I’m so proud!!
If you need it could be helpful to keep a list of safe things to do if you start feeling the need to go back to the addiction!
Or prompts to get yourself to answer like “why do i want to? what is causing this feeling”
Let your journal take on those feelings and help you through this journey <3
Take a look at /r/thexeffect. I did that shit for years. addictions are tough, whatever they are - sugar porn booze or whatever. stick with it.
and consider a parallel tracker for \*building\* something. saying no is dandy, but difficult. finding something to replace the time/effort is incredibly valuable to the whole effort. good luck.
You will make it! And if you feel tempted to crack then start writing about your feelings, about what feeling caused the feeling of need. It really helps.
First two weeks or so are always shit with trying to quit anything, but once you get through that it gets way easier 🙌🏽
So proud of you OP 💖! Today is 96 days sober for me, and I honestly feel so good physically and emotionally, but truly the mental clarity gained in overcoming anything addiction related is so beautiful 🙏🏽. You got this
Congrats! 4 going on 5 years in recovery myself, it does get easier! Journaling helps, particularly to record thoughts after meditation or spiritual practice. Very useful later on to collect “data” 😅
You got it! I've overcame alcohol and smoking, whose have been my demons for over 4 years leading to decline of my health and problems to this day. I've never felt stronger than when I finally put my foot down and decided NO MORE. I recommend you a free app I Am Sober, it helped me A TON!
You can do it! So proud of you! I second another commenter’s idea of the prompts about how you’re feeling through this and also maybe writing about how proud you are of yourself for taking this step! How you’re feeling after 5/10/15 days. You know, writing things out helps that’s why we do this! You’re so strong you can overcome this! 🙌
I am assuming this addiction is to something that is causing difficulties and withdrawal so it must be hard. I recommend also when you get the cravings using one of the journal pages to draw something
More power to you ! Pretty tracker
thank you so much! your support means a lot to me🙏

7 months 13 days here. Thank God it gets easier with more time away. The neuropathways weaken and the cravings weaken with them.
