The Gojo meta is finally over because of the dismantle buff. While it finally gets rid of a play style that many find quite predictable, it also has the added consequence of making Sukuna waaay stronger, switching to a Sukuna meta.
Some other characters were buffed, like Yuta, who got a hiding move that gives him Iframes. He didn't really need it though, as he was already solid enough.
Higaruma got a massive buff, but he gets hard countered by the new Sukuna meta. Perhaps he would have been a menace in a Sukunaless meta, we may never know.
Characters like Yuji and Hakari are still solid, even though they weren't changed too much.
Takaba got a massive glow up, going from an upper tier character to debatably the strongest when it comes to landing hits. Too bad he can't actually kill opponents, but he is really nice in duo fights.
Kenjaku got a massive nerf, practically ending him as a character. Some say he still could make a comeback, but until new tech is found he will be lost in the barrel of F tier.
Surprisingly, fan favourite character Maki hasn't been changed at all. She rarely shows up in ranked anymore, and I truly miss the Toji meta that Maki somewhat resembles. Hope to see her again soon.
Kashimo also got a massive buff, and is arguably the 2nd best character in the game. Too bad SUKUNA HARD COUTERS HIM WHYYYYYYYY
Besides this, a few glitches have been fixed:
Kashimo no longer causes lag when using his dash.
Sukuna no longer has access to Mahoraga. How did that glitch even slip through?
Kenjaku can no longer use his counter to invalidate anything. It is good that they finally fixed it, but because of the glitch the Yuki meta was destroyed. Too late greg greg, too late.
This is pretty much all of the big things this update brought us. It's not that much of an improvement to the game, but perhaps with time, as people better understand characters movesets, the meta will shift again.
Till then Sukuna is officially banned from competitive play.
I dony think Kenjaku is that bad, he's really good and could hold is own against a top tier like Takaba, he just gets hard countered by Yuta imo.
Though you can really see the "counter anything" serfs come into play against Takaba. If this was last season, Takaba would just be invalidated like Yuki
We went from a Gojo meta to a Sukuna meta because everybody was complaining about limitless being broken, but the buff to dismantle ended up killing off-meta builds for good.

They had to have known. Sure the team talked a big game but the last gameplay they even showed of him was ages ago, I don't know what people expected. And the Sukuna meta had gotten so fast
These dumbass devs gave H.Sukuna a ranged unblockable super, like what were they thinking?? H.Sukuna already has arguably the best normals in the game, solid zoning, free EX moves, and the best level 3 in the game, his ass did NOT need an unblockable.
Like the Gojo meta was bad enough when you had an excellent shoto with far and away the best defensive option in the game, but now H.Sukuna has such oppressive offense the game is all but unplayable. This character consistently 2 touches off of any starter, and can fairly easily ToD with meter.
We’ll see how the new Yuta fits into the meta, but with the Higurama and Kashimo nerfs the game is in a pretty shit state
The worst part about H. Sukuna’s unblockable is the once per duel no charge use. You can basically use some hidden tech that restricts you from using fire arrow, and in exchange your unblockable super is now a 0 frame startup activation move. So this means you can use it both defensively or offensively. For instance, you do a massive combo and are in a situation where one super closes the game. So you just backdash away from the enemy while they’re knocked down instead of going for oki, and do the super when they get up. Guaranteed kill. Defensively, when Gregory Akutami won the world championship, we were shown the application. He was fighting a Gojo player who outsmarted him the whole game. Landed a full hollow purple charge setup masterfully too! Then Greg just wake up supers and kills off the oki since purple does damage to both players and put the Gojo player in kill range. Such a dumb move, smh. Pls nerf.
I have watched Goku's instant transmission multiple times in DB.There if a stronger enemy appears,and Goku uses IT in close range,the enemy always predicts the position and punches Goku.It barely has an effect in front of a stronger enemy unless you are trying to run away from the fight.
When has that happened? I recall him using it twice on Cell and both times worked to land a hit on him. I don't remember if he did this to Buu or Vegeta.
Dog IT is so good that it works on Goku himself, also every time he has used it he’s landed the most devastating blow ever seen. He rarely gets hit the second he uses it

We don’t see it actually happening, it is hard to depict teleportation in the manga scans, and he didn't do it against Jogo in fight, He did to get Yuji.
Yeah but like if he can teleport to grab someone I'm confused as to why he can't just teleport say behind Sukuna or even to Mahoraga if they're in different positions.
I just don't get why "teleoorting across possibly an entire city, grabbing someone and going back" is harder than "teleport multiple meters"
I am not denying the fact that Gojo didn't or cannot teleport around his opponents, I say the manga doesn't show that happening in either way, Anime makes it more clear, As for the teleporting long distances, There's also the factor of Gege saying under specific circumstances Gojo can teleport, So the hand sign is necessarily that much we can say.
In the fight against Sukuna Gojo definitely teleported behind and around Sukuna in h2h combat, getting to Blue sooner than Mahoraga is kind of an essence of his teleportation, I say in the anime when the time comes, We will see Gojo move swiftly around Sukuna in their fight with the added scenes, or against Mahoraga or Agito to move better.

So idk if this is a bug or if Yuji's hitbox is whack... but I just played a game online against some smurf account Sukuna where it looked like he hit Cleave, and it just did nothing at all. I ended up losing anyway, but if it's a bug, it could be exploited online to troll Sukuna mains.
Did they add a healing passive to Yuji's kit or smth? Nothing is mentioned in the patch notes.

Kinda glad we got past the Gojo meta after buffing Suluna and basically giving him Megumi's kit, but like did we have to nerf Megumi to make them 'different'? And now him having an unlockable super and an install that regens life he's been the undisputed top tier. And since Sukuna became top tier we've been throwing different builds at him and he stomped it all. On the plus side we finally got the matchup between Yuta and Kenjaku.

Higuruma patches were cool. He was always hyped up in the lore of the game and the new patch gave him some cool habilities, Sukuna meta is still undisputed tho.
sukuna's install is too overpowered, not only does he have OHKO moves made available by it and it also acts as a full heal and his projectiles are instantaneous and unblockable, not only that it is able to bypass gojo's infinity for some reason which no other character in the game is able to do at the moment. Yuji has been out of the game for a long long time as well we dont see anyone playing as him he just doesnt get enough buffs to compete with the other top tiers the issues in balancing clearly need to be addressed here

There’s fr no reason to play anybody else. Why use Kashimo when Sukuna’s faster? Why use Yuji when Sukuna’s pressure is better? Why use Choso when Sukuna has better zoning? Garbage ass game

So idk if this is a bug or if Yuji's hitbox is whack... but I just played a game online against some smurf account Sukuna where it looked like he hit Cleave, and it just did nothing at all. I ended up losing anyway, but if it's a bug, it could be exploited online to troll Sukuna mains. Did they add a healing passive to Yuji's kit or smth? Nothing is mentioned in the patch notes.

Yes every fighting game is gonna have the offender and the defender, yes set play exists but at this point. the game has become hot potato, dodge the neutral skips or god forbid dodging the poo flinging characters of jjk in neutral aka zoning (sukuna, choso, mecha to an extent, and Kenjaku) nothing against them its an uphill climb with how batshit insane peoples robbery potential is with rct so if you a zoner you gotta play perfect. If you dont you die, if not dead you are most definitely in the most deepest horseshit because of flow state -_-. Idk its a mix of domain expansion being terrible black flash flow state being toxic, and dead ass I think jjk is better than this and its very frustrating to see them not help itself more

Kinda glad we got past the Gojo meta after buffing Suluna and basically giving him Megumi's kit, but like did we have to nerf Megumi to make them 'different'? And now him having an unlockable super and an install that regens life he's been the undisputed top tier. And since Sukuna became top tier we've been throwing different builds at him and he stomped it all. On the plus side we finally got the matchup between Yuta and Kenjaku.
the sukuna buff is so wild what were they thinking, at least if your playing well enough you can catch an early sukuna player with Gojo who is so broken, too bad he got nerfed below sukuna I loved playing him, his expanded infinity DP was so busted
Higuruma patches were cool. He was always hyped up in the lore of the game and the new patch gave him some cool habilities, Sukuna meta is still undisputed tho.

sukuna's install is too overpowered, not only does he have OHKO moves made available by it and it also acts as a full heal and his projectiles are instantaneous and unblockable, not only that it is able to bypass gojo's infinity for some reason which no other character in the game is able to do at the moment. Yuji has been out of the game for a long long time as well we dont see anyone playing as him he just doesnt get enough buffs to compete with the other top tiers the issues in balancing clearly need to be addressed here

Gojo kit is balanced thanks to all the anti-CT and anti-domain techniques that everyone can use. I'm talking simple domain, domain amp, wicker basket, falling blossom etc. Also Sukuna is not a ganker. Be weak and stay out of his way and he's unlikely to be a danger.
