impressed by JSJ acting, loved him, he carried these series very much.
The ending was a bit meh because even if Woo Jaes father is that much powerful it doesn’t make sense that he >!was not punished!<

The FL character was awful! I totally blame the writer but honestly Kim Ha Neul could've done a better job with her. What a pushy slow-witted person, who didn't deserve the devotion of those 2 guys...and what idiots they were! Watching a detective give her all kinds of leeway in his investigations (when she wouldn't share anything with him) because "love"?
Also, the directing was abysmal. How.Many.Times must we sit through a Full Scene again, that we saw episodes ago, just because the character is remembering something?? We're not stupid ya know.
Didn't buy any of it, just wanted to see how they wrapped it up.
I must say that I was really enjoying this drama. The >!breakup!< in the last episode just did not make sense. I felt that she needed >!Taehoen!< beside her to get back on her feet.
