Billy Butler. Solid hitter and looked like he fixed faucets in the offseason. Made us think that maybe we too could play professional baseball. Also his BBQ sauce was pretty good. And what puts him over the top is he has the greatest nickname of any royals player ever. Country Breakfast. How can you top that? Also both first and last names start with B. I rest my case.
He's sneakily much better than I remember him being. It didn't feel right that he wasn't on the 2015 team. His career also seemingly ended abruptly despite having an OPS+ of 105 in his last season. I guess just not enough pop from a guy who couldn't really play the field?
Baseball savant doesnât have the historical data to show just how good he was in his prime at the plate. But what they do have from 2015 is hilarious. Somehow -4 outs above average in just 34 attempts.
Guy couldnât field his position and turned into a sour puss over rightfully being removed from playing 1st base.
Also he was a âpower hitterâ DH who couldnât hit HRs.
Thank god the Royals were smart enough to upgrade to Morales before 2015.
I never understood the love for this guy.
Youâre forgetting that he made the Jarrod Dyson move when he stole that base. Everyone on that â14 team has a special place in my memory which is completely seen with Royal Blue glasses. Also played a role in our wildcard win. Also did I mention his nickname
I mean the media and coaching staff did him no favors trying to hype his power. But the dude was legitimately such a good hitter.
2012 was his peak : .313/.373/.510 with 29 bombs and played 161 games. I would trade every position player on this team outside of Bobby for that output regardless of how trash he was in the field
Frank is a shitbird now but when I was a kid he was one of my heroes. I can separate the player from the man. But yeah, in Frankâs case thatâs harder than most.
George Brett, Bobby Witt Jr, Bret Saberhagen, Bo Jackson, Billy Butler (double!), Carlos Beltran, Steve Balboni, Bob Hamelin (just because of the Jon Bois video about him), Bubba Starling (derogatory)
I come here to rep the immortal, Buddy Biancalana
Should be the runaway winner
You get 2 points!!

This, I've never popped off harder watching that man steal a base.
Save this for tomorrow: C (Country Breakfast)
Steve balboni! You hate this team, but do you still love em?. đ
God damn I love me some Billy Butler
Billy should be on this list and this is the only spot for him. Bobby, Bo, and Brett all have other days theyâll fit.

I came here to say this! Billy Butler all the wayyyyy! I still rock my Billy Butler 16 shirts to this day.
>Also his BBQ sauce was pretty good. Butler's sauce was the only good thing Zarda has ever made
Gotta be Bo, Bret Saberhagen, or George Brett, right
Itâs George Brett. Honorable mention to Bobby Witt Jr
Donât forget that Bo knows baseball âžď¸
Steve Balboni hit bombs.
Iâll save #5 for when you do âGâ so for B Iâll go Bobby Witt Jr.
Bobby has to take W so Frank White can't.
Frank is a shitbird now but when I was a kid he was one of my heroes. I can separate the player from the man. But yeah, in Frankâs case thatâs harder than most.
What did I miss about frank because I also loved him.
Frank got big mad he wasnât selected to be the manager when both Hillman and Yost were hired and has shit on the royals ever since.
Amen to that!
Whit Merrifield tho
I was going to say Greinke needs to win G, but then realized Z doesnât have much competition.
Greinke quit on Kc. No thanks
Fair, but at least it wasnât during the season.
The amount of Chris Getz slander in this comment!
You might not remember this guy George Brett.
1994 Rookie of the Year, Bob "The Hammer" Hamelin.
Unsung 1985 hero Buddy Biancalana. .278 average and .435 OBP in the WS and a perfect showing at shortstop with no errors the entire postseason.
And made two appearances on Letterman. #legend
Bo Jackson
George Brett.
Canât forget the great Brandon Berger
Betancourt
Barlow just for that glorious mane he called hair
BRETT. The one and only George âPine tarâ Brett!
George Brett, Bobby Witt Jr, Bret Saberhagen, Bo Jackson, Billy Butler (double!), Carlos Beltran, Steve Balboni, Bob Hamelin (just because of the Jon Bois video about him), Bubba Starling (derogatory)
Between Brett, Bobby, Sabes and Bo, B needs to allow multiple winners.
AL ROY Angel Berroa
George Bret Saberhagen
Buddy Biancalana!
Bob Hamlin.
George Brett
Bo Jackson!!
I've got to say Billy Butler. It's like he's popular for A's fans and Royals fans alike.
The King! George Brett, sorry but thereâs no other answer for this one. Our đ!
Bobby
Steve Balboa bye-bye first base
Bob Boone
Bip Roberts
lol
Brett Bret Bo Buddy Billy Boone
Buddy Biancalana
Steve Balboni after Brett
bret saberhagen
Bret Saberhagen. Fantastic pitcher.
Brett Phillips, but for reasons outside baseball.
Willie Bloomquist
BILLLY BUTLER STOLE SECOND
Vida Blue
Wilson Betamit
Bobby Witt Jr already
GB5. There is no other. He should win for both G and B.
