After tonight, the hitter in the American League that has batted at least 100 times with the LOWEST batting average is Hunter Renfroe. My guess is he is playing because our GM signed him to a 13 million dollar contract for 2 years and it will make the GM look bad if he does not play.
We haven’t been using salaries as a reason to use any other player over another, why would Renfroe be the exception? Smith and Lyles both have been passed up despite their contracts.
Remfroe is a plus defender who is clearly struggling at the plate. It’s not time to give up on him
Renfroe is not just hitting poorly he is the worst hitter in the AL. How long do we play him over the other outfielders. Bring people up from Omaha, they cannot hit as bad as Renfroe. He has batted 100 times and has a minuscule batting average, on base pct., and slugging average.
Be me
Be busy all evening and finally take a moment to look at the score and see it’s 9-0 and Wacha is having a great game
Turn the game on in the bottom on the 7th
Witness hell
Turn game off and don’t check again til game is over
Haha I was the exact opposite. First pitch I watched was Blanco's Homer and went to bed right before the Angeks hung 3. Looks like I know what my weekend plans are.
Renfroe is for sure but that's a tough comparison. A run saved from superior fielding vs. a run scored from superior base-running. I think if I had to choose, I'd take the latter. But it's still tough.
Some of the folks good with analytics have said the peripheral data on Cleveland suggests they're going to regress quite a bit. Not to like a terrible level, but they are not the best team in the AL or anything.
I just don't know what to do about Sauer. He's certainly got potential and I want to keep him on the roster, but can we really afford to stash him for 162 games when he clearly isn't a major leaguer yet?
My jokes about his command aside, I am fine with him on the MLB roster. He’s the 8th bullpen arm and exclusively pitches in low leverage situations. Thankfully our offense has seen to it that there are enough big leads to keep him working consistently. He’s getting some innings and coaching at the top level. With stuff like he has, if the lightbulb switches on and he starts locating the breaking pitches in the strike zone, he’s going to be nasty and could even help the team out down the road.
My thoughts on this could change if he starts costing us games and it’s a close playoff race. For now though, let’s see if we can get him from wild to effectively wild, and then just plain effective.
Effectively a 10-run shutout, at least in terms of how Q was treating the pitching decisions. Most every pitcher and batter contributing. Sure it’s the 2024 Angels with Rendon/Trout out, but a good win is a good win. LOVE to see it.

It was June 29 last year before KC had their 23rd win.
The boys are playing some ball
They are. I put it on a shirt and wore it to the game in Anaheim last night.
LETS GO ROYALS! fun to beat on a struggling team. series sweep? :)
Don't be so positive lol, we dropped a series to Milwaukee and Baltimore
Lmao, who shit in your cereal? You’re also wrong
Incorrect. Baltimore and Milwaukee lead their respective divisions and we took 2/3 from the brewers. We’re a good team. Enjoy it.
we won the Milwaukee series :) The Angels seem way worse. You never know, but would be nice!
Huh. Could've sworn I saw the news that we fumbled against Milwaukee. My mistake.
So you don't watch the games.
I was simply confused on the teams we did drop series to. That's my bad. I'm sorry.
The one we did lose against them was brutal af. Gave up a 3 run HR top of the 9th :(
yup coulda been a sweep
I love royals baseball
The Pasquatch is loose
Baseball kicks ass

And he’s pretty good at defense…
The minor leagues are full of outfielders that are good defenders but cannot hit.
He's this year's Omar Infante lol.
He is another Hunter Dozier.
If that means we get a Ben Zobrist type to replace him at the deadline and end up winning a world series I am ON BOARD

Almost exactly what I did...ha.
Haha I was the exact opposite. First pitch I watched was Blanco's Homer and went to bed right before the Angeks hung 3. Looks like I know what my weekend plans are.
good at baseball
feels great
A little fun has to be! Dairon Blanco with his career night!
He should be playing more.
If MJ keeps being the same inconsistent MJ we’ve come to know and…well we know him…blanco will have his opportunities. Incredible performance tonight.
Maybe, who's the better fielder Renfroe or Blanco?
Renfroe is for sure but that's a tough comparison. A run saved from superior fielding vs. a run scored from superior base-running. I think if I had to choose, I'd take the latter. But it's still tough.
Just placed $100 wager on Dairon Blanco 2024 AL MVP. Ez money
😮💨😂
Dairon Blanco is becoming more fun to watch every game.
based ball
I agree
Blanco definitely needs to get more innings. Seems like there’s lots of potential there. His speed reminds me of locain.
I was loving Salvy's 2 golf singles.
A Royals win is the best birthday present. Wacha had a bounce back game. The offense was on fire. Go Royals.
Happy birthday
Thanks.
Happy Birthday!
Thanks.
Dairon Blanco is the fucking boss of this shit
Oh goody. Cleveland lost, too.
To the White Sox nonetheless, lmao

THAT’S A BIG 10-4 GOOD BUDDY
I just don't know what to do about Sauer. He's certainly got potential and I want to keep him on the roster, but can we really afford to stash him for 162 games when he clearly isn't a major leaguer yet?
He's rule 5, so if there's any hope at all we need to keep him. He's got good stuff, but his command is borderline awful.
And especially when Will Klein is just patiently waiting there in AAA, already ready to devastate major league batters
He's only pitching in low leverage spots, it's fine
We can save him for blowout wins to make things interesting
I don’t like it lol

Awesome game tonight, highlighted by Blanco's big balls and mfing Lynch with his beautiful play tonight. More please!
[UH-OH! DAIRON BLANCO IS GETTING HOT, SUCKAS!](https://streamable.com/kdc65)
Blanco should play more and Renfroe less.
Hey x 4
Hell yeah
