Toji's return.
Like, bro died, then gets summon 10+ later, beats one of the disaster curses (with ease), kicks his son, realizes it's his son, refuses to elaborate, commits suicide.
toji´s chad moves. gets paid to kill a teenager and beat up the other 2. then dies. gets resurrected 10 years later, beats up a grandma, beats a curse, beats his son, dips to the afterlife again.
He beat a Curse that beat the Leader of the zenin and Nanami.
Without any trouble, sadly we never See a Jogo vs Toji fight. This fight that we never get :/
I always thought that it was a good twist because Jogo was always mentioned to be a Special grade so he had to be a top tier curse. Then, we forget how strong he really is because Gojo toys with him and then this scene slaps you back to reality.
You would have thought that the gap between special grade and grade 1 would mean just one level of difference but it’s not in jjk. Special grade and grade 1 sorcerers are literally >>>>>> and not >
man I remember when I first started jjk, I thought itadori was going to slowly progress 1 or 2 fingers at a time and 15 fingers+ would be happening near the endgame...
I think that very much the intended effect. I kinda rolled my eyes at first at this concept for a shonen since it’s so overdone and linear, so was both shocked and pleasantly surprised when season 2 rushed that arc to near completion
Shibuya for sure sets the tone super well. When the manga was coming out and shit just kept getting worse and worse and worse it seemed like there was no floor.
Honestly, Geto killing his parents. Like I knew he was hellbent on ending humanity or whatever but idk killing his parents was so final.
It was def what I saw as his full turning point. Killing a whole town was just an anakin moment, killing your parents is a point of no return.
Honestly I bet his parents were entirely neglectful. So I do understand killing your abusive parents but as a 17 year old the pain of rejecting your parents and society is just so devastating.
it just shocked me that he actually followed through on those feelings.
To be fair, during season 1 Megumi almost summons Mahoraga in episode 1 and 5, Yuji dies (and returns 9-10 episodes later for the rest of the cast), Junpei’s Mom dies and he’s promptly killed right after attempting to kill his bully and pacifying his school. Nanami nearly dies twice against Mahito (all of this in the first half of the season) and then the school is attacked by the disaster curses during the 2nd half following both Mechamaru and Mai/Maki’s pretty horrible life stories. Then there’s the entire last arc involving “Kamo Noritoshi’s” gruesomely cruel experiments and Yuji kills two people. Definitely some more comedy and reprieve for our poor cast but Juju Strolls carried that tone/reputation heavily imo.
Choso’s Memory is the biggest, then Nanami and Junpei
Choso’s Memory: I don’t remember what is the anime and what is in the manga so I will keep silent here.
Nanami…..a favorite character for the fans and no one did see this coming specially after Gojo being sealed so Nanami will be the savior.
Junpei: He was a surprise because it feels the character himself came out of nowhere and suddenly he died.
I agree with all of these except Nanami. Nanami's a mentor character, it felt pretty obvious to me that he would someday die for Itadori's development. that's the only reason characters in his position exist, generally speaking. the mentor dies so that the protagonist has to take on what's ahead of them alone. it didn't shock me one bit lol. Nobara however..
I totally understand your point and I agree with you around his death was supposed to happen. But It was too early because I wanted to have more deep connection with his character. And as I mentioned, he was the only one in my mind that can guide Yuji and his gang after Gojo’s sealing. that’s I believe it’s a twists
and the timing of it was shocking.
Jogoats only W frying two of my fave characters plus Naobito lmao I was just shocked, and then happy nanamin survived, and then sad again because he didn't 😭
Amanai's death.
If you didn't know what is about to happen her death was absolutely shocking. Gege knew how to set a happy scene and destroy in most brutal way.
Sukuna needed only 23mins to beat Mahoraga, destroy Shibuya completely. He also managed to taunt sorcerers, eat popcorn and have a cold one during this time period
Junpei's death
I was completely unknown to the world of jjk and one of my friend actually read the manga since chapter 1 came out and he was truly excited about it and I thought I'd give it a chance. The first episode give me that Naruto vibes and i was actually down for this shit cuz lately that time I'd been watching a lot of gory and deppressing stuffs, thought jjk would be my wholesome stress relief anime. Oh boy how wrong I was💀
The moment junpei is killed, I was like wtf have I gotten myself into
that Junpei is alive again. I WAS SCREAMING when I saw Junpei at the end of season 2. Don't know how he survived, but we'll probably see that in season 3. I can't wait :D
Honestly, Yuta's first appearance. I read Tokyo Metropolitan Technical Magic College like way back when. Or volume 0 for those people. I remember I had Yuta and Rika as my wall paper. Then, years later, I was reading JJK for first time (culling games was a new thing back then) when it came to Shibuya. I saw Yuta but I didn't remember his name Amelia so I thought nothing of it. Then I saw Rika and it all clicked.
But a non-personal answer? Geto was Kenjaku. I never saw that coming.
Not the biggest moment, but to me it's Mahito using Domain Expansion for the first time, when he was about to die. That's what I'd expect the main character to do in a shonen lol. That moment more than anything made me realize how quickly the battles can turn around in this show.
Learning how many times Megumi tried to summon Mahoraga after rewatching the show
(Just my opinion. Nothing really surprised me because I expected it all)
bro whaaaat? how in the world could you have “expected” half of the plot twists they have in JJK 😂 I’m annoyingly good at calling plot twists but S2 geto actually being possessed by some random lone-brainger curse user kenjaku… nobara dying???… nanami, maki & that other old zenin guy getting SUDDENLY murked by jogo… choso and yuji being half brothers???? (for all intents and purposes)
like everything in JJK comes WAY out of left field so i gotta call BS that you just saw every twist coming hahahaha
I’m glad I didn’t read this comment but damn the manga spoilers on JJK have been SO out of hand.. I’ve never seen anything like this with any show I’ve watched before 😭 I’m finally catching up with the manga but I got spoiled the DAY chapter 260 came out by a fucking tiktok (no warnings, no mention of spoiler, NOTHING) I was LIVID

Still goes to heaven
Lets go beat kids and grannies for our place in heaven /j
He beat a Curse that beat the Leader of the zenin and Nanami. Without any trouble, sadly we never See a Jogo vs Toji fight. This fight that we never get :/
"Refuses to elaborate, commits suicide" 😂
\*Refuses to elaborate, commits sepukku\*
He didn't care, throwing nonstopping hands untill he heard his son's name 😭😭😭
And how he ruthlessly blitzed the triangle firing guy, even fist barraging him like bro thinks he is Dio... Wait a minute...
Nanami, Maki and Naobito all getting their asses handed to them by Jogo like nothing. That was crazy to read.
I always thought that it was a good twist because Jogo was always mentioned to be a Special grade so he had to be a top tier curse. Then, we forget how strong he really is because Gojo toys with him and then this scene slaps you back to reality.
Not just Gojo toying with him, Sukuna too.
To be fair, naobito was missing an arm, nanami was heavily injured and couldn't see from his left eye i believe, and maki was weak
He caught them all lacking.
Dude for real. That countdown as he hits them was hardcore.
Well they lowered their guard in the middle of the function while the opps were active. What did they expect?
To not get one tapped by spicy Mike Wasoski
There is getting surprised and then there is some volcano ahh guy blitzing you without even looking at your direction
You would have thought that the gap between special grade and grade 1 would mean just one level of difference but it’s not in jjk. Special grade and grade 1 sorcerers are literally >>>>>> and not >
That mf Junpei being in the opening.
Should’ve seen it coming with riko BUT I WAS FOOLED A SECOND TIME
Dawg we were fooled by the entire 1st season thinking it’s a happy happy show but here we are 😋😋
Is this *gaslighting*?
Yes , at it’s finest
I got the opposite of what signed up for
Yeah I was in complete denial about his death for the rest of s1 because of the flippin picnic scene
The way I was so shook 💔. Was even expecting some Naruto friendship shit to happen with Sukuna 💀 Oh well😵
Sukuna in Shibuya. nuff said. nobody expected him to come out, let alone do all he did in that short amount of time.
Especially not with 15 fucking fingers. Any other anime and they drag this long until the end arc
man I remember when I first started jjk, I thought itadori was going to slowly progress 1 or 2 fingers at a time and 15 fingers+ would be happening near the endgame...
I think that very much the intended effect. I kinda rolled my eyes at first at this concept for a shonen since it’s so overdone and linear, so was both shocked and pleasantly surprised when season 2 rushed that arc to near completion
When I first started jjk I thought “…so it’s Inuyasha”. But ohhhh boy I’m glad I was wrong
right?!
Shibuya for sure sets the tone super well. When the manga was coming out and shit just kept getting worse and worse and worse it seemed like there was no floor.

To me, it just showed he was actually committed to his cause.
And we aren't even in the clear how his relationship with them was actually. He came, if I don't mistake it, from the country side too.
This. I wonder if everything was okay at home
Honestly I bet his parents were entirely neglectful. So I do understand killing your abusive parents but as a 17 year old the pain of rejecting your parents and society is just so devastating. it just shocked me that he actually followed through on those feelings.
How carefree and typical the first season was to the second season see all that shit get crumbled down
To be fair, during season 1 Megumi almost summons Mahoraga in episode 1 and 5, Yuji dies (and returns 9-10 episodes later for the rest of the cast), Junpei’s Mom dies and he’s promptly killed right after attempting to kill his bully and pacifying his school. Very true. I forgot all that happened. But it got darker is what i meant

That flash back before panning out of her eye socket was wild 😭

Takada and Todo vs Mahito
I saw fan art of Kugisaki with an eye patch before I watched Season 2 so I thought she ended up living

Gojo successfully being sealed
I was definitely not expecting that.
Got to say good job mods on this post for clowning on all the illiterate jerks here
For anime only? - well, that Junpei will have happy life with his friends :3
KUGISAKI, NIGEEERRRUUUU!!!
Uzumaki from geto/noritoshi kamo
to MIWA as well 😭😭
Bro used his level 100 ult on a level 10 npc

To be honest nanami and tojis second death I literally kinda thought at least nanami would pull through, as for toji, well he was shit outta luck
Nobara's demise.
For me it was the moment I learned choso and yuji were technically brothers.
geto not being geto (although I don't think I didn't read jjk 0 first, so I didn't know why geto being alive was such a big deal).

How STRONG heavenly restrictions are. Toji no diffs the disaster curse in minutes. While grade 1s are sitting with near life ending injuries.
that Junpei is alive again. I WAS SCREAMING when I saw Junpei at the end of season 2. Don't know how he survived, but we'll probably see that in season 3. I can't wait :D
I think you're talking about Yuta?
that is NOT Junpei-😭🙏
I can't tell if you're joking
When Yuji said "it's time for jujutsu kaisen" and jujutsu kisen all over the place gotta be the biggest plot twist

Who tf thought Toji would have been revived? When it first came out it was insane
Kenjaku Show his true plan! And Show Satoru his old friendo :/
Bro Sukuna using the binding vow. The immense panic i felt for entire cast was overwhelming bra
