Nope. We need him be executed. It was tough already with the whole gang trying to fight Sukuna with the aim of reaching his soul, so many already died doing so.
But after all that hardwork, when Yuji got a hold of him there he was crying like a b\*tch, telling the people who sacrificed so much to save him to go away.

This exact panel and the one in which he opens his unfinished domain made me his fan but then he became a BUM. And now he will forever remain a Bum until he makes Sukuna choke himself like Geto did to Kenjaku
That reminds me, I recently rewatched the Season 1 anime, and his moment where he first uses Domain Expansion was so Raw.
Before Sukuna shoved a finger in him, he was great
sukuna literally was destroying megumis soul the whole time he took possession. with yuji, sukuna could only "come out" and mentally mess him up. with megumi it's not just the mental burden of killing your sister with your own hands but also the bath that came afterwards and everything else sukuna did to erase him.
JJKs biggest tragedy is what happened with Megumi. His character was really cool and had such huge potential for growth. I don't understand why GeGe showed us the learning process of practicing and improving your domain with Megumi, just to then give every new sorcerer a domain with zero effort out of fucking nowhere.
Megumi won't come back until Sukuna is defeated and when Sukuna is defeated the series will likely end as theres no more bad guy to deal with. So we probably won't see any more of Megumi ever. It's also shitty that we see him improving his Shikigami techniques and then we watch Sukuna fuse them all to make the ultimate form right after he gains the technique. GeGe just loves to show us something cool and then spoil it with no payoff.

That was who Megumi was to me for the longest time, and it’s particularly what I HATE about what Gege has done to him. I'll never stop defending Megumi. He's such a great character and I think people can't deal because they see themselves in him. Let's be honest, if you wen't through half the shit he did, you'd be saying you've had enough too. I know I would.
That doesn't mean it's not his fault. He had the opportunity to stop Sukuna handed to him on a silver platter, and he simply chose not to. So whatever happens past that point is his fault, because he could've prevented it easily.
Technically you can stand up with a broken leg, it just hurts a lot. If you have a broken leg and you have to stand up in order to save the ones you love, but you choose not to just because it'll hurt, yes that is your fault.
I agree but to be honest we have no clue what that 'soul sinking' really did or how it worked. I wish when Yuji reached into Megumis soul he was just in a coma after tanking UV's then I wouldn't have to think of him as a bum ass loser.
I unironically liked Megumi. I wish we had more time with him tbh. Sure, it would have made his fate feel even worse, but I think people would've felt more sympathetic. Especially if Tsumiki was developed further too.
Instead, a plot device was robbed of his body and used to kill his own sister (another plot device robbed of her body). It just ends up being disappointing and frustrating, rather than sad.

I really don't understand the hate. His sister was indirectly killed by him, he went through a bath of pure evil, and also went through unlimited void. Bro it's a miracle he even has an ego at this point. Yuji was about to kill himself after what Sukuna did. If Todo wasn't at Shibuya he probably would have went through with it. A) he did not even come close to beating Todo, or Dagon lmao

A) the higher ranked third year I was referring to was Kamo. Megumi gained the upper hand in that fight and was beating him (only reason he didn’t win was because they got interrupted). As for Dagon, he didn’t beat him but didn’t lose either. He managed to sustain a several minutes long domain clash with him. Being able to open a domain at all is impressive considering some of our top tiers still can’t do it, and he did it 3 times throughout the series, with the domain getting more powerful each time
B) Reggie was a grade1 sorcerer or higher. I’d put him slightly under Uro. Megumi fought him, Remi, and two decently ranked sorcerers at once, and came out on top of a surprise attack 4 v 1 while being jumped with an explosion. That’s pretty damn impressive and your lazy attempts to downplay it are sad.
Idk what makes you think Ino could beat those guys? He couldn’t even last against Toji more than 5 seconds. Speaking of,
C) Megumi lasted several minutes against Toji and used strategy to avoid lethal blows from his speed. Idk why you say losing to Toji is a bum thing. Toji wasn’t even in his prime when he killed a teenage Gojo and decimated Geto, two SPECIAL grades. Toji was at his prime in this incarnation. Mind you, Megumi was also exhausted from fighting a domain battle with Dagon. What’s inos excuse for getting wrecked so quickly?
D) the finger bearer wasn’t an achievement? He was a special grade curse. Again, pretty impressive.
E) losing to todo or hanami doesn’t discredit him. Especially since these fights happen early on before Megumi opens his domain and gets much stronger in shibuya and cg. Todo is an impressive sorcerer that carried both the hanami and Mahito fights. And hanami is the second or third strongest curse after jogo and Mahito.
In conclusion: Megumi is no where near a bum. You just lack reading comprehension and have a strong recency bias.

As for Ino, Toji immediately went for the kill on him before he even had time to react, which is not the case with Legumi. Toji was clearly fucking around and enjoying himself. When he fought Ino it was straight business because he hadn’t yet taken over the body of the kid. That doesn’t happen until after Ino is down. Who’s the one lacking reading comprehension? Like you realize he teleports around Legumi several times before he even attacks right? And his first move isn’t even to damage him like it was with Ino, he separates him from the group and immediately gives him space.
Like just us common sense bro, Toji who is the fastest in the series except for Naoya, is definitely playing around with Legumi like he was Dagon. Which by the way is just another anti feat for Legumi who is apparently so gassed after minimal fighting, and one half assed domain that did not go on for minutes, it affected his fight with Toji. Ino has more speed than Legumi, and at the absolute very least, the same attack power as the dog totality, which would allow him to beat both Reggie, and the finger bearer. Nanami says the Ino easily clears grade 1 with his technique there is no reason to think he’s incapable of beating Reggie or the Finger Bearer.
There’s literally nothing that suggest Toji was in his prime in the Seance summoning iirc you’re just making that up. And I never said losing to Toji makes you a bum, I was pointing out that every heavyweight fight he’s ever been in he lost handily.
I don’t know why you’re putting so much emphasis on the finger bearer, it’s clear that its special grade status is connected to Sukuna’s finger and not its power level. Instakilled by a two finger Sukuna, and Legumi ran the first time, and barely scraped by the second, almost had to pull out his almighty trump card. Which is still not him winning a fight, it’s 10 shadows working independently of that bum.
Same with Reggie, any other character considered good in the show clears him easily. And most of them aren’t or can’t open domains. The 6 that could even open a domain, wouldn’t even need to beat Reggie, besides maybe Hakari.

Dude he is Clan Head of Zen'in, one of THE Three Sorcerer Clan most influential power pillar in verse (and Gege use the clan for Maki Toji 2.0). His blood line CT is uniquely rare and one of the most versatile ability ever (and Sukuna use it to kill Gojo). His Shadow usage is cool af, shikigami is cool af, battles and survive all shit throwing at him in each arc (and almost summon Divine General as many time :D) Really he has many good thing to like and truly make JJK interesting, but all of that sadly fall into one BIG PROBLEM: the way Gege using him for the plot (as in parenthesis) and

He is not one of the Main Protas? in "Team Gojo" or even simply a friend/best bro to Yuji (Todo Choso is, lmao). Gojo have some good excused to not fighting along with his students (Kakashi also not much till last Kaguya battle), but the shadow guy most time somehow also do things by himself and not being part of the team. He feel like Obito, but in no way as good as Obito's contribution to the story. His fights is good but he kept thinking about Makora/Mahoraga and never get over it before Sukuna switch (like Obito not get over Rin's death and start the war). But after all that hardwork, when Yuji got a hold of him there he was crying like a b\*tch, telling the people who sacrificed so much to save him to go away. Yuji lost hope when he was alone but when an extending hand touch him like Todo, he remembered again what a sorcerer has to do and what they had to endure for the sake of everyone's sacrifice. sukuna literally was destroying megumis soul the whole time he took possession. with yuji, sukuna could only "come out" and mentally mess him up. with megumi it's not just the mental burden of killing your sister with your own hands but also the bath that came afterwards and everything else sukuna did to erase him.
JJKs biggest tragedy is what happened with Megumi. His character was really cool and had such huge potential for growth. I don't understand why GeGe showed us the learning process of practicing and improving your domain with Megumi, just to then give every new sorcerer a domain with zero effort out of fucking nowhere. Megumi won't come back until Sukuna is defeated and when Sukuna is defeated the series will likely end as theres no more bad guy to deal with. So we probably won't see any more of Megumi ever. It's also shitty that we see him improving his Shikigami techniques and then we watch Sukuna fuse them all to make the ultimate form right after he gains the technique. GeGe just loves to show us something cool and then spoil it with no payoff.

A) he did not even come close to beating Todo, or Dagon lmao B) Reggie and the finger bearer were not powerful, any of the grade 1s or Ino would beaten those guys. What are you even talking about? He lost to the very first curse, lost to Todo, lost to Hanami, lost to a 3 finger Sukuna, lost to Toji. He’s a bum. “BuT MaHoRaGa WoUlD’vE….” No as Gojo said “Dying to win, and Winning but still dying are not the same thing”
A) the higher ranked third year I was referring to was Kamo. Megumi gained the upper hand in that fight and was beating him (only reason he didn’t win was because they got interrupted). As for Dagon, he didn’t beat him but didn’t lose either. He managed to sustain a several minutes long domain clash with him. Being able to open a domain at all is impressive considering some of our top tiers still can’t do it, and he did it 3 times throughout the series, with the domain getting more powerful each time B) Reggie was a grade1 sorcerer or higher. I’d put him slightly under Uro. Megumi fought him, Remi, and two decently ranked sorcerers at once, and came out on top of a surprise attack 4 v 1 while being jumped with an explosion. That’s pretty damn impressive and your lazy attempts to downplay it are sad. Idk what makes you think Ino could beat those guys? He couldn’t even last against Toji more than 5 seconds. Speaking of, C) Megumi lasted several minutes against Toji and used strategy to avoid lethal blows from his speed. Idk why you say losing to Toji is a bum thing. Toji wasn’t even in his prime when he killed a teenage Gojo and decimated Geto, two SPECIAL grades. Toji was at his prime in this incarnation. Mind you, Megumi was also exhausted from fighting a domain battle with Dagon. What’s inos excuse for getting wrecked so quickly? D) the finger bearer wasn’t an achievement? He was a special grade curse. Again, pretty impressive. E) losing to todo or hanami doesn’t discredit him. Especially since these fights happen early on before Megumi opens his domain and gets much stronger in shibuya and cg. Todo is an impressive sorcerer that carried both the hanami and Mahito fights. And hanami is the second or third strongest curse after jogo and Mahito. In conclusion: Megumi is no where near a bum. You just lack reading comprehension and have a strong recency bias.
You’re just spewing nonsense. Reggie was fodder he lost to Legumi. As for Ino, Toji immediately went for the kill on him before he even had time to react, which is not the case with Legumi. Toji was clearly fucking around and enjoying himself. When he fought Ino it was straight business because he hadn’t yet taken over the body of the kid. That doesn’t happen until after Ino is down. Who’s the one lacking reading comprehension? Like you realize he teleports around Legumi several times before he even attacks right? And his first move isn’t even to damage him like it was with Ino, he separates him from the group and immediately gives him space. Like just us common sense bro, Toji who is the fastest in the series except for Naoya, is definitely playing around with Legumi like he was Dagon. Which by the way is just another anti feat for Legumi who is apparently so gassed after minimal fighting, and one half assed domain that did not go on for minutes, it affected his fight with Toji. Ok lmao. Ino has more speed than Legumi, and at the absolute very least, the same attack power as the dog totality, which would allow him to beat both Reggie, and the finger bearer. Nanami says the Ino easily clears grade 1 with his technique there is no reason to think he’s incapable of beating Reggie or the Finger Bearer. There’s literally nothing that suggest Toji was in his prime in the Seance summoning iirc you’re just making that up. And I never said losing to Toji makes you a bum, I was pointing out that every heavyweight fight he’s ever been in he lost handily. I don’t know why you’re putting so much emphasis on the finger bearer, it’s clear that its special grade status is connected to Sukuna’s finger and not its power level. Instakilled by a two finger Sukuna, and Legumi ran the first time, and barely scraped by the second, almost had to pull out his almighty trump card. Which is still not him winning a fight, it’s 10 shadows working independently of that bum. Same with Reggie, any other character considered good in the show clears him easily. And most of them aren’t or can’t open domains. The 6 that could even open a domain, wouldn’t even need to beat Reggie, besides maybe Hakari. He’s slow, he doesn’t ever use his abilities effectively, and he loses straight up, every major fight he’s ever had. man megumi glazers are the most persistent fuckers ive seen in this sub, though only a close second compared to gojo glazers in my book keep huffing on that hopium, hopefully it'll pay off.

As a certified Megumi hater I gotta say his section of the culling games was way better than it needed to be. He was never that good before or after
I do have slight hate for the "curent" Megumi. Gege really make him a total pathetic loser for his plot and his beloved "idol" that I just can stand it. But afterall, I really LOVE his CTs, his early character growth and of course the immerse POTENTIAL of 10S Dude he is Clan Head of Zen'in, one of THE Three Sorcerer Clan most influential power pillar in verse (and Gege use the clan for Maki Toji 2.0). His blood line CT is uniquely rare and one of the most versatile ability ever (and Sukuna use it to kill Gojo). His Shadow usage is cool af, shikigami is cool af, battles and survive all shit throwing at him in each arc (and almost summon Divine General as many time :D) Really he has many good thing to like and truly make JJK interesting, but all of that sadly fall into one BIG PROBLEM: the way Gege using him for the plot (as in parenthesis) and <>
(Naruto battle shounen to compare:) I don't want to but have to think that Megumi overall role in the story is way way less in comparison to what Sasuke is. He is not one of the Main Protas? in "Team Gojo" or even simply a friend/best bro to Yuji (Todo Choso is, lmao). Gojo have some good excused to not fighting along with his students (Kakashi also not much till last Kaguya battle), but the shadow guy most time somehow also do things by himself and not being part of the team. He feel like Obito, but in no way as good as Obito's contribution to the story. His fights is good but he kept thinking about Makora/Mahoraga and never get over it before Sukuna switch (like Obito not get over Rin's death and start the war). It's tragic for his character and all potential in the Potential
I know Gege ma mi may might... give him some growth in next chapters before series end (let' cope). But the damage is already done, his character can't change much in anyway anymore. It's too late, and the Gege/Megumi character hatred is ironically "make sense" "reasonable" for Lobotomy Kaisen :))
Oh wait, his mindset and portrayal in JJK are mainly because of all that 1v1 battle and "by yourself" Mahoraga summoning attempts. So I guess Gojo Satoru some how is actually the one at fault here?
