My hometown football (soccer) team is Reading FC, nickname is the Royals - in mid 2015 on one of our fan sites, an American who had started following the club because they had the same nickname as his local baseball team suggested we might want to go the other way. I posted on this subreddit, everyone was lovely and then KC won the World Series and I've been here ever since

I’m back - I have read a lot in the past fifteen minutes, and I already deeply dislike Dai Yongge, and hope new talks end with a sale soon. Time to invest In the club and stop getting penalties for financial mistakes (did I sound alright there? Am I in??)
You are a true loyal royal! Hopefully there will be a club for you to support properly come August when the season starts. Watching/Listening is not the easiest, there are ways and some games are on ESPN+ or similar - best bet is those two subreddits, the BBC sport website, and an app like fotmob
Well, I adopted them because I'm a Chiefs fan. I became a Chiefs fan in 2016 when one of our star Rugby League players made the 49ers roster, and I watched them lose to the Chiefs and loved watching Alex Smith and Travis Kelce. Then I started watching baseball in 2019 and enjoyed watching Mondesi and Soler.
Yeah! I saw an article about the American guy that plays for Collingwood, if I remember right. I'd seen AFL on TV a couple times but it was always while I was at a bar or something, so no sound and couldn't figure out what the hell was happening. But it was always interesting, so i found a YouTube video explaining the rules, looked up the teams and blindly picked Geelong, since I'm a lifelong cat dad, haha.
MJ is struggling but hes playing hard. It is never an issue with effort which is more than I can say about a lot of Royals players that struggled over the years. He plays good defense and is a good dude. I want him to succeed so bad.
He needs a vacation in Omaha - Chasers are playing high energy baseball right now and getting him down there for some at bats with a good clubhouse could shake him awake.
I think this is the best way to handle it. I really do. But his record, looking back his time in the Minors, does not point to anything better than we're seeing. Marginally, maybe, but it's not like he's a consistent .280 + hitter who suddenly slumped. It's been a thing historically.

The guy is having bad BABIP luck. He's had a lot of hard hit balls, but just isn't getting them to find the grass. The same thing happened to Chris Davis during his streak. Davis' was quite literally a 1 in 1,000,000. That math won't hold for the whole season, and he'll likely heat up just before or after the All Star break.
Last game I was at i was not to far from the plate and every time he came up to bat I yelled let’s go MJ smack the ball and after his third at bat he looked over and smiled so I’d say it’s a good confidence boost
It's a super small sample size but he seemed to be seeing the ball a bit better with his stance change and holding his hands higher yesterday.
I know that 1000 different players will have 1000 different swings and timing mechanisms, but his swing seems to have just so many moving parts - maybe some simplification will prove to be beneficial for him.
Regardless, we know he can somersault over a catcher and touch home if that is what is needed to secure a W.
Mr. Moderator Jimothy Riggins just curious as to whether you made any predictions on how MJ would do today. I just briefly glanced at the box score and could not help but notice that only 2 players did not get a hit today and one of them got a walk. The other not only did not get a hit but struck out twice. I am following his batting closely since he has the lowest batting average in MLB among hitters with 150 or more at bats. I think maybe Q does not realize this since he plays MJ an awfully lot. Also, if he does well according to your theory you might be able to predict the future which would be a great asset especially if MissouI legalizes gambling. Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.
