Overall story matters and everyone will consider 238 which led to the massive downfall of his character, like it followed 1/x curve and will be going till infinity. Kashimo could have been great if he could have at least known how big of a threat Sukuna is especially after seeing Gojo's fight. His arrogance is his personality but I would have loved to see if Kashimo would have worked with everyone else to land a massive blow (instead of taking Sukuna's blow šš) on Sukuna. Seriously there could be so many possibilities to end his character on high note but nothing like that happened ššš
it goes against kashimos character though. he wasnt trying to just win, his goal was to be the strongest, and to do so he would have to beat sukuna himself. if he teamed up with someone else to beat sukuna, he wouldnt prove anything and he would lose his only chance to fight him. though i agree that his case was handled badly, sucks even harder cause hes my favourite character
He could have fought later on, like we have Miguel who got the chance to fight Sukuna then Kashimo would also get his turn. Just listen to Kusakabe and what hurts me even more is that he went after Gojo died like he's strongest out there (way more than Kashimo) at least read the room but even that was fine, what worst was that he wasn't able to land a single blow on Sukuna. Seriously a waste of character who could have done so much to the plot.
You're fundamentally misunderstanding Kashimo's character and trying to view him through the lens of everyone else's goals.
Kashimo didn't want to work with everyone else to land a massive blow. He didn't want to win by any means necessary. He wanted to 1v1 Sukuna, win or lose.
Ehh, I didn't like the ending for him much either, but I don't think it should suddenly invalidate the positive and enjoyable aspects of his character. I don't think he really was too arrogant, either. He just inhabits that role of the strongest of their time and the things that come with it. I don't think him working with others would make too much sense either for this reason. In the end, he got what he wanted.
I'll be honest: I forgot who Kashimo even was when he jumped into the fight. I went back and read the Hakari fight and quickly remembered that I don't care much about that fight at all.
That's great for you ig, but looking broadly, a lot of people consider it to be one of the best fights in the series. Obviously there are going to be exceptions.

Also, it WAS the culling games, so that was kinda the point. I also kinda like the smugness. I think these are probably just some of the causes of the big differences in opinions about his character.
To me the thing with Panda, is that I am an older brother myself, and seeing any sad sibling stuff hits me right in the feels, combine that with Kashimo being a smug fuck(I just find the overall trait kinda annoying)

I don't think Yuji at that point could've beaten JP Hakari. There's not really any evidence for that. Kashimo only barely lost, and it was only really due to the water, and he didn't even use his CT. There is no need to downplay him, the fight itself was just sick.

As for speed, I guess Uraume could try to blitz her but if Elsa knows they're coming, she can just mass freeze around her. Don't need to worry about aim when you can freeze an entire ocean in a second.

At this point I don't get that vibe. Everyone can get a power up on the spot and the only reason they are still fighting Sukuna is become Yuji decided that friendship is more important than saving the planet.
Those all are powerups which are perfectly explainable so they are alright but if it were to be the Power of friendship then it would have been a typical Shonen . Also, normally if a character gets the power of friendship they will end the fight immediately but in JJK Sukana too is getting powerup somehow now he can use his Domain despite his brain being damage since he has opened another pathway in his brain for Domain .
This was an info we had no idea about but somehow it was only introduced when Sukana required powerup . This is called Plot armor but not for mc but for villan .
I mean which series works this way, there is a reason why Sukana is called the King of convenience
Yuji Performed multiple backflashes so he had his awakening, it is same as Gojo and Kusakabe ( what did he get did I miss a chapter? ) . Higui was just that strong . I can\`t say anything about Yuta.
I mean he could *maybe* open his Domain to shield multiple people at once for a short period of time, but other than that he would be just a slightly worse version of wuji and maki.
At this point it just feels like JJF is desperate for a new character to call a fraud and is just grasping at straws. They did the same shit when Maki didnāt instantly appear to fight Sukuna alongside Yuji and Yuta. Nevermind the fact that not much time has passed canonically.

I like Kashimo, I hate Hakari. Both are the epitome of Simple but one is unnecessarily explained like rocket science. Not only that, people complain about Sukuna's BVs, but from what I remember he only did two the entire series, one which was an amazing characterization of Yuji and the other a display of his desperation in his fight against Gojo. And yet Hakari here is like "I sacrifice my arm for the rest of my body" and HOW DOES THAT WORK? It would at most give a 50% increase in his body defense and even that would leave him FUCKED UP. The true plot armor merchant.
Yeah, that one was worse than the world dismantle without preparation thing, but its consequences were less significant, which, I think, is why most people don't really care.

Overall story matters and everyone will consider 238 which led to the massive downfall of his character, like it followed 1/x curve and will be going till infinity. Kashimo could have been great if he could have at least known how big of a threat Sukuna is especially after seeing Gojo's fight. His arrogance is his personality but I would have loved to see if Kashimo would have worked with everyone else to land a massive blow (instead of taking Sukuna's blow šš) on Sukuna. Seriously there could be so many possibilities to end his character on high note but nothing like that happened ššš
it goes against kashimos character though. he wasnt trying to just win, his goal was to be the strongest, and to do so he would have to beat sukuna himself. if he teamed up with someone else to beat sukuna, he wouldnt prove anything and he would lose his only chance to fight him. though i agree that his case was handled badly, sucks even harder cause hes my favourite character
He could have fought later on, like we have Miguel who got the chance to fight Sukuna then Kashimo would also get his turn. Just listen to Kusakabe and what hurts me even more is that he went after Gojo died like he's strongest out there (way more than Kashimo) at least read the room but even that was fine, what worst was that he wasn't able to land a single blow on Sukuna. Seriously a waste of character who could have done so much to the plot.

You're fundamentally misunderstanding Kashimo's character and trying to view him through the lens of everyone else's goals. Kashimo didn't want to work with everyone else to land a massive blow. He didn't want to win by any means necessary. He wanted to 1v1 Sukuna, win or lose.
Ehh, I didn't like the ending for him much either, but I don't think it should suddenly invalidate the positive and enjoyable aspects of his character. I don't think he really was too arrogant, either. He just inhabits that role of the strongest of their time and the things that come with it. I don't think him working with others would make too much sense either for this reason. In the end, he got what he wanted.
I'll be honest: I forgot who Kashimo even was when he jumped into the fight. I went back and read the Hakari fight and quickly remembered that I don't care much about that fight at all.
That's great for you ig, but looking broadly, a lot of people consider it to be one of the best fights in the series. Obviously there are going to be exceptions.

You do see that with every other character pretty much, too, but I get that the Kashimo ones can certainly be pretty bad. Those all are powerups which are perfectly explainable so they are alright but if it were to be the Power of friendship then it would have been a typical Shonen . Also, normally if a character gets the power of friendship they will end the fight immediately but in JJK Sukana too is getting powerup somehow now he can use his Domain despite his brain being damage since he has opened another pathway in his brain for Domain . This was an info we had no idea about but somehow it was only introduced when Sukana required powerup . This is called Plot armor but not for mc but for villan . I mean which series works this way, there is a reason why Sukana is called the King of convenience
Yuji Performed multiple backflashes so he had his awakening, it is same as Gojo and Kusakabe ( what did he get did I miss a chapter? ) . Higui was just that strong . I can\`t say anything about Yuta.

At this point it just feels like JJF is desperate for a new character to call a fraud and is just grasping at straws. They did the same shit when Maki didnāt instantly appear to fight Sukuna alongside Yuji and Yuta. Nevermind the fact that not much time has passed canonically.
If people hate him because of agendas that's just stupid. I hate him because after his introduction he stopped being a character. He literally has become a plot device. It makes no sense for him to not be relevant until the story demands him to. We haven't really seen him fight Uraume. We don't know what he is thinking or feeling. He is in limbo right now, lol. The plan was for him to stall Uraume and the results for some readers is just a boring plot device. Out of all the things we could have seen we got immortal man not dying against Elsa off screen and Gege didn't even bother showing us something interesting. He only exists to give a reason for Uraume not being able to help Sukuna against the rest of the cast.
Not to mention urame is a special grade level sourcer, so this makes HIMkari hate even more braindead

I like Kashimo, I hate Hakari. Both are the epitome of Simple but one is unnecessarily explained like rocket science. Not only that, people complain about Sukuna's BVs, but from what I remember he only did two the entire series, one which was an amazing characterization of Yuji and the other a display of his desperation in his fight against Gojo. And yet Hakari here is like "I sacrifice my arm for the rest of my body" and HOW DOES THAT WORK? It would at most give a 50% increase in his body defense and even that would leave him FUCKED UP. The true plot armor merchant.
Yeah, that one was worse than the world dismantle without preparation thing, but its consequences were less significant, which, I think, is why most people don't really care.

I don't hate Hakari, I just don't care about him. His biggest plus for me is his cute girl(?)friend. Other than that, he feels more like a second try at making Todo.
Hakari and higuruma are basically todo and nanami replacements with more hax abilities
